((Nadeshiko will be left out of the battle until Aeroden becomes active once again.))

All of the frogs had made it through the team's first counter-attack, so there was no way that any of them were going to give up. The infection was really taking its toll on their minds, and made them much more aggressive and reckless than usual. Two of the frogs that had attempted to get a hold of Sukotto were now facing in the direction of the newly arrived Seiko. Even though the Chuunin was up in a tree, that fact wouldn't stop the frogs from desiring to destroy the young man. Without warning, each of them quickly hopped towards the tree, latched to the bark, and finally launched them selves to the bark. They then proceeded to climb the tree by continuously hopping and clinging to the surface, eventually launching a pair of headbutts aimed straight at the Chuunin on the branch.

As for the other frogs, the remaining one that had originally went for Sukotto, but hadn't chosen to hop towards the tree instead aimed itself at Xyn. In addition, to this creature, the one that Xyn had managed to hit with a shuriken also went after the boy once again. Since Nadeshiko hadn't shown any aggression towards the slimy creatures, the frogs ignored her for the time being and instead focused their attention towards Sukotto and Akiko. Since Akiko was safely in the tree, the frogs had little choice but to aim for the Uchiha who stood protecting her. Three of them covered the ground between themselves and Sukotto, eventually hopping and aiming to headbutt the Chuunin, while the fourth merely sat back and stared menacingly at Akiko, challenging the girl to leave the tree to face the frogs on the field.

Strong and Strike

Seiko was hoping to stay out of this whole mess but it looked like these ugly pin cushions wanted some fresh meat to play with. As they hoped their way up the tree Seiko yawned and walked up even higher. When he felt he was in a good position to fight he turned towards his oncoming pray. He bent his knees slightly as he watched the figures coming. Sliding his hands underneath his cloak he gripped onto his tanto tightly. He was going to enjoy this. Not even a day in and he was getting to kill something. As the first frog came in Seiko easily leaned back and let it pass. The second one coming in a littler faster Seiko jumped and flipped over it landing back onto his branch. He was ready to return the favor and finish both of this little creations off.

Seiko turned and and knelt on one knee, before the frogs had time to come back again he would give them a surprise from the earth country. Taking out to shuriken he quickly reached his right arm around his body and let it rip releasing both shuriken in the frogs direction. When he finished he let his body slide backwards falling head first towards the ground. Flipping in mid air he landed on his feet his cloak rippling behind him. "Looks like these buggers are more of a problem then I thought." Seiko said to no one in particular just wanted to let the group know he wasnt an enemy.

This wasn't good. Xyn pulled his arm back like a fisherman retracting his line once the shuriken hit the frog, but now it was coming right at him. What was even more creepy was that somehow he had gained the attention of another frog, both of them now attacking. Maybe he had acted too hastily... no point in worrying about it now. After taking a moment to cringe, Xyn made a slight leap backwards, his right hand already gripping his kunai from behind his back. They were coming at him, so throwing was probably a waste of effort. He'd simply have to cut them down as they came.

Assessment... Xyn took a quick glance before he acted. Any help he would try to give the man would most likely get in his way. Akiko had refused Munin's help, and now the raven was flying back toward him. He had forgotten that not everyone could work with animals, although Munin seemed to be nearly as intelligent as anyone else he's fought beside. The only person left was Nadeshiko. Xyn didn't know the girl well, he hadn't even had time to learn her name, but fighting alone wasn't his style, not anymore.

"Stay back, if you wish." Xyn whispered, his back turned to Nadeshiko as he stepped in front of her. He didn't want to keep her from fighting, but if she didn't wish to fight, he was more than willing to do it for her. There was also the new arrival. Reinforcements this early? Maybe a random passerby. Xyn recognized the person from around the village, but had also neglected to find out that person's name.

"Munin, cut them down." Xyn whispered as he made a few steps forward to get some distance from Nadeshiko so the frogs wouldn't attempt to attack her if they missed, then made his move as carefullt as possible.

Wh-What? How was this thing so strong? Xyn managed to evade the first frog, but the one he had managed to injure seemed to be far more aggressive. He was surprised such a mindless animal could be so capable of seeking revenge. he was even more shocked by how hard these creatures could hit. Munin... Munin didn't stand a chance against these things. It was too late to tell the raven otherwise. Communicating with him was still difficult, and doing so under these conditions was most likely a waste of time. he would just have to get to Munin before the frog he had gone after managed to get him.

Far from a fatal wound, Xyn rubbed the slow-forming bruise that would soon be on his chest and twirled the kunai by the loop on the handle so that it was no longer in his palm.

