((Sand n' Stuff))

Namini let out a squeal of joy, boldly but unknowingly wrapping her arms around the other's neck. Thank God her act had worked! Faster than a cheetah on the hunt, the brunette immediately let go as soon as she felt the other's defenses were low and stumbled once again towards the watery artillery.

"You shouldn't let your guard down, Josh," she purred, though Namini sounded about as cool as an ice cube sitting helplessly on a scorching summertime sidewalk. Smiling sweetly, she reached into the bucket of doom and hurled a beautifully plump, vivid pink balloon at the other boy's abdomen, "Otherwise, you might get wet."

Immediately after tossing the aquatic grenade, the curly haired brunette dove for more supplies. She'd have to be on her toes, otherwise Josh would surely have her wetter than the sea itself!

She gave a low huff and fluffed her hair once in annoyance when David oh so kindly voiced loudly his order of two virgins. She’d rather have something with a bit more bite to it, especially since she’d already had something earlier. Yet, her mind argued though that a free drink was a free drink no matter alcohol or not. Taking the drink from the horned man, Ebony gave a slight smile of recognition towards the barkeep and quietly said, “Thank you Doctor.” Her metallic gaze lingered on him only momentarily before returning to David. “And thank you, David, for the drink.”

Taking a sip and then pushing the slushy like drink around with her straw, Ebony’s nose wrinkled yet again in dislike. Paintball. Of course. The lavender haired girl gave a snort, “And being covered in paint isn’t? Though…I wouldn’t mind a man who’s somewhat flexible.” The Brit left it off there for him to process as he so wished. A single well-manicured nail tapped lightly on the broad he’d just got done scrawling upon. “Whose Namini? Girlfriend?” A tinge of jealousy was dripping from those questions although she’d just met the man. Course it was only natural that a woman didn’t want to be flirting with someone who was already taken.

She took the brief moment to sip on her water, cooled instantly by the chilled liquid. Eyes of dancing green flitted between the bartender, the patrons and those near by, soaking in each person and the experience. Alex was used to watching and observing, which was why partaking in most things was unusual to her. Her attention returned to Kyou as he started to speak, noting the napkin and pen near by.

"Sweet tooth, eh?" she chortled. It was a shame she hadn't brought Lorenzo; surely the two would have hit it off immediately. Or, perhaps not, as the Gwee wasn't usually keen on sharing attention or sweets. Alex picked up the pen with her left hand, writing her name in clear block lettering as well as her number, sliding it back across the bar to where the man had been sitting previously. "An affinity for chocolate, you certainly have good taste."

Smiling at the image of Kyou enjoying said mousse cake, she watched the doctor finish the daiquiri with interest. "I didn't realize you were a bartender too," she commented off handedly. "Last I recalled, you weren't sure what most drinks were! Seems you're a jack of all trades." Alex raised her eyebrows, impressed. "Do you bake your own cakes too?" she teased lightly, grinning a bit.

David received the frosty drink halfheartedly, leaving the money for them plus a generous but uncared for tip on the counter. His eyes flickered with a quiet curiosity as he watched his companion's own gaze linger momentarily on the bartender as well, her lips reciting some silent charm. Instinctively, he brought the attention back to himself, "It was nothing."

There was a brief pause as he continued to watch her actions interestedly, noting how cute she was went her nose crinkled irritably. David coolly ignored her indifferent comment about the paintball event but smirked at the faint tenseness in her voice at the mentioning of his sister's innocent name.

"Namini? Well, not exactly. Let me see how I could describe her," he purred. Oh how he loved playing with his food before he sunk his teeth in it... "She's a lovely girl with pure hearted intentions and an infectiously pleasant aura. Quite young and yet she is the only one I respect."

He snickered, taking in Ebony's expressions. Finally putting the woman at ease, he leaned in close to the lady, his hot breath beating down seductively on her neck, forgetting all and any dangers and consequences he could face, "But don't be jealous, Ebony. She's but my sister."

Immediately backing away, he took a long sip of sweet daiquiri in hopes of cooling his hot tongue.

“Namini? Well, not exactly. Let me see how I could describe her. She's a lovely girl with pure hearted intentions and an infectiously pleasant aura. Quite young and yet she is the only one I respect."

Pure hearted? Pleasant aura? Young? In other words, he was somehow trying to convey the idea that this Namini was far better than Ebony. The woman could not help, but scoff at the words. No one was better than her, or at least none that she would willingly say out loud.

She had quickly retreated to her drink when David overstepped the boundaries by invading her personal space. Normally, the man would have found himself on the floor by now nursing a head wound of some sort, but Ebony’s immediate thoughts and actions were negated by the man’s scent. It held a light sweet and tangy aroma aligned with something that perhaps could only be described as floral in essence, like cigar smoke dashed with lavender. The smell was almost intoxicating, so much so that Ebony had to keep herself from trying to close the nearly non-existent gap between their persons.

She was grateful when he’d moved away, giving her some room to breathe. Taking on the defensive, she wouldn’t let him see how she’d momentarily been incapacitated then. “Me? Jealous? You think too highly of yourself, Love. We’ve merely exchanged names and are enjoying a drink with one another. Hardly anything to get jealous over.” A thoughtful sip, “Where is your sister then?”

