Felix Silverlight

There were two full pages of etched credits in the beginning of the book, which Felix simply bypassed... blowing out a small sigh and flipping through the couple of pages till he got to the first chapter. 'A General History...'
Felix's eyes narrowed as he realized that this was a comprehensive history of the Shinobi world... what kind of book was this?! Who could have left it out... it must be priceless.... He glanced nervously from his left to his right... then back down at the text, noting that Rhaim seemed to not care in the slightest.

Felix Silverlight

1. With the confirmation that everything was in order from his look at Rhaim... who seemed to be lost in his scroll copying, Felix glanced up one last time as the Jounin standing guard in the Library. The guy seemed to really not care, the same as Rhaim.. so he either had no idea what this book was, or it was perfectly fine for Felix to read it.
Felix swallowed a little, his eyes scanning down over the first few lines of the first pages. Cocked his head a little, pulling his chair up and sitting up straight while he read... he had of course, always wanted to know the actual history behind the village, and this seemed like it would tell him all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2. Felix listed his eyes down the first page... reading everything with eager eyes. The first chapter talked only of the beginnings, of the foundings of the first clans who came to this area and developed Konoha... of these clans the Senju, Hyuuga, and Uchiha were the most prominent.
At the mention of these clans, Felix's eyes wandered about quickly, looking for any hint or reference to a blood manipulator family.. or clan... but he could find none... this was a little disheartening, of course, it did not mean that his ancestors were not present, it just meant that they were not remembered in here.. or perhaps he himself was the very first of his kind?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3. The Senju were the main founders of Konoha, if any. Felix read on through this chapter on how the Senju came to the land while it was in the middle of famine and great strife with warring clans. A man named Hashirama came then as a leader and united the clans.. he dispelled the famine with the Senju mysterious powers of vitality and life through plants and trees. Working with fuinjutsu and the natural ecosystem they were able to save the ancient Konoha lands from great famine.
Felix finished this chapter after a little while and leaned back in his chair trying to digest all of the information... it was 'extremely' boring stuff, but he was sure he would get to the better parts later on.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4. In the second chapter it detailed the effects of the first great ninja war... it seemed that the other Ninja nations were growing Jealous of Konoha's increasing wealth and prosperity under the guidance of Hashirama.. the very first Hokage. And so they teamed up and attacked Konoha... at which point Hashirama slaughtered them all mercilessly pretty much, at the head of the Senju clan and great power overthrew all opposition and left his enemies staked all over the battlefield.
Felix sighed dejectedly, just thinking about how much 'training' Hashirama must have gone through to be able to do something like that gave him a headache. A massive headache.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5. Here in the next chapter, the book spoke of a man named 'Madara Uchiha' ... the founder of the Uchiha clan..? Felix guessed... the text was faded and in quite disarray at these notes.. Felix had no doubt that the book was 'very' old and he should not be reading it.. but curiosity overcame him and he was rather lost in it by this point anyway. The book told of Bijuu... or Demons... and these demons would be sacrificed into humans... and kept in their bodies to control them... the people who held the demons were called Jinchuriki...? Felix was rather interested in this... what kind of demons were they.. do demons still exist in this world? ...Whatever happened to Madara Uchiha? ..The chapter never revealed this information to him no matter how hard he searched for it.. everything concerning this information was rumor from rumor from rumor...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6. Next chapter Felix went on to read how the Sandaime Hokage would be known as the greatest of Konoha's Hokages. He would bring about what was known then as the 'Golden Age of Konoha'.
Nicknamed 'the Professor', the Sandaime Hokage was a master of many fields and practiced more techniques than any other contemporary shinobi. Felix could only imagine how hard it must have been to master so many techniques... more than anyone else?
However, when the Second Great Shinobi War broke out after a recon team's failure... Felix wondered what the recon team's mission had been... and how exactly they had failed... was the Hokage in fact, a fake? ...Terified and keeping dibs on his enamies even in this stage...? Felix suspected a war would arouse from this... and reading on his thoughts were rewarded. 'This' time a war brewed between Konoha and 'two' shinobi villages, Iwa and their ally Amegakure. All of the prosperity during the early years of Sandaime's reign near instantly vanished.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
7.Konoha won the war in the end, but only just barely and at great cost in the effort against Amegakure. A whole generation had nearly been decimated. To make matters worse, when the Sandaime announced his successor, one of the three Sannins had turned traitor and fled, founding a shinobi village of his own with a desire for none other than Konoha's very destruction. This was vague in of itself and Felix could only assume that the Sannin had been intent upon the succession himself.. and felt betrayed, and so betrayed his own village.
Felix read on that the Sandaime Hokage retired and left the position to his youthful successor and hero of the Second Great Shinobi War, Namikaze Minato, the Yondaime Hokage. A hero of the war... Felix speculated that such an honorary position must have been successful.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
8.The next few chapters were written in another language entirely... or so it would seem... Felix could make heads nor tails of them in how they were described and the events of them... One name stood out.. Or a couple, but the events near the end seemed to loose his interest and he simply left those along, skipping those chapters. But the names mentioned that stood out were the Rinnegan... Naruto, a Hokage of great glory in that time... Sasuke, a great Uchiha rival of his.. and the return of Madara Uchiha. Felix wondered how it was even possible that Madara Uchiha could still be alive after all of that history... a thousand years must have passed at least! Finally concluding that they must have mis written this part.. or perhaps, there was simply an Uchiha who had taken that name for himself, hoping to aspire to that glory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
9. Here in the next few chapters Felix read of the 'Dawns'... Detailed histories of the most recent events. Felix wondered once more if this information should perhaps be classified and sealed..? Well, perhaps it was.. perhaps this book itself was a comprehensive dawn and.. one of the Sennin of the village had simply forgotten it here..? Felix smiled a little at the idea that he may in fact be reading forbidden knowledge. It made him want to know it all the more.
The 'first dawn' seemed to be filled with only peace. Lead by the powerful and strong Konoha, all countries seemed to prosper in an alliance of mutual friendship. Felix skipped over a vast majority of this information.. deeming it boring.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
10. Reading down, something caught his eye... Not only were the 'dawn's' certain written articles sealed and kept secret... accounts of the villages history... but the 'Fifth Dawn' in particular also stood for the name of an organisation... The Fifth Dawn. Felix might have missed the part about him, but he had noticed the tendency of the text to repeat itself, and wondered at it during one description... the conclusion dawning upon him.
Apparently the Fifth Dawn was originally founded from the projects of terrible experimentation upon Shinobi... and these projects escaped and were very powerful from the results.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
11. More recently though... Felix skipped a few chapters to the end of the book and read about the masters... There was a master for each element... and the Fifth Dawn after all of these hundreds of years were still in existance... and they released the masters upon the world.. not realizing their mistake until later on.
Felix read over how the masters went on to take over the world and then rule over it in tyranny for a few years until the rebellion became strong and began tearing at their control. The masters ended up destroying themselves for a majority.. Yet the fire master himself seemed to have been ended by a particular person.. in the Fifth Dawn no less. Their new leader.
Felix turned to one of the last pages of the book and read the very limited details of what had transpired.. and the account of this new leader of the Fifth Dawn.