Ram, Snake, Tiger. A whirl of chakra flew over his body and soon a clone appeared next to him. He had originally planned to use this as a diversion to prevent the girls from being attacked, but Nadeshiko was out of danger for the moment, and Akiko was beyond his reach. he'd use this to help get to Munin first, then worry about the others.

"First..." Xyn's focus was on the frog that managed to hit him, not for any petty thoughts of revenge, but since it was already injured, it would be easier to take it down first. He'd have to make his slice quick. Both clones rushing at the frog, Xyn came to an abrupt stop and switched to the other side of the clone, the clone making the exact same motion after Xyn stepped forward. It was only a small gap, but Xyn managed to perform the maneuver 3 times before both he and the clone attacked.

What were these things? The raven had never seen anything like this. Frogs? Toads? Those little creatures that seemed to grow on young humans' faces? Munin didn't like the idea of going anywhere near them, but two of the frogs seemed to have their eyes set on Xyn. That was unacceptable. It would be time for lunch soon, so if Xyn was injured, who would feed him the treats he wanted? He didn't feel like having to search the village so close to his nap time. Hearing Xyn speak his name, the raven immediately interpreted it as some form of plan for attack. Munin didn't really need plans. He could fly, they couldn't, it was that simple. He shot over Xyn's shoulder and fluttered his wings to the ground, stretching out his talons as he attempted to claw out the eyes of the frog Xyn managed to dodge.

Even though three frogs continued to plague Sukotto, he still kept a close eye on the other areas of the battle. Two of the creatures managed to launch themselves up a tree towards someone that Sukotto didn't recognize at first. After quickly searching his memory, the Uchiha remembered reading about a Chuunin that he had never met before. Sukotto knew that he was of the Jio clan, but couldn't remember what his first name was. Since he held the rank of Chuunin, Sukotto wasn't too surprised when the Jio managed to handle himself well enough against the frogs. He would thank the tan-skinned shinobi for stopping by to assist the squad a little later, but for the time being, the Uchiha had other things to worry about.

Fortunately, the frogs seemed to divert their attention away from Nadeshiko, as she hadn't done anything to agitate them any further. However, two of them turned their attention towards Xyn. Sukotto figured that a Genin with an animal companion would be capable of handling themselves in that situation, but he still kept a close eye on the boy just in case things began to go downhill. Since he had quickly scanned the rest of the battle, Sukotto turned most of his attention back to himself and Akiko, who were facing three rapidly approaching infected creatures, and a fourth that was holding back. They attempted a direct attack this time around instead of a grapple, and Sukotto dodged their three headbutts just as easily as he had dodged their grapple attempts. While he was glad that it wasn't too hard, he knew that regular frogs, even over-sized frogs, couldn't move at this speed, so the Chuunin was a bit worried about what else the team would run into.

After having evaded the three attacks by merely strafing and letting the frogs fly by. This move placed them between Sukotto and the tree that Akiko was in, so the Uchiha quickly turned himself towards the slimy beasts and began to move towards them, readying his counter-attack

While quickly narrowing the gap between himself and the frogs, Sukotto analyzed his options. He was surprised that a single strike from his previous Phoenix Form attack hadn't been enough to kill one of the frogs, but that didn't matter. It clearly injured one of them quite a bit, and since that severely injured frog happened to be one of the creatures directly in front of him, Sukotto would target it first by winding up one of his legs and kicking the creature into the air and away from the fight. He would then target the frog closest to the tree with a low, spinning snap kick that would hopefully send it bouncing across the lagoon, at least getting it away from Akiko and himself. The other frog would be left unscathed unless Akiko managed to get her wits about herself and attack it. Sukotto hoped that the vaccine that he had given her would put some confidence in her, easing the Tenmoki's mind. '"Akiko, if you can, quickly attack that frog behind me!" Sukotto wasn't too worried about the frog, but he did want to see the girl get her hands a bit dirty, so to speak.

Akiko took out a shuriken and lined up a shot. She stared intensely at her target, going out of her way to perfect her aim. She couldn't afford for this to miss. Unfortunately, at the same time, she had to look at the thing. At one point, it may have been a frog, but at this point it only loosely resembled one. The surface of its skin was eaten away and diseased, spotted with strange rings. Some strange sort of liquid was seeping out of its body, forming beads and dropping off of its body in tiny puddles. The sight made Akiko a little nauseous. She was confident in the medics' abilities to prevent infectious diseases, but at the same time, did she really want to take a risk? Surely, staying in the tree would be the safest thing to do... she tried to climb up higher, to get even further out of the frogs' reach... but the branch snapped and she lost her balance. Her head scraped the leaves but didn't hit anything else on the way down. However, as she hit the ground, she landed square on her head before rolling down and hitting her spine on the ground. She was dazed for a moment, but her instincts took over. As the frog approached, she rolled backward and kipped up before shimmying right back up the tree. She would not let it close distance--not yet.

