Kuraiyume's plan was working perfectly, until some idiot sent the entire thing into disarray and awakened the enemy. Kuraiyume heard it happen and shot out of his trance, but all he could say was, "Fool! You've ruined everything!" He awoke as the branch was falling and managed to land on his feet. He then ran into the open where nothing could fall on him.

Kuraiyume muttered a string of curses and made some quick hand signals telling his genin to form up around him. As they came, they were sent reeling backwards by a shockwave of chakra and air. Kuraiyume hit the ground, his schoulder scraping against it, reopening his wound. He screamed in pain as he lurched to his feet. Hayaiko landed on his feet by some trick of the wind and braced himself for another attack. Hana hit the ground and rolled, then got back up. Taiyouhi vanished in a puff of smoke before hitting the ground and reappeared on his feet.

"This is bad..." Hana managed to say, as she assessed the situation. "The beast is fully awake, Kuraiyume is hurt, and we've got nothing that can hurt that thing. Nothing at all."

Kuraiyume clutched his shoulder and then moved in front of his genin, resuming his stare into the beast's eyes. At this point, he knew no fear. He was face to face with the monster and survived.

"Stop, Two Tails! Control yourself! You're more than a mindless killer. I saw if for one second... one second... something honorable in you. There are other paths to victory than killing!" he tried to persuade the beast, but probably to no avail.

"There is nothing else we can do here. We all know our limits, and our deaths would do nothing to stop the beast. Run, Hana! Run, Hayaiko! Run, Taiyouhi! Head into the forest! When you're all safely away, I'll catch up to you." Kuraiyume commanded.

"But Sensei..." Hana said. "We surely can't leave you now."

"That is a command, Hana. Leave!" Kuraiyume yelled.

The genin knew there was no way to persuade their teacher. They bolted off, leaving only Kuraiyume between them and the beast. The battered Jonin maintained his gaze, staring into the eyes of death without fear, for he had but one goal, and he would stop at nothing to achieve it. His goal... was to save his genin.

((um Duke Akosoki, I'm pretty sure that the demon's GIANT CHAKRA RELEASE dispelled your jutsu, since he sent a massive shockwave of chakra in every direction.))

Kanna decided to head back to her village. she did her hand seals and slapped her palm on the ground. a shadowed portal appeared behind her as she walked through it. she then reappeared in the leaf village. "Where am i?" she asked quietly while she walked through the village.

The beast watched as the stubborn ninja dodged his attack, narrowly, and proceeded to unleash an attack of his own. The ninja tried to attack with a chain. The chain attached to the beast, but the beast quickly grabbed onto it, sending large bolts of black lightning upon the chain, following the path right back to the ninja. The beast turned his sights on another target, the Zongetsi members that decided to enter the battle, at the worst possible time. The members fell from their perches in the trees, their long black robes swaying in the wind. Instantly, like clockwork, they began to get into a formation, to attack the beast. One brave soul stayed infront of the beast, seemingly unaware of it's power.

The Black haired Zongetsi produced a single kunai. With blinding speed he cast a hand sign, and surely none but the beast seeing it. He threw the kunai into the air, as if to hit the beast, but missed, barely. Instead, a large animal appeared in the distance, catching the kunai in its mouth. Instantly, the kunai formed into a large scythe, and animal revealing itself to resemble a large mongoose like creature. The Creature rose to the air, swinging it's scythe, creating a large gust of wind, aimed at the beast. The beast didn't even move to reflect the blast, instead creating a large wall of pure chakra. The wall was a mirror, which reflected the attack back to the mongoose, which was in turn slammed upon a tree, shattering the trunk.

Underneath the beast, a puddle of gray liquid appeared, which hardened into clay, clutching the beast's massive feet. The beast jumped into the sky, as expected, and a mouth formed in the clay, which began to spit out large clay balls. The beast's crimson cloth extended, wrapping around the beast, spinning. The cloth opened up again, and the beast was no where to be found, only a tree stump in his place. The beast was in the shadows, behind all the enemies, deep in the forest. Extending his palm, he unleashed a large, black beam, with the head resembling his own mouth. The beam was twice the size of the beast himself, and ravaged through the forest effortlessly, aimed at the Zongetsi, and anyone else who happened to be in the way of the blast.

Hizaki dodged Goji's attack, and sent him moving back, as a result of reflecting with his own sword. Goji recovered, and watched Hizaki create a large orb, and attack with it.

Goji acted quickly. Saying the command to himself, the sword changed forms, still being like a staff, but each of the blades becoming separate, becoming like a chain, held together by chakra. Goji released the blades, as the blocked the fragments from Hizaki's attack, deflecting them, Goji only being hit by one or two, but not enough to hurt him. The chain reformed, only to be rushed by Hizaki. Goji released the chain again, and blocked Hizaki's slash with his sword hilt, cutting his hand, blood seeping out.

Goji made a hand sign, as the pieces of the chain became poised to strike at Hizaki's back. If hit, the pieces could also explode. Goji jumped farther back, preparing for an explosion.

Kuraiyume dropped his kusari gama to protect himself from the dark energies that were being shot through it. He cursed out loud and picked it up after the clay formed at the beast's feet, when he was sure the energy had dissipated. He saw the beast turn into a stump and saw the beam, heading straight towards him. He used his ride the lightning jutsu to jump away from the beam quickly, so he was not hit, since nothing short of light speed could do such a thing.

He contemplated the situation. He was here with 4 Zongetsi, fighting a seemingly immortal foe, with nothing but willpower, brains, and chakra. As he assessed the information, he noticed something which changed everything. Something which he did not want. Something which frightened him.

He saw his genin running back.

He made a series of hand signs to ask them why they came back. They signed back that the beast teleported near their location and that they were running from it. As they got closer, Kuraiyume could see that part of Hayaiko's hair was charred off because the beast's energy blast came so close to hitting him.

Kuraiyume and his genin formed up near the Zongetsi. As this happened, Chi Hana saw Kuraiyume's re-opened wound. "Sensei, you're hurt," she said, concerned.

"It's nothing," he said. "Just the wound from before, that's all. I'll be fine. We have more important things to attend to than my physical wounds."

Then the injured Jonin turned to the Zongetsi. "I see you have a plan. Is there some way we can help?" he inquired. All they could do now was wait for the Zongetsi's response, and for the beast to attack again.

((wtf are Zongetsi, btw? If they're not supposed to be my friends, then Kuraiyume doesn't care; anyone who is on his side is his friend, even from an enemy nation.))

Using several acrobatic movements, the Zongetsi members moved out of the way, closely dodging the large blast of energy sent their way. The attack had leveled the forest, a large path cut through the growth as a result of the attack. The beast was still back there, but they had to flesh them out. While preparing for an attack, the group was approached by another ninja, with a squad of genin hanging behind them. The pale, black haired Zongetsi member hung back, while the others continued to fight the beast.

" Some way you can help? You can vacate the area, and tell no one of our time here. If you do, I will find you, and destroy you. Erase our arrival from your recollection of the battle, lest I do it for you. Understand? Leave us be."

The zongetsi member jumped off into the distance, hoping that was the last he had heard of the squad. Making a handsign, the ground underneath became like a swamp, and several weapons began firing out of it, toward the beast. Another member, an exceptionally tall ninja wearing a green harlequin mask, produced a large sword, which then cloned itself into several more, and proceeded to attack the beast. The beast shattered the clones by using a jutsu that extended the size of his claws. The beast then opened it's mouth, electricity streaming out of it, and spit several chidori like balls at the Zongetsi.
