Since Grant was already at the back he simply stood up, moving over to the blue mat he stood across from Heather and looked across the class at the teacher.

He would have been intimidated by such a small class if Grant were one to get intimidated oftin. Usually that meant one of two things - they were extreamly stupid, or extreamly gifted. He couldnt decide yet considering he'd just gotten there so he turned his head to look away to look at Heather, raising his eyebrows and smileing lightly at her as if saying 'hi' with his face.

Jin slowly stood and made his way to the mat. Though, he stood by the far wall and leaned heavily against the wall. He crossed his arms over his chest as he was prepared to watch the other students. Though it was boring, if they made any mistakes, he would take note and make sure he wouldn't do the mistake.

Leah watched the rest of the students, who were not already in the back of the room, get up and migrate.

Finally all arrived and Leah cleared her throat, “Alright, who would like to go first? Any volunteers? Or I’ll start randomly choosing!” she smiled

Amaya/Rayvan was still on her knees, her forehead places against the mat as she struggled to recover herself and once again seal off that power hidden deep within her soul. She cursed her family for this, cursed them with all her being for allowing this curse to remain. She could faintly hear the screams of help from her students. She couldn't let them down, not now, she couldn't let her families curse kill any more people.

Holding her arms tightly, her nails puncturing through her skin, she cried out in pain as she tried to cut the connection to her past, tied to remove herself from the depths of her mind.

The Headmaster
User Image

As soon as the bell rang, the Headmaster cleared his throat and began to speak.

"Good morning, class. Unfortunately, your teacher, Jake, will not be teaching today," he began, not saying how long he would be out of service. Truthfully, he did not know himself, but his experience from knowing Jake gave him an assumption that the time would not be very long. He also did not say why he was unable to teach, not would he deny what happened. 'Everyone probably knows, anyway,' he thought with a small smile creeping up on his face.

"Now that we have finished the first very important chapters, I present you with two choices. First, we can continue like we have been by reading chapters and demonstrating comprehension through writing. Or..." he began, leaving the students on the edge of their seats. Three straight days of writing wore down on a student's sanity. Besides the dislike of bookwork by their new teacher, he wanted to give them a real lesson. Up until now, he had been stalling with information that was necessary, but unable to prolong for more than a couple days. He had thought they would have had an able teacher before then.

"Or one of you could suggest an alternative, as long as it is related to our subject, educational, and preferred by the majority,"
he said. The students seemed to prefer this option, and the class began buzzing with conversation as the students discussed another way to teach beginner water.

Amaya/Rayvan's eyes snapped open as she dashed up the stairs to the class room and raising her hand slightly, "Be still," she growled at the shadows as they returned to normal and sunk back to the edges of the classroom.
The students stared at her eyes wide, "well now...let us all just forget about the shadows moving shall we," she spoke with a slight smile. As she gestured the students towards the door, "and for all of you being so clear headed I am taking you all outside and teaching you an earth style game that helps with reflexes," she spoke happily as all the students grabbed their things and ran outside with Amaya/Rayvan in tow.
Before they got outside, she told them to put one something that they didn't mind getting dirty. Once they had all returned she lead them outside into the sun. Finding a nice spot with tons of dirt she smiled using a bit of water magic to make the ground muddy. "Lets play dodge the mud," she laughed as she used her earth bending to send a wave of mud at the unaware students. They all began to laugh and using only their magic and the mud on the ground they began play dodge ball with mud. Everyone began to get covered even Amaya.

She hides behind her dyed hair...

This proposal intrigued Tsuki. Of course she had read the rest of the book beforehand, so teaching it would be relatively simple. But HOW to teach it was the question. Though she was an avid reader, she was not very talented at coming up with ideas and stories herself. This matter would require more thought than a typical assignment. She gasped lightly as she realized what the Headmaster was doing: he was making them think. Too many days of stagnant reading and bookwork had made their minds slow and bored. This was sure to liven them up, and Tsuki could already see the effect on the class. Remembering her friend, Tsuki awoke from her thoughts.

"What do you think?" Tsuki asked her, hoping she might procure some ideas from the other's input.

Amaya....

Amaya was laughing hard, "Beee the mud ball," she called to her students as they all looked at her questionably as she raised her arms and the mud covered her forming a mud golem over her body. "Be the mud," It said in a dark tone as it shot mud balls at the students. The expert students chuckled and raised the mud into armor and helmets and fake swords. "we will defeat you evil golem," they called as the intermediate stepped back figuring all they would be good as was lobbing mud balls.
"ARRRGH" Amaya said through the golem as it stomped towards them.

Leah sighed as the hands for volunteering that eagerly shot into the air stayed at a zero. “Alright,” she said softly as she looked around to the different students. “Mr. Leory, please come to the center of the mat. I will tell you when to start.” She said as she gazed at her watch and waited patiently for Grant to situate himself.

“Begin…Now!”

Amaya....

Amaya and the students would clamored into the school completely coated with mud. The janitor glared at them as Amaya snarled angrily. They all were tired and needed something to drink badly. Sending her students off the take a shower and change clothing before heading back to the classroom. Amaya headed to her private quarters and dropped the dirt from her body leaving a pile in the corner of her training area, before heading to take a nice long hot shower herself.

