Suoh felt something inside himself give as start as he stepped into Kirigakure. It was one of the few things he could remember. He remembered his name was Suoh Mizu, he remembered Kirigakure, and the name Zabuza. That was all he was left with one morning as he woke up covered in blood from what he assumed was a battle. The trees around him were cracked and smeared with blood. Dried mud caked the forest and he knew thaat damage was probably his own doing. He couldn't recall who he was fighting but for the moment it didn't matter. He needed to continue his training with master Zabuza.

Suoh saw the man duck into a hut and Suoh jogged to the doorway and looked in. A Sheet was draped across the door so he couldn't see inside. He called out, "Master Zabuza. Are you there?"

After no one responded he stepped into the darkness and felt hands fall on him.

"Don't you know not to scream the name of a master in a quiet town like this." a voice whispered in his ear.

Suoh's eyes hadn't totally adjusted to the darkness but he felt a blade across his stomach, ready at a twitch to spill his insides. Suoh felt his hands searching for the needles he kept in many pockets all over her person. He felt Zabuza's hand grab his searching hand and slide into his pocket pulling out some of the needles.

"If we are going to continue your training we will start hand to hand. Meet me outside the town in ten minutes."

Suoh felt the blade graze his stomach but pull away leaving a slight scratch. Zabuza had slide back out the doorway and disappeared into the afternoon shadows. Suoh felt inside his pockets and his needles were gone. He knew deep down inside him Zabuza held a piece of the past Suoh couldn't remember. That is why Zabuza said "continue" training. Suoh knew the attack he had to learn first was Water Dragon Missile but that choice was really left up to the teacher.

Suoh was running through the foliage surrounding the Mist metropolis. Zabuza had told him outside in ten minutes and it had been fifteen and Suoh somehow knew it was he who was late and not Master Zabuza. Running through the forest he suddenly noticed how quiet everything was. He couldn't hear the forest over his heart beat but even when he stopped running and that dropped back to normal he couldn't hear the bird or the bugs that normally accompanied that twilight of the evening.

Suoh heard a crack behind himself and he spun to prevent any sneak attack that might be coming. As he spun he felt something land hard in his back. He felt the muscles in his back twitch painfully as he spiralled through the air. He winced away the pain and twisted his legs forward and clung skillfully to a tree. He had just gained sight of his master as he projectiled himself back at Master Zabuza with his elbow primed for breaking his collar bone and hopefully stopping his sword arm.

Mster Zabuza drew his sword with ease and Suoh smashed hard into the blade and clattered into the dried leaves of the forest floor. The blade sunk into the soil at his shoulder as he spun for another attack.

"Suoh", Zabuza began, "We must get you back into fighting condition. Find the lake and I will teach you Water Dragon Missile."

Suoh swallowed hard as he realized Zabuza would be one of his greatest allies at recovering his lost memories. Suoh didn't know why he lost his memories but knew that was the only logical conclusion and it honestly didn't frighten him.

Suoh found himself running again. His body was adapting easily to all the physical exertion. He breathed hard but still wans't tired, it was like riding a bike, the knowledge he had of his own limits would be something he would never forget. Souh found several animals and stalked them until they lead him to a small lake.

Suoh walked into the clearing around the lake and saw the reed poles that had been inserted into the surface of the water every ten feet or so. Zabuza appeared at his side and Suoh knew not to jump at being surprised from having some one appear so erradically.

"Suoh. You trained under me before and like that time you will have to defeat me in a hand to hand battle in order for me to teach you my Water Dragon Missile technique. As you relearn these techniques you will regain small bits of what you have forgotten until you can solve what took your memory. First to touch the water loses, anything goes."

Zabuza gave a leap onto the first reed and quickly dashed across the poles. Suoh took a jump but only landed half way up the pole and take to swing himself up. He knew the chakra in his feet were vitally important in this training. He would have to focus his chakra in his feet to prevent from falling and he had to keep his hands open in order to attack.