Josh stumbled back as Namini swung around his neck like an enthusiastic poll dancer at her premier show. The boy grasped at his throat and gave a few ragged coughs before he realized just what the girl had planned. His eyes grew wide as he witness something he hoped he would never see. Namini… and an endless supply of ammunition! He took a direct hit to the chest a doubled over in faux agony. “Darn you Chickie! I will find a way to defeat you!” Josh staggered clumsily behind one of the ever present sand dunes and prayed that he could find some way of thwarting this devious girl’s diabolical scheme.

(Beach Bar // Sand n' Stuff)

David watched Ebony's fairly attractive features relax and then tense back up into their usual stiff but appealing fashion as he drifted away from her. A smirk crept onto his handsome features, though he continued without showing any other signs of playfulness. If anything, David seemed more bored or cold than affectionate, "Is it I think too highly of myself or is it really you who is being placed on a pedestal? I bet you're used to guys scattering away from you, intimidated by either your personality or rare charm. Ah, what am I saying. My fault, I suppose..Unless you really were jealous? You're an honest woman, right? Tell me--" He returned to his previous position, his warm breath against her neck. "Do you think you are out of my league?"

Again, he backed away. Another tender sip. A thoughtful pause.

"I have no idea where my sister is..But would you like to accompany me in finding her? We'd make a wonderful pair, creating envy in all those around us," He laughed.

Namini giggled furiously as she continued to toss watery grenades at the other boy, though this time she remained glued to her advantageous spot beside the assisting bucket still filled with brilliantly colored weapons.

"That's if you can get close enough," she called out to Josh, thankful that there was also an umbrella besides her artillery. It was getting incredibly, almost unbearably hot...

Josh calmed his quickened breathing and tried to think of a way to get past Namini’s overzealous, multihued attack. He paced his thoughts and came to one conclusion. The boy had to fight fire with fire! Josh peeked out from over the protective pile of sand separating himself from a soggy tomb. There appeared to be a lull in the girl’s barrage of fire. The boy took full advantage of the brief reprieve and stormed out from behind his soul defense. A courageous move on his part! Josh seemed like a train at full speed with its course set dead ahead on Namini. He easily avoided some of the balloons launched at him. He jumped over a blue bullet to his right and effortlessly slid past a maroon missile to his left. The boy picked up speed as the distance between him and his target grew more miniscule with each passing moment. At the last second he leapt at Namini…

He grabbed her smoothly around the waist, his hands threading confidently around her hoodie, and pushed them both into a large, murky bin of balloons bellow. A few of the water logged gems sailed through the air and landed on the already dripping couple. Josh chuckled and gave a playful smirk at the girl bellow him, “Is this close enough?” He purred in her ear. His tone was nowhere near seductive, however. It seemed more on the lines of a rambunctious toddler who had just disobeyed their mother.

Altair arched his eyebrow at Zayne's femenine demeanor. "Cor blimey, that's downright creepy, Zayne," he said. "I'm plentifully happy with you acting like a male, so you don't have to worry."

"Uck," said as chills ran down his spine thinking of the Raevans. "I do hope they're nice...and stop scaring me, you lousy littlle..." he left his sentence unfinished, shaking his fist threateningly (yet jokingly) at his secret agent friend.

As the ball was stuffed into his mouth, Altair yelled muffled protests, waking his arms around before just pulling it out in the end. "You'll be the death of me, you bugger," he said, shivering once again. "I said to stop scaring me!" He playfully jabbed Zayne's arm. "Not afraid to go full-force on you, you know."

As he noticed the sign-up sheets, Altair strolled over them and skimmed over them. "Paintball and limbo, oh my. I've never partaken in either. Might as well join in on the festivities, eh?" he asked, grinning up at Zayne.

((Sand n' Stuff))

Mistake number one, turning her back to the enemy. It shouldn't have mattered that she needed more blob-like arrows or not. She should not have taken her gaze off of him. Mistake number two, she should have watched her teasing tactics. Namini should have known that they would come back to n** her in the behind sooner or later. But, being the careless girl that she is, all these factors and consequences slipped her mind. All that mattered were balloons, and lots of them.

Until she heard the thundering footsteps rush towards her. Instinctively, she began tossing balloons blindly at the descending Josh, until finally it was too late! He was too close! WAY TOO CLOSE!! Emitting a surprised squeal, Namini shut her eyes tightly as Josh fell upon her. Water balloons popped against her back and stray ones soaked her front. They were intensely cold, but nothing in this particular situation could cool the fierce heat emitting from Namini's blushing cheeks. Where was his hands? She couldn't exactly tell but they felt like they were caressing her sides or back...which made her undoubtedly awkward. But the awkwardness refused to stop.

Leaning against her ear, Namini could barely make out the words, let alone resist the urge to scream in embarrassment, "Is this close enough?"