Felix stood up slowly... scooting his chair back after a moment and moving away from the table. His eyes glancing between Rhaim and a bookshelf not far away. Perhaps this was just a test.. and Rhaim was chiding him to see if he could possibly pass the training on his own?
Felix knew the basics and fundamentals of Chakra manipulation, to say the least... it could not be too hard to master manipulating it to your feet to attach yourself somewhere could it? He walked slowly over to one of the tall shelves, at least ten foot high, easily three times his size at his age. Felix glanced up at it for a moment.

Felix was starting to form a general idea of how to mold and manipulate chakra through your feet. He placed a hand out onto the oaken sturdy shelf for a moment before closing his eyes. He imagined his chakra manipulated and morphed through his body... He stirred it softly, shifting it slowly to his foot area... just at the very bottom's of his sandal's... Felix lifted a foot, slowly planting it on the side of the shelf. He took a step. Woah. He had done it... completely by himself. Felix stood completely horizontal... and he slowly opened his eyes, looking up at the ceiling.
This was freaky weird. Felix was standing sideways on the bookshelf, as if he were standing on solid ground.

Felix continued with his exploratory exercise. Crossing his arms across his chest, just because it seemed to provide a mental anchor for himself, he took a few more steps advancing slowly up the vertical side of the oaken book shelf. Felix was actually concerned that such an action may over balance the shelf itself and tip it over... but standing on the side like this, the chance was highly unlikely... not only because the shelf was full of documents, scrolls and books.. but because Felix was extremely light, for his age at only eleven years.
Felix knead the chakra under his feet, forming it like he would a sewing needle almost, using it to wrap and morph through the texture of the solid wood and anchor himself there.

