Rackna's sad gaze was fixed upon the ground as he left his mate handle the affairs of his pride members, and he couldn't help but to feel a rush of affection for her.
'She can still manage, despite the sudden turn of events...'
He thought numbly, smiling to himself.
Solio suddenly stepped out of some bushes, her face streaked with tears as she watched her nephew go. She gently rubbed against Rackna in an attempt of comfort, and then did the same to Elli. Her heart felt so heavy, it was as though her own son had left.
Brazen suddenly turned away, both angered and upset by his brother's departure. He stalked off over toward a lone Acacia tree to try and gather his thoughts.
Should I have already left my parent's pride?
He wondered, glancing longingly toward the red figure of his brother until it was out of sight.
Deka suddenly appeared from underneath his father's bulky sturcture, a small smile on his face as he toddled over to Ari, unsure of the purple and blue lioness that stood before her.

Kerai turned, and watched Brazen as he started to walk away. The coral rose lion, walked over to her friend, and sat by him. Kerai rubbed against Brazen, in hopes to help him feel better also. She put her paw lightly over his, as she nudged him softly and nicely again.
"Lady Ellidanio..." Areli began softly, as she glanced to Rackna, then to Solio also. "I too, would like to be granted permision, to leave this pride, to fallow your son, as I feel I can be more of help to him in Scarlet Shadows, than I can be of help here." said the lioness. Courage welled up in her, as she felt stronger, older, in herself.

Tay's gaze went from the scarlet female to her green counterpart. "Hello..." This was a new one...meeting two cubs in one day.

Elli leaned against Solio, relaxing for a moment, and then stood tall, content to be the strong one. The loss of her son pulled at her heart, and although she knew he was leaving and could return, she would miss him until he did. The sight of her mate lifted her spirit, even if he was as heartbroken as she, and she nosed her 'sister' toward Rackna.
"Goodbye Kish'ya." She murmured, and then tured to Areli. "You may leave Areli, and I wish you luck.. Rellick will need all the supervision we can muster, so keep him out of trouble."
With a final smile to the new adult, Elli turned to Briseis.
"Hello little dear," She murmured with an affectionate nudge. "How are you Briseis?"
Aritania smiled at her brother and nudged him playfully. "This is Deka... Deka, this is Tay."
She murmured by way of introduction.

Areli bowed her haid. "Thankyou, and thankyou for your hospitality." she said, then turned. She saw Kerai, and smiled. "C'ya kid." she said.
Kerai looked up at Areli, then lowered her head. "Bye..." she whispered.
Areli nodded, then slowly started to turn off, in the direction she knew Scarlet Shadows to be.
Kerai watched her friend leave, before digging her head in Brazen's fur, now for her own comfort.

"What? What's Verdi-Vera-Veena mean?"
He asked, wide eyed as he looked up at her. His tongue fumbled with this unfarmiliar word, but he liked the sound of it.
"My name's Deka."
He smiled shyly up to Tay, blushing pink.

The brooding wategra lurked about in the shadows. Many a day in this pride she layed low, keeping her precence minimal. despite living in the lands of this pride, she was still a solitary lioness, and always would be. Her respect for authority and rules were minimal, thus why she was the way she was. She doubted if even a fourth of the pride knew who she was, much less that she lurked upon a treelimb near by.

Aritania rolled onto her back, smiling at her brother and her friend. Though she missed her brother- and didn't understand why he had left- she enjoyed her life here. Her parents were nearby, as was her Aunt Solio, most of her siblings, and the rest of the Pride members. She never felt alone or unwanted.

Briseis looked at her happily, "I'm good!" she exclaimed. The cub pounced around in between her paws happily. She ran around without a care in the world which showed in her fur since it was full of dust and elephant grass.

The small cub moved slowly through the savannah grasses, her pale yellow fur blending well with her surroundings. The only thing that made her stick out was he blood stain-like marking opon her chest, the red standing out against the gold as blood stands out against everything around it as it should. With a quick stop she sat among the grass, letting her weary paws rest as long as her mind would allow before picking them up once more.
She needed to escape...
It was then that she realized she had fallen into some lion's lands. Her body seized with fear of what might happen. However, she had no idea of how she could announce herself. Even if she was an older kitten, she was capable of little more than a quiet mew.
Kittens should be seen, not heard...
She shook the memory from her head quickly, the vague image of a lioness determined to haunt her. She had to deal with the problem at hand.
'Do I just try to find someone? Maybe stay here and hope someone finds me...? They wouldn't hurt a kitten for intruding... Would they?'
She nervously began to groom herself as she tried to decide what to do. In the mean time... She hoped the savannah grasses would do a sufficient job of hiding her, and that the red marking would not give her away.

Rackna smiled to Solio, then lowered himself to Deka's level. Smiling, he batted at his youngest son playfully, chuckling softly as the little green bundle swatted clumsily at his large red dad.
Solio smiled weakly to Rackna as he started to play with Deka, and she padded away, somewhat in a weak attempt to comfort herself. She cast her eyes low, watching the rthymic waving of the savanna grass. 'That's odd...' She commented to herself, cocking an eyebrow at a small lump of grass that wasn't waving with the others. Stepping closer, her eyes almost bugged out of her head. It was a cub! And she was bleeding! Rushing over, Solio placed a comforting paw around the tiny golden bundle.
"Are you alright dear? What happened?"
Brazen comfortingly patted Kerai, his eyes downcast as he sat quietly beside the upset female. His flakes fluttered softly in the wind, whipping around the saddened couple wildly.

Kanashimi looked up at the lioness that spoke to her. Her eyes searched her face for a moment, her young mind judging. 'A lioness...'
The cub nodded, but kept her words short and to the point, "I'm fine..." Her eyes searched the lioness's face again and her ips pursed slightly. '...?'

Solio's eyes searched over the bloodstained spot, looking for some kind of scrape or scratch. Finding none, she cocked an eyebrow, quite puzzled.
"Ah, I'm sorry. It just appeared that you were injured... An interesting pelt decoration, I must say."
She smiled warmly, her eyes flicking back and forth from the stain to the cubs large, innocent eyes.
"Ah, excuse me. I am Solio, King Rackna's sister. You are...?"

Kanashimi nodded, searching the lioness's face for some trace of betrayal or lies with her own innocent, yet broken eyes. They seemed like the went on eternally, diving into her stained soul.
"...It's an easy mistake... But... I am Kanashimi. Please to meet you, Solio." Her words were well formed and thought out, as though she thought she would say something wrong at every moment.
