((Here it is! Have fun. wink ))
((Some of it is on RiverClan territory just to clear things up.))
Sandpaw sighed. His mentor hadn't come out of his den for ages. He might as well just get up and go hunt himself.
Sandpaw dragged himself up and out of the camp. The freezing river rushed by him, and he jumped in to swim across to the other side. The current was extra strong today it seemed to him, but being a RiverClan cat he was able to swim across. Sandpaw didn't feel like fishing today and had an unusual talent for hunting even though it was not in RiverClan's blood. Finally, he pulled himself out of the water at the other edge and shook the cold water out of his fur. He started to walk around to a small spot were the hunting was extra good for voles. It was near the WindClan border, but he wouldn't be crossing it, so he would be okay. Slowly approaching the area, he stopped dead and went into a crouch. A new scent reached his nose: dog.
***
Sandpaw whipped himself around to see three large dogs approaching him, snarling. He backed slowly away. This was bad. One dog this size was bad enough, but three?
The three dogs had him pinned against the WindClan border with almost no chance of getting past them to the camp. He was debating with himself whether to cross the border and try to get help, or finding a way to get past the dogs. But he waited a second too long. The dogs attacked.
***
Sandpaw managed to dodge the first attack by one of the dogs, but a blow from the paw of another sent him sprawling. He got back up and started to bolt in a direction he didn't have time to register. All he could do was run. Soon the slope started to rise up. He was heading towards the WindClan moor. The dogs were catching up and Sandpaw started to feel tired. He howled for help, not knowing if anyone heard him. He felt a n** on his tail and he tripped on a stone that he had not seen. He flipped over on the ground and the dogs closed in. Acting out of instinct, he jumped on the back of one and his claws deep inside its skull, making it howl in pain. It shook its head powerfully, knocking him off into another dog. The dog bit hard down into his back leg while another put a deep scratch in his side. Blood spurted from both wounds. He tried to yell out, but his voice was not loud. Another blow was thrown at him, but he rolled over trying to avoid it, only to meet another rake down his side. The wind knocked out of him, one of the dogs picked him up in its jaws and threw him hard against the ground a few feet away. The last vision he had was the three dogs approaching him again, but their figures blurred and everything went black.

Lightface heard a yowl, but couldn't familarize it. Not Dragoneyes, not Lightpaw, not -StarClan forbid- Smallstar, but one of another Clans. She went charging off towards RiverClan territory, and saw a RiverClan cat, apparantly uncouncious, and she quickly snarled at the dogs, yowling, "Hawkpaw! Dragoneyes! Hazelpaw! Help!" She stood in front of the apprentice protectively. She tried to remember his name from a Gathering, and remembered Sandpaw. She scraped her claws agaisnt a dog's leg, and bit down, and with pleasure felt it break. She smiled as a dog sent howling. She wanted to boast, I defeated a dog and I'm not even a warrior! But she looked down, willing to defend agaisnt two dogs. She felt teeth on her pelt, and looked down horrifingly to see blood. She quickly licked it instinctively, and while she was doing that, felt more teeth on her leg. She felt a break and a horrible pain. She looked at the other dogs, barely standing. She hissed to Hawkpaw, "Look. Go get Dragoneyes, Lightpaw, and Hazelpaw. I'll be fine until then. Go now!"

Sandpaw still lay unconscious, blood pouring from his wounds. He was losing blood quickly and one of the remaining dogs was turning towards him again.
***
Smallstar got up and walked around camp. His leg was getting better; he could start putting pressure on it. stretching it out, he turned and sat down by the entrance. The hunting patrol was taking a long time.

Lighface hissed at the dogs, and wished that somebody-anybody- would come and help. Of course she had learned basic warrior battling positions, but not nearly as much. She was hissing weaker, her leg was really starting to pain her. She weakly swiped a paw at one dog, but only received a paw wet with her own blood in return. All she could manage was keeping the dogs away. She yowled again, "Dragoneyes! Lightpaw!Hazelpaw!" She had an idea, and she shook her head. No, she couldn't make Smallstar fight, could she? No..no..no..She wanted desperately to yowl and have Dragoneyes and Smallstar fight, but no..she willed Hawlpaw to run, so she could find the other sfaster. She gave up and yowled as loud as she possibly could, "Smallstar!"

Smallstar heard a faint cry coming from the direction of the RiverClan border. Was it calling his name? Yes, and it sounded familiar... Lightface!
Smallstar leaped up and bolted out of camp. He didn't care about his leg. It could be torn off and he wouldn't care. He could smell blood as he approached the place were he had heard his name called. As he approached, he saw two dogs advancing on Lightface and an apprentice that he remembered to be from RiverClan. He put on another burst of speed and leaped, pounding into the side of the dog closest to Lightface and the apprentice, knocking it sideways. He clawed down its face and turned to the other dog. It was advancing towards him now. He shrunk himself and bolted between its legs to its backside, then leaped on its back clawed down where its spine would be. The dog shook its back powerfully and flung him into a rock. He lay still.