Felix continued walking, his arms crossed as the blood seemed to drain through his body in a weird way. He was completely horizontal to the floor, and he wondered if this was even the way the training was 'supposed' to be done. Its must be, because it was working, right? Felix smiled at the small thrill the technique itself provided... of course he could drop unexpectedly at any moment and probably bust his head open upon the floor... that would hurt.
After a moment of walking, about six steps, Felix had finally reached the top of the bookshelf. It was rather tall, and looking over his shoulder, back down at the floor, things did appear strange indeed. He had to wonder if this was how a bug felt... or a lizard, when it was climbing.

Felix glanced around while he was up there on the book shelf... this was very strange.. almost 'trippy' even, if his mind had not been so well grounded in concentration on the chakra, he might have simply lost his balance and fallen like that. On sudden inspiration though, an idea struck him... if he could walk on vertical surfaces... then why not the 'ceiling'? Felix smiled and closed his eyes, ready to plummet to his doom. This would hurt very much if he fell. But the concept was the same right?
Felix set his foot tentatively on the ceiling... he quickly placed the other one beside it and found his balance slipping. Oh no!
Felix quickly concentrated and rushed a surge of attaching chakra to his feet, and when he opened his eyes he was amazed.

Felix stood completely upside down on the ceiling, and walked along it until he was looking down at Rhaim. He wondered if anybody even noticed what he was doing in the library like this... though he could imagine how it could be effective for collecting books upon higher shelving!
Felix stood above Rhaim, upside down, with his arms crossed over his chest, hair falling down... which made it seem like it was sticking straight up over his head, revealing his Konoha forehead protector as he watched the other guy copy scrolls.