Grant heard his name and he stepped forward onto the mat nervously looking at the other students... He didnt have many 'tricks' and when she ordered him to begin he locked eyes with the Teacher and put his hands several inchs from each other.

In an instant the air in the room was manipulated to his will, the gusts of win being forced from each hand counter-balanced and created a gust of spherical wind around his body acting as a controlled deterrent to any physical object. The gust of winds would blow a little at the students aroudn him but for the most part the wind was very controlled keeping the shield around him.

After holding it for roughly fourty seconds he stopped and shook his head, a bit exausted but he shook his body and at least looked ready to try something else... She said two right? he groaned in his thoughts.

He put his hands flat out like plates and without interuption he manipulated the air around him once again, this time, in his left hand a small dusty circle could be seen as he manipulated the air into another smaller protective shield, and in his right hand he was now displaying a mineature tornado, swirling and gusting around his palm and tickleing him a bit, the only way it was noticeable was if he had some dust or dirt to show the invisable wind.

Bringing his hand down he kicked up some dust on the corner of the ground that picked up into the tornado and it was now visible. He traded hands, forcing the tornado into his left hand and rolling the shpere into his right a few times before suddenly dropping his hands and they dissapeared. Feeling very nervous and vulneralbe, he didnt know exactly whe she expected of him, or of any of them... So he winged it... And suddenly found himself with a bleeding ********> He groaned as softly as he could, aware there was a teacher infront of him "Thats all, right?" He wondered as he put his hands to his temples and began to rub gently, feeling a bit dizzy now.

Amaya....

Amaya appeared in the class room a bit later dressed as if on a day off. She was wearing a t-shirt that said, 'How to keep an idiot busy, see other side,' with the same phrase written on the other. She wore a comfy pair of jeans and a pair of combat boots.
Once all the students arrived she smiled, "So everyone have fun," she asked with her hands in her pockets. The students all laughed and nodded. Happy to have a day off after what happened to them this morning. "Can anyone tell me what this game was about," she asked her students.
None of them seemed to have to answer so Amaya told them, "It is about having fun, which is a key in any game, but also it teaches you how to manage your energy and how not to waste it on one simple attack," she spoke getting nods from some of the expert students.

Jake looked up at the ceiling of the gym. Spluttering slightly he spat some water out and raised an arm up in mock triumph before letting it fall to the floor. Then he raised his other limbs in triumph before getting tired and resting against the wet wood once more.
~
His experiment had worked...Creating two Water Spheres the size of a man as teleporters to move a person or object from one sphere to the via water accumulation in the air. But in order to do something like this Jake had to make it humid as hell, which is exactly what he did. Controlling what water he could get his hands on he made a beeline of muggy weather to the gym and had teleported himself from Point A, the Nurse's Office, to Point B, the gym. The only problem was it took much of his energy to do this kind of thing after being stabbed and was now laying on the floor half-awake.

Leah watched Grant’s performance with the scrutinizing eyes. She wanted to be sure that the students transferring into the school and starting right off in an Intermediate Course, belonged there. Leah was a strict professor, but had one of the highest turnout in students passing their Advancement Exams, and that fact did not materialize on its own.

In answer to his question, Leah nodded then began, “That was all right, Mr. Leory. Please sit down.” Leah indicated to a desk near her. “If you are feeling unwell or your symptoms become worse, please tell me and I will fetch the doctor. I do not wish to have you become ill on your first day of class. Your symptoms are migrant-like and maybe a hint of vertigo, no? These are manifestations of an imbalance in your technique, which brings a toll onto the human body, another good reason to practice your powers with a friend just in case you pass out. Now, Mr. Leory, Air Manipulation is the balance between wind & speed. All elements have a physical and mental balance, Water Manipulation is water & serenity, Fire Manipulation is fire & chaos, and Earth Manipulation is earth & energy. An imbalance in one tips the scale of the other.”

“In your case, Mr. Leory, we need to perfect your mastery of wind; you have already perfected speed, maybe even without realizing it. What happened is that you used a lot of strength on small equivalent of wind. Thus, you were overexerting yourself and your brain was racing, so to speak, that was the manifestation of too much speed. Now we know what to focus on, be assured that we will work on balance in this class, for it will keep you out of simple mistakes on your test.”

Throughout Grant’s performance, Aura watched with keenness, hoping to glean off knowledge of how other air students controlled their powers. When Leah explained the balance of air and speed, it made sense. During her demonstration, Aura had too much speed and not enough command of the wind. That caused her loss in control of the air sphere, letting it run rampant. Aura sighed and waited for the next demonstration.

“Overall, Mr. Leory, the performance showed good control and regulation of your power. Good job.”
Leah smiled then turned to look at the other students. “Now who would like to be next?” she inquired.

Grant felt the blood rush to his head as the instructer spoke and he nodded when she told him to take a seat but continued to listen to her explination. He needed to work on more wind then speed... He nodded at that and rested at his desk looking to the side.

"Thank you... Mrs... Erm... Mrs" He said the last word as a statement, as if it were her name...