Zabuza came in hard and fast. Suoh leapt to the side noting that his master was being a bit reckless. Zabuza smashed the stick into a spray of splinters that stuck into the shore of the lake. Suoh leapt at Zabuza with his foot extended and saw Zabuza turn with an outstretched arm ready to bat him aside. Suoh felt it graze just below his knee cap but his hands had already locked onto Zabuza's. He used the extra leverage to spin himself upwards landing both his feet hard into his Master's chin. Suoh felt triumphant as he spun backwards through the air toward one of the reeds. Zabuza landed quickly as was running back toward him before he could fall however.

Zabuza landed a gut punch that sent Suoh back into the air. He felt blood forming over his lips as he landed . He spun around a reed and pulled himself back up.

Suoh realized he had to act fast because he was quickly losing. He took a risk at bending the rules and performed his water clone technique. The lake was ample water to create a perfect clone as he ran in the opposite direction from his double. He realized Zabuza could probably tell which was which but he had a different trick up his sleeve. The water clone ran at Zabuza's left half and Suoh came in from the right. Zabuza gave a quick double take to check which was which and lunged at the proper Suoh.

Suoh purposely let his focus fall and the water clone splashed into the reed bending it forward. Suoh could tell that Zabuza was startled about how far he had leaned for the countterattack. Suoh jumped above Zabuza who was leaning even farther to catch himself on the next reed. Suoh released his Aqua Lung skill and knocked the reed Master Zabuza was reaching for out of his reach so Zabuza was left with nothing to grab onto and had to fall into the water.

Zabuza surfaced quickly in the water and glared at Suoh, "I thought I made it clear that this would be a hand to hand battle?"

"I never used any technique to touch you" Suoh jested

Zabuza's temperment changed quickly, " Sometimes it requires the rules to be bent a little to achieve your purpose. A Mist Ninja knows to finish the mission and how to keep quiet about the method in which it was accomplsihed. Tomorrow you will be taught the Water Dragon MIssile technique."

((I am done for now. I will be able to do a lot more on Wednesday if not a little tomorrow))

Suoh sat at the edge of the lake eating some bread out of a hankerchief. The morning mist was just begining to lift. More like moving back into the village it came from rather than lift. Suoh could hear footsteps coming and knew it had to be Zabuza. Suoh stood and brushed several crumbs away while tucking the hankerchief with teh bread back into an inside pocket. Zabuza came out from the bushes just as Suoh turned around. Suoh could tell he meant business today. He had a certain disdainful arch to his brow.

"To start your training you must first know the intricacies of the skill you seek. I will perform Water Dragon Missile and it is up to you to dodge it. Feel free to run into the forest or what not. If you can dodge it for two minutes then you will be able to use this skill." Zabuza called

Suoh almost felt something being sucked out of the air as Zabuza molded his chakra. Realizing this wasn't a time to be standing so close he charged around the outside of the lake. Zabuza's hands flew through the symbols and a huge dragon head erupted from the surface of the water. Suoh then realized the forest would be his best friend in this battle, he would need to find shelter because his task was not to defeat the dragon but rather to avoid it. The water kept erupting out of the center of the lake like it had been turned into a volcano. The dragon stood well over twenty feet into the air and had a long clear twisting body.

Suoh charged into the forest breaking small branches and trampling flowers. He focused on controlling his breathing, this may well be a two minute sprint for his life. The sound of the dragon smashing through the trees quickly roared through the maze of bark and leaves until the point where Suoh could barely hear his own heart beat. It really sounded like a damn had broken and the flood waters were tearing up the forest. Suoh took a quickl right and out of the corner of his eye he saw the snarled, dripping trees the attack had left in its wake. He was so focused on his breathing as he ran he had lost sight of Zabuza in the foliage so he wouldn't really know when then two minutes are up. For all he knew it could already be up, adrenaline has a wierd way of messing with the perceptions of time.