1. Felix took a few steps forward, making sure to clear the table below himself and Rhaim both, so as not to attract attention when he fell onto them, and probably broke the table and ruined the scrolls and books. It was odd to think of the table and Rhaim as 'below' him now that he saw it... Perspective, that's 'all' it is. Felix smirked at the thought... to him, Rhaim and the table may as well have been 'above' himself, because he was upside down... or were 'they' the upside down ones.
Felix uncrossed his arms, thinking about how he had spotted a medical training book in here, and deciding to wrap up a little bit more research while he waited on Rhaim.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2. Felix lifted his arms above his head, reaching out to the floor and bracing himself before suddenly releasing his hold of Chakra on the ceiling above. His feet disconnected with and abrupt, but expected jolt... and as he had been prepared, Felix sprung his hands backwards, flinging them over his head and performing a nice acrobatic maneuver before his feet thumped smoothly to the floor below.. and he landed in a crouch.
Felix glanced up and around quickly, quite surprised that he had not drawn any attention.. but perhaps in was the carpet in here... it muffled noises in a nice enough manner.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3. Felix moved over to the book he had spotted. He pulled it off of the shelf smoothly and plopped the tome into his arms, looking over the cover. It was a rather large medical book, and Felix patted it, displacing the dust that had covered it. Apparently no one had read from this particular book in some time...
Felix walked back over to the table where Rhaim was still copying scrolls and he plopped the medical book down, lifting the cover and reading over the first page... mostly stuff that he did not care about, just entitlements and such. Cliff notes and an index.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4. Felix licked his finger and touched the top right corner of the page, lifting it softly and turning it... leaned over the desk and being all quiet and orderly like. He was sure that any parent watching would be rather proud of him at such an early age... sitting here and just studying astutely. Felix smiled to himself at these thoughts and returned himself to the book, peaking the page and flipping it over to glance at the next one in line.
Hmm... so medical Jutsu... this seemed like interesting enough stuff, it dealt with poisons and oxidants... liquidating bodies and taking care of them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5. Felix narrowed his eyes reading some of the particulars of certain techniques. The most common and basic of techniques was the simple chakra heal. This was was the least difficult to perform of all of the advanced techniques... because it seemed like most of the techniques were rather difficult to begin with, if he was honest with himself. Though, reflecting on his, he was quite certain that he would have an honest edge on the regular shinobi because of his blood manipulation and feel control technique. Felix was familiar with some of the most intricate blood pathways and internal systems because of this.... he had seen it after all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6. Felix began to read about the body... and how many of the small pathways were alive with chakra, and could respond to it. Apparently, placing your hand just over the chest was the most idea place to draw chakra from another person because of the close proximity to the heart... and having the heart there made the pumping of blood and effecting that system all the more effective. Chakra came to life at the heart so to speak, and it could easily be withdrawn from the body... bringing poison out of a dying person.. or even entering it 'into' them!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
7. Felix continued to read about medical Jutsu, about how regeneration of dying and lost cells were possible... of how the blood could be clotted in certain ways... of how the body worked. To regenerate cells, a fine and extremely intricate knowledge and procedure was required. A person could not just regenerate so easily... especially when the energy was from an out source, first of all because the body naturally rejected chakra from another person and secondly because you were creating an enhanced fusion reaction of living organisms... 'cells' in the person's body that you are coaxing into speeding up their natural recuperation process.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
8. Felix turned the page... eyes scanning over the paper quickly and silently as he read on about how certain things worked and processed... this all made sense according to what he knew of his body... how one nervous system could trigger a spontaneous reaction in another nervous system.. that was what made medical Jutsu just so dangerous now. You had to be 'sure' of what you were doing... you could not just guess in this work.. otherwise.. you would be causing more harm than good... for instance.. the 'outside' of your body is not the only place you can bleed...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
9. Felix glanced up and scanned about the room for a second, noting that Rhaim was still studying his scroll and copying text onto the page before himself.. though.. Felix could not be 'sure' that was what Rhaim was exactly doing... He was pretty convinced that it should not take this long.. but hey! At least he had accomplished the vertical surface walking that Rhaim had spoken about... Felix found that to be rather cool, if he did say so himself.
Felix sighed faintly and glanced back down to the open book before himself, continuing his study of medical jutsu.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
10. Felix wondered what in the world could be up with Travis in all of this! ...Travis was graduated from the academy by now for sure right? Felix had the subtle feeling that Travis would have passed him, or seen him since then if that were the case though, and Felix wondered if maybe he should head over there and check on the man. He determined to do this once Rhaim glanced up and acknowledged him.
Just as soon as Felix was actually sure that Rhaim was not completely lost in the scroll... maybe the thing had cast a genjutsu on the poor guy...? Felix leaned back in his chair all of a sudden and bounced his feet back and fourth, watching Rhaim silently and curiously.
Felix was bored to death. He was 'quite' certain that eleven year old's were not supposed to be reading about medical Jutsu... and he ended up curling with his little book, crossing his arms over the cover and collapsing with a sigh over the pages.
...While he was lying there, listening to the constant etch of Rhaim's copying pen work, Felix heard a sound... and cracked his eyes open. Sitting up straight suddenly he watched as a beautiful woman walked into the Library... now, he could only identify her as majestic, because he had never, 'ever', seen anyone of her stature or bearing before. She was dressed completely in black.. and he may not have even realized that she was a girl, except for the subtle way that she moved, and her figure.. after some contemplation.
1. Felix was watching her when she suddenly disappeared, leaving a stack of books which collapsed to the floor with a loud thump, toppling over. He got up hurriedly, rushing over to where she had been standing and collecting the books, looking through them one at a time. He glanced over the seal stamped onto the cover of each book.
..Wait a second.. these are from the Chunin section.. Felix's eyes widened as he realized that she was using on of the simple techniques that even 'he' knew. Substitution Jutsu. Why wasn't she just passing through the guards like everyone else?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2. Felix stacked the books properly and left them in the aisle, hoping somebody else would find them and not incriminate himself... and he hurried back over to his table, sitting down and glancing up at Rhiam, who seemed to have not noticed anything in the slightest out of the ordinary. After a moment Felix glanced back over to his left and noticed that she was sitting there... the girl at the desk beside him now. The way she was dressed to him was just 'kind' of scary, and so he swallowed a little bit, and then turned back away, pretending ignorance. Little kids are good at pretending ignorance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3. One thing he 'had' caught though... was a flash of her eyes. Unmistakably, her eyes had reminded him of his own... silver colored in the reflection, they had almost shone like the eyes of a Wolf. That was the color of his own eyes... Silver.. an unnatural Silver too, a sharp color, contrasting his jet raven black hair.
Felix could not help but wonder though... why someone like her would need to read a book from the library? He turned his attention back to his own book... slipping his eyes over the constant words dutifully, and not glancing up at her again. He was actually trying to 'avoid' attention now, and if Felix knew one thing about avoiding adults, the trick was to pretend like you were doing something that you did not want to do. Such as studying medical Jutsu...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4. Felix realized that his book was closed... and clumsily opened it back up. Gee, that was not suspicious at all. He touched the paper, gathering the back pages into a bundle in his hand and scrolled through the first couple of chapters which he had already finished. Medical Jutsu, Medical Jutsu... Ah, cellular regeneration? Yes, that is quite where he had been so far.... Felix, at the thought of cellular regeneration, though of Travis for some reason... that was the type of technique that Travis would appreciate... where the hell was that kid anyways? Felix could only imagine the pain and torture that Travis was suffering from in the Academy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5. Sighing faintly, Felix brought his mind back to the now and present. He forced himself to continue reading from his book.
Alright, so cellular regeneration is a risky process brought about by only the most skilled of Medic Shinobi in only the most dire of circumstances. The technique was risky because it was an out source of chakra trying to influence the workings of your own body to speed up natural processes... though with manipulation it could even heal something that the body would not normally be able to heal. That was where a lot of the skill came into play, but as the outside influence of chakra was automatically at odds with the inner workings of a person's body... in which it seemed that a body will fight off the outside influence of chakra just like it would Germs, or any other outsource influence.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6. But because a technique like that was so volatile and difficult, often times it was only used in the most dire of circumstances... for who could predict what would happen unless it was a skilled surgeon? The body was difficult to predict and even tougher to understand. Felix was getting a headache just thinking about it.. but as far as his 'own' cellular structure went it was vastly different from what a majority of this book was speaking. Perhaps he was 'truly' different? Felix glanced down at his hand, scrutinizing it for a moment as he reflected on the events of that morning. How he had developed the blood manipulation technique and used it... He had been able to understand his body further than ever before... and use it to great benefit for this.