Lightface seized the opportuniy, and attacked the dog that had fallen dwon. She clawed him and bit him, and felt triumphant, but looked over at Smallstar. She immediately saw he was breathing, and smiled. Good. She went back and sighed. She'd have to attack the last dog, andn that was bad. She knew she didn't have the strength to attack the last dog. She tried to go over to Smallstar, but the dog was blocking her way. She sighed, and mewed unhappily, "Great. I've got a broken leg, StarClan knows what Sandpaw has, and Smallstar's got a broken leg." She wanted to go attack the dog, but she felt rooted to the spot. She hissed weakly, clinging to the hope Dragoneyes, Hazelpaw, and Lightpaw would come.

Hazelpaw hissed when Hawkpaw appeared. She haden't expected him to show up, and it took her by surprise. "Dogs?" she echoed. It took her a minute to understand that the clan was in trouble, but her eyes filled with horror, then anger. "Let's go!" she hissed. Without waiting for Dragoneyes or Lightpaw, she raced off towards camp. Even though Hazelpaw had no formal fighting training session, she had a general idea of how it was done.
As she got closer to camp two new scents filled her nose, both somewhat familiar. Smells like dog and......RiverClan? Oh no! I hope there isn't an invasion! Soon Lightface, Smallstar, the dog, and the mysterious RiverClan cat came into sight. Hazelpaw immediately launched herself on the dog, lashing out with her claws. She would have to deal with the RiverClan cat later. Besides, he seemed harmless, but there could be other RiverClan warriors coming to look for him. "You made a mistake coming onto WindClan territory!" she hissed at the dog who was shocked when Hazelpaw jumped on him. "Stupid furball!" Suddenly Hazelpaw was thrown from the dogs back and she landed hard to the ground. She wheezed at the sudden pain but got up anyway. This fighting stuff is a lot harder than it looks.... I hope Dragoneyes and Lightpaw are coming soon! But for now she would have to protect her clan with all her strength. Even if it costed her life, she would protect them. Hazelpaw shook herself off and launched back into the fight.

Lightface mewed gratefully, "Hazelpaw...you're here..." She hopped up, ready to fight with Hazelpaw. "I'll help." She hissed at the dogs, feeling happy that she was able to fight to help her Clan. She got up, and enmewed, "Smallstar's not dead, he's dazed, and Sandpaw's unconcious. We're all fine." She threw a paw at the dog, feeling with satisfaction at once when she withdrew it to see blood.

Smallstar shook himself out of the stupor he was in and hurled himself back at the dog. There was only one left now. Hazelpaw had come to help too, he saw.

The all too familiar smell came to Lightpaw's nose as she ran after Hazelpaw. She could barely distinguish scents because they were all masked by the scent of blood. As the scene came into view she felt her heart clench. Not dogs again. She had not yet forgotten her last encounter with dogs. It had cost one of her clanmates their life. With this thought she betrayed her instincts to simply throw herself into the fight like last time and crouched low trying to avoid the sight of the beast that was thrashing around wildly. She could see two cats in heaps a few foxlegnths away from the dog and she knew that there was no time to waste. She could see Lightface whipping her claws out at it's face and Hazelpaw doing her best to injure anything she could reach. It was preoccupied and this was Lightpaw's opportunity to help them.
Lightpaw ran at full force and knocked into the animal's flank. She was not a big cat but she was smart and fast she knew that if she could get it on it's back then they would have a clear shot at its soft underbelly. The biggest weakness of all animals. The beast staggered a few steps but did not fall. Lightpaw swiped at its legs as it stepped back in her direction but was almost crushed and ran away a few steps to try again. She mustered up all the stregnth she had and pummeled into it's side this time claws out and teeth bared. She was latched onto it's side but she could tell that she had accomplished what she was trying to do. She looked around for her clanmates and saw them taking advantage of the beasts falter. She stayed latched onto the beasts side biting and doing what she could to help from the awkward position she was in.

Hawkpaw ran back towards his mentor, he caught sight of the dog and lunged at its neck but the dog had seen him and grabbed him in mid jump, throwing him at a nerby rock. Hawkpaw was momentarily knocked out, he tried to get up but immediantly fell down again. Starclan let me live.He finally managed to get up on three legs and looked down at his front leg it looked limp and he couldn't move it, there was a searing pain goinng through is leg. Hawkpaw blacked out.