She ignored the tone of his voice. She ignored the tone he was going for. All she could focus on at this moment was the fact that she was mere inches from having her face brush against his. Stammering and trying her best to break eye contact, she hiccuped nervously, "Y-Ye-Yeah...Could you..uh..c-close...um..your...hands..."

Josh struggled a bit wit the girl in his grasp eliciting a few sharp snaps and pops bellow them. Well, that had officially dismantled any rogue balloon survivors of this little ordeal. Everything around Josh seemed frigid and the boy couldn’t help but shiver in the basin of chilled water. However, one source of heat made itself very prominent between the two. Namini’s face seemed to be lit up like a Christmas tree. Her cheeks had succumb to a lovely shade of crimson and scarlet.

Josh stared dumbfound at the girl and could help but gain a feeling of awkwardness. It looked if she was about to be moved to tears or somehow tear off his head. Josh blinked speechlessly and complied to her requests, not quite sure of what she asked in the first place. He never had a knack for deciphering mortified gibberish. He stood up and shook out his auburn hair, the sopping strands clung greedily to his face. He offered a hand to Namini and gave her a charming smile, “I guess we can call it a draw Chickie?” He was never the kind of guy to put a woman in an needlessly awkward position. He hoped that he hadn't embarrassed the poor girl too much already.

((Sand n' Stuff))

Namini nodded quietly, hesitatingly taking Josh's offer of assistance in getting out of the ditch now filled with broken latex shells and cool, drenched sand. In a rushed and nervous manner, she quickly preoccupied herself with patting the over friendly bits and pieces of balloon off of her thighs and feet, the blush still burning her cheeks. It was so so hot now, Namini's hoodie seemed intent on baking her alive! But fearful eyes flickered over to her male counterpart.

Die with a secret? Or lift the burden off your shoulders?

Immature and simple as ever, Namini ripped the hoodie off of her body as quick as Josh had pounced her. But then, just as quickly as it was taken off, it was immediately regretted and fretted over, though this was also done secretly. Covering her badly scarred arms to the best of her ability, Namini still refused to openly admit her shame and worry, trying to laugh the situation off, "Gosh, my hoodie was soo hot. I wish I was a guy sometimes, like you Josh. Haha, you can just take off your shirt without any problem. Especially if my brother was around, I'd be dead meat!"

The adrenaline leftover from the awkwardness among the two teens and the newly added worries made Namini's protective hands shake violently against her fragile limbs. But again, she refused to say a word.

Beach Bar: Pie contest!

So. Much. Pie.

Melisande curled forward, resting for a bit on the bar. A few crumbs dotted her cheek, and the tip of one of her strands of bangs was dyed purple from the blueberry pie. Taking a deep breath, trying not to fall asleep, she rolled her head to the side to see how she was doing.

One. More. Pie.

With a little mew of effort, Pasha pushed herself back up and grabbed the pie with both hands, sliding it closer. Why was it...orange? She tasted a tiny bit of it, and made a face. This was the first pie she didn't particularly care for! Sighing, Pasha swirled her finger around anyway, and pushed onward. Even if she didn't win, it would feel better to try!!

[352+9=361!! Finished!]

((Pie Eating Contest))

Yuurei's head dropped backwards as she prepared for her last round of pie. Dipping her finger in the filling she was rewarded with a vanilla creme -- her favorite.

Nodding her head she thought, I can do this. After taking her first bite of the creme pie she changed her mind. No I can't! She was full . . . too full. Eating all of this pie just took its toll and she gingerly finished her last round, with not much enthusiasm, telling herself she would NEVER eat pie again.

(( Final Total: 83 + 45 + 69 + 59 + 30 + 75 = 361 eek OMG I got the same as Pasha! 4laugh Crazy coincidence. ))

Zayne laughed and ruffled Altair's head/hat. "You asked for it. I guess I will be 'macho' all the time," he replied, sticking out his tongue.

"Uck? But they're quite beautiful, you know... and for all you know, they could just be like any other human on the emotional level if not physical. " He smiled gently and wrapped an arm around the inventors shoulders, actually trying to comfort him for once.

After the brief struggle with the ball, Zayne took the it back and stuffed it in a reachable place for later use. Winking at the inventor, he smirked at the statement 'You'll be the death of me, you bugger' "As long as you follow me around. Although, I wouldn't mind you going full force on me some other time... " Zayne meant the last part, curious as to what 'full force' was, and also strangely interested in getting to know the inventor a little more.

"Y-yeah." Zayne broke out of his thoughts and walked up beside him and looked over the sheets "Theres also story-ti... HEY!" He finally noticed the scribbled out name and his name written in it's stead. There was only one person who could have done this- only Damien, quite obviously. Unless one of the new people that he had just met were trying to fool him.
But the handwriting? Definitely Damien. Grabbing the other two sheets and looking over all the names, he noticed that Damien had already signed up for the paintball and limbo. Furthermore, only one participant was allowed per party. With a sigh and a scratch to the back of his neck, he gave back the sign up sheets to Altair. "Well.. it cant be helped. Damien put his name down for the limbo and paintball... so I guess I'll be doing some 'story-telling'." He shrugged a little and smiled, "So I guess you'll be competing against him!"