Suoh knew the dragon had dissipated some of its force as it smashed through the trees leaving behind a muddy trail of wreckage. The dragon would be much sleeker now in order to manuever through the trees. Suoh assumed none of its length was lost however and the creature could easily create a trap by forcing Suoh toward a loop. Just as he had though this he noticed a wall of water in him like a constrictor closing on its pray. He bounced upwards between several trees leaving the marks of his soles as us jumped up above the canopy into the bright sun. He could hear the creaking of old wood as teh trees in the loop of the tail were twisted together. He could see the lake back to the south a little but the water dragon missile technique was blocking his way. Suoh began to fall back toward the soil of the forest and performed the sign for his water clone skill just in time for both of them to land gracefully. The clone smiled as it adjusted its visor and the two ran back toward the south east together. The dragon came at them. Suoh and hoped this would happen so he stopped and fell into a battle position. The dragon surged at him but Suoh used his aqua lung skill to create a small flow of water as he ducked behind a tree.

The dragon believing it had been suped changed directions promptly and charged after the real water clone leaving a trail of broken branches behind. Suoh popped back out of the tree smiling. He knew it was a powerful attack but the thing wasn't too smart, he had just fooled it into believe he was the water clone by using his aqua lung skill.

Suoh jogged back out of the forest and could see Zabuza holding the final symbol of the Water Dragon Missile technique, this was probably how the thing could last for a whole two minutes instead of wasting away before finding its traget. Zabuza gave a small smirk as Suoh came out of the forest.

"Has it been two minutes?" Suoh asked

"Close" responded Zabuza as the dragon came flying out from above the forest. Suoh could see the shadow of the body of water above him and rolled out of the way as the thing smashes into the grass and became just water one more time. He rolled through the grass avoiding the droplets until he looked up at Zabuza who had a hand extended downward to help him back to his feet. Suoh accepted the offer and his master lifted him up.

"Follow me" Zabuza whispered. Zabuza performed the symbols slowly and forcefully. Suoh could almost feel the hugs amount of chakra in those hands. When he reached the final symbol he felt the ball of chakra that had enveloped Zabuza's hand dissipate and then the dragon erupted from the water and Soared high over the forest. After climbing at least a hundred feet into the air he allowed the thing to dissipate and fall back to the lake where it created bubbles and froth.

Suoh closed his eyes and felt the chakra signs carving themselves into his brain as he allowed everything to flow into his hands. He envisioned the symbols swirling around his outer body all toward the force he was creating in his hands. He opened his eyes as he completed the technique and the lake ripped once before an overly thick dragon came out of the surface. The creature was probably four times as thick as the one Zabuza summoned. Although Suoh had forced his chakra out of his body to mold the creature when it rose from the waters he felt a giant weight fall on his shoulders. The thing was far to rotund for him to support. He blinked he chakra back and the thing quickly sloshed down with its life support cut.

Suoh didn't even look at his master but rather attempted again knowing his Master would be gracious enough to wait and see if his pupil could accomplsih the feat. Suoh pushed his chakra into his hands and felt things in his body closing off to prevent it from flowing back. Once concentrated in his hand she pushed it even farther so it was in the specific fingers involved in the symbols. He could hear Zabuza's breathing even with his own. He could feel the distance of the lake in his feet and the weight of the water at his ankles. He felt the water swirling up and around him like some sort of shroud. He opened his eyes expecting to see what he felt with his eyes closed but instead he saw a perfect dragon erupt from the water. The thing shot up thirty feet into the air and gave a lazy loop before shooting back at Suoh. Suoh felt Zabuza tensed and he realized now probably wasn't the best time to be playing jokes on his teacher. He stopped the creature and it gave several small twirls before running back into the lake which it came from.

"You did good. One more test tomorrow will pit your dragon against mine and then you may be a master of this technique" Zabuza said as he walked back into the darkness of the forest. Suoh felt proud of his accomplsihments but he couldn't ignore the nagging feeling at the back of his mind. It was like with his new powers rippling in his mind he could see a face at the bottom of a pool of water.