"Ribi Ribi Ribi" All the frogs began to croak loudly as the shinobi began their counterattack. A man with a scar on his eye tossed two shuriken that made their mark. One of the frogs was hit directly in its left eye. The ocular organ popped like a water balloon, making red puss drench the already foul creature. It puffed up with air almost twice its already large size out of rage. The other was struck on the back which made it fall back. This even press the shuriken more into the little monster, but it was not enough to make the creature back away. It quickly flipped back on its belly with a low croak and a wager of the amphibian head.

Another pair had watched as a boy with a weird eye multiplied to become two. The river dwellers did not know what to make of it so could not discern between a person and a clone. All it appeared to them was that another animal had appeared at their lagoon. One frog was in trouble as a duo came towards it. The beast made a croak and turned away to make a dash for it. Sadly little frog legs could not get it so far. The pair made some dynamic movements which only confused the slimy creature into staring. At this point a slash across its face came from somewhere. The gash made a spurt of red violet pave the grass and onto the other frog. This creature was still alive though. A black tongue rolled out its mouth turning between identical teens.

Meanwhile the other frog staring at the teens felt the vibrations of a flutter. Its fetid eyes caught sight just in time of a bird swooping down. Probably to eat him. As the talons came close the toad like animal leaped back two feet and then began to inflate its body to twice its size. "Ri Ri Ri!" A loud croak came out of its mouth as it opened its mouth wide. The black tongue rolled out with thick purple slime dripping from the top of its mouth and tongue like the things mouth was soaked with a hose beforehand. Birds no longer tried to snack on this frog. It was the other way around now.

The final two frogs stared up at a girl scrambling up a tree. They did not know what to make of it and began to consider the creature some form of monkey. Perhaps it was running away. One frog remained watching curiously while another turned around to see a bird flapping. The two remained by the tree each staring at their own quarry.

Sukotto had kicked one of the frogs up. The ferocity of the attack though had so much force behind it that the creature instantly popped sending its bodily juices and fluids around the area. The things limbs went into different sections of the area; a head to the north, one leg into the lake, a rib up into the tree. This site spooked the other toad into running, but the Uchiha’s leg was too swift. Another attack sent this water dweller bouncing across the lake surface like a stone skipped by children. After seven jumps the red and purple creature sunk into the lake not to be seen again.

The little white feline had been utterly terrified out of his wits. He had been prowling around the village for a day or so after squeezing himself out of a wooden box he had snuck himself into to follow his master, when some scary big humans had come and destroyed it. along with summoning a cat that was way, way too big. So Seppen had hightailed it to the lagoon. Big mistake little cat, big mistake. It was okay there for a while; the animals were a little startled, but they didn't attack him or try to eat him or in any way cause harm to him. And then the scary big humans came trampling along the lagoon too. Seppen, in his scared, coward kitten state, scrambled up a tree, and curled up, tucking his fluffy tail over his eyes and basically trembling as they did whatever it was they were doing. Seppen was trying to block everything out, pretending like he was taking a nap and dreaming about chasing butterflies and bunnies across a field of flowers. Some very big, very violent butterflies and bunnies. But it did the trick. The snow leopard eventually did end up going to sleep. And waking up to the nightmare. Because, when he lifted his tail up, and poked his little nose out of the tree, he noticed something strange about the animals that lived there. Not just them, but the entire place was weird. Everything smelled a little off; a bit like rotten fruit to him. And then one of the animals, a wet, round, slimy thing looked at him with as much venom as it had (which was indeed a lot), and Seppen was convinced he should stay in the tree for a long time yet.

So he went back to sleep.

And then he woke up again. However, this time, it was because there was a smaller, pale human up in his tree. He sniffed a little, and found the sickening smell still in the air. He looked down from under his branch, and saw a gathering of the animals that had rowed him back to the shores of sleep there. They were gathered around a small cluster of humans, whom Seppen could tell were from the village by their smell and manner. He could even scent...his master! But before he could climb down the tree to join her, the limbs of the tree shook violently, and a branch snapped off. The human who was in it had tried to climb onto a branch that couldn't hold her weight. Seppen sat himself down as the human girl climbed back up again. He padded his way over to her, and sniffed at her.