1. As Felix was reading he glanced over to his left, just moving his eyes to watch the person hiding behind the large black cloak... Her entire body was hidden along with most of her face... Felix wondered who this was exactly, because he had actually 'never' seen anyone like this before in the village... the ANBU did not even look this mysterious for crying out loud and some of them were pretty damn cool. By now he was flat out staring at her, and he had to cough into his sleeve and turn his head in order to recover properly.
Right, so medical Jutsu... Um, Poison draining... poison handling...
Felix glanced up, looking at Rhaim helplessly. He had snapped finally.

Felix leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes he relaxed his mind. Things were not as bad as they could be he was certain. This was a library... a source of almost unlimited information, he could discover or read about anything here that he wanted, or could ever wish for. Felix looked very mature and quite drained sitting there like that. Just a little kid with his dark black hair draped over his forehead protector... his dark shirt and pants and his utility belt, met at the bottom by his sandals, which were strapped on and tied properly, a Kunai wrapped at his ankle, and the other two hidden in his belt.
Felix wondered what would happen... in his future. There was just so much. He wondered who would be a part of his life, and how he would get there.

Felix sighed faintly, his head relaxed back against the backrest of the chair. He was still calming his thoughts and ideas, but things had settled to a certain point by this time. How was he going to become a ninja just working in a platoon where nothing happened? ...He didn't really have any friends besides Travis, and Travis had yet to get out of the Academy, so for all of this time Felix had literally been alone, and on his own. With no real motivation to train besides to serve a Hokage that was long absent and never heard from? Felix had nothing against the leaf village... but the war really seemed like a lost cause... especially if the progress of Mop and Chips was anything to go by for the future of the village.
After a moment Felix's eyes slipped open to look up at the ceiling... but there was definitely something blocking his ceiling. He started suddenly in his chair, hands, which were down by his sides, clenching hard at the seat to either side of himself as he quickly flushed his sudden surprise... It was not that he was worried anyone in the village would kill him, moreso that it was 'her'.. the person he had been watching that now loomed over him. This was all contemplated in a split second of silence though as he tightened his jaw for a moment, just looking up into her eyes. Actually, now that he had a closer look at her eyes, he noticed that they were not indeed silver colored, like his own... but were more of a teal color... if a certain angle or lighting hit them, then perhaps they would refract.. like the eyes of a wild animal... a racoon perhaps.. cat, or a wolf.
A flash of disappointment crossed over his features quickly and was gone at this realization. She could not be related to him in that manner then. He was used to disappointment, but she did have a particular quality about her. This woman actually reminded him much about Travis. Travis had golden colored eyes, but his eyes would refract just like hers... also Travis was prone to bouts of the random 'looming' over Felix, and staring at him.. or other people. This woman also had light colored lashes though, and... if he was not mistaken, snow colored eyebrows.

Of course, Felix felt it was a little tense as this all transpired, with him just not saying anything while he scanned her eyes. But perhaps he had been hopeful that she was related to him somehow? He had never known his parents... maybe.. just maybe..? But no... like most aspects of his life, this had turned out to be just another person.
Felix had to admit though.. this person was 'very' interesting.
"...What are you searching for?" Felix meant it as an innocent enough question, wondering what she had been researching in the library; but the way it came out could imply so many things. He thought it a fitting question, since he was still looking up and backwards into her eyes, which were quite fairly the only part of her that he could see.
Upon a second realization that he had never seen such a person in the village before, Felix stood from his place, breaking eye contact with her while he turned to face her. "..My name is Felix."

My instincts are cold blooded hate, to you I'm the bearer of fate.