((Done for now))

Suoh glared out at his master. They stood close to fifteen feet apart but any minute a battle would ignite. Suoh had to hit Zabuza full force with a Water Dragon Missile in order to win. Zabuza had a face twitch and Suoh took at is a start toward him so Suoh leapt back and performed his aqua lung. Zabuza moved to the left as a spray of water came from Suoh's mouth and quickly raised the level of the lake several inches. When the spray stopped Suoh whipped his lips on his forearm and started at his teacher.

He brought his arms back and then launched them forward with open palms aiming for his throat and chest. Zabuza skillfully dodged or blocked each one. After an instant of attacks he caught on of Suoh's open palms and twisted the hand. Suoh felt one of his fingers pop out of place but Zabuzaunderestimated his threshold for pain. What should have immobilized a genin with his low level of skill only triggered something in his mind to grab for one of the long forgotten needles in his pocket and ram it through Zabuza's wrist. The hand automatically went limp. Suoh leapt back several inches glad to have hit the proper nerve. If his needle landed only fractions of a centimeter to the left it would have caused the hand to clench instead of release, with such force to break every bone in Suoh's arm.

While Zabuza pulled it out Suoh took it as his chance to put enough ground between them to perform the Water Dragon Missile technique. Suoh flew through the hand symbols but before the Dragon had left the water Zabuza had flown forward and gut punched Suoh winding him. Zabuza performed a water clone ability and ran out over the water. Suoh looked at the double vision of his master and knew he would be at a disadvantage, in his current state, if he tried fighting even the clone out on the water. Suoh sprayed needles across the lake and saw Zabuza dodge everyone but Suoh could have sworn he saw a needle go through the calf of the Zabuza on the right. He performed his Water Dragon Missile technique and launched it at the right Zabuza hoping to psych his master out.

The dragon formed quickly but was a bit small. That only meant it could travel faster. Suoh wasn't attempting to completely smash his master with the technique but rather only hit him with it so size was a big factor depending on how many times Suoh would need to call the dragon. The thing opened its mouth in a deaf roar and inches before it hit the water clone which was hoping backwards across the water it shot faster to the left letting some of the water fall back to the surface of the lake so it could travel more easily. It surged toward the real Zabuza who had a surprised look on his face. His sword was drawn in a flash of silver and the dragon his been slashed intwo without a single water droplet hitting him.

Zabuza performed the Hidden in Mist technique and the field quickly glazed over with a mist that rose from the lake and obscured the vision. Suoh looked around and realized he was short on tricks. In a head to head he stood a chance but Zabuza out massed him in sheer amount of chakra and skills. Suoh thought he saw something move in a bit in the mist. He removed his blue visor and tucked it carefully inside his vest. He could feel the mist condensing on the rubber suit of his exposed arms. He had raised his hands up in front of him now ready for the hand to hand fight to start. Something creaked to his left so Suoh turned and saw a man standing inches from him.

The man didn't wear a ninja band but was dressed in black and forest green. All his clothes fit very tight and the man obviously wanted Suoh to see what he looked like. His eyes were a deep brown and his hair was a lighter shade of blue than Suoh's. His face was open in an evil grin and his eyes were wide. Suoh saw something sticking out of the tangle of hair. It was like a hair clip of some sort with a waterfall pouring into a circle.

Suoh performed the water dragon missile technique felling threatened and the man quickly vanished in the mist. Suoh lost his focus and the water fell out of the sky and toward the spot where the man was, no longer a dragon but just a formless spurt of water. Just then Zabuza leapt from the mist and Suoh shielded his face but he heard the splash of water and looked to see Zabuza hovering only an inch from him soaked in the water that was meant for the other man.

"It looks like you are now a master of the Water Dragon Missile technique. I suggest you go acquaint yourself with your summon for your next technique." Zabuza explained backing off and allowing the mist to drift away quickly.

Suoh realized he was standing there staring into the lake.
