At that moment, the vampire girl said she was leaving and Rhm gave a little wave before turning back.

Asako noticed out of the corner of her eye that the vampire chick was leaving, sparing but a moment to wipe the proverbial sweat from her brow, before returning all of her attention to Jake.

Aww, he's shy! she giggled to herself. It had been a while since she had really gotten to talk to someone truly shy, and it rather amused her that it was this rather nondescript, thought undoubtedly nice she mentally added, human boy. From what she had seen of the Human Realm, she would've expected humans to be more outgoing. But maybe he's the exception to the rule, she pondered thoughtfully.

"Yeah, just trying to know everyone better!" Asako chirped happily. "And Rhm's right: tell it all at once."

Just then, Asako noticed two things that the promise of interaction had wholly driven out of her mind: one, there was a steaming hot plate of fish in front of her, and two, she was starving. Not hesitating, she dug into her food, -as politely as she could- while waiting for Jake to answer.

((I'm soo sorry that I forgot to tell you that I wouldnt be here yesterday. I had a tournament and we left friday in the middle of the school day and I totally forgot to inform you all...))

Before either of the ladies had a chance to respond, the cat - Rhm - butted in and almost excitedly shouted, "Both! They're probably part of the same story, so tell it all at once."

Jake ended up shifting around a little uneasily in his chair as he pondered on how much he should reveal about himself. A some-what soft feminine voice sliced through his thoughts, "You don't have to tell us if you don't want to, we don't mean to pry...Just trying to get to know everyone better."

It was the Anne girl; she was smiling very nicely at the young man. Jake gave a small smile back and was about to start telling the group vaguely about his life in his quaint little town in the Human Realm when the chipper Asako joined in again.

"Yeah, just trying to know everyone better! And Rhm's right: tell it all at once."

This little outbreak seemed to stall the boy for a moment. He averted his eyes so that he was looking down in the direction of his tray, but looking through it into nothingness.

"Well... I grew up in a small village in the country and lived there for my whole life until my parents enrolled me here." He paused and thought of how he could explain how he came to be at Artemis Moon. "I tapped into a minuscule section of my abilities when I was only seven. They - meaning my powers - weren't really harmful until seven years later, over a year ago. I think that my powers are still developing because I find out new things everyday."

Down from on the cold cafeteria floor, Anko lifted his head up and stared at the group. He openly broadcasted his thoughts to the four students at the table, And that's pretty much a wrap.

Jake slowly nodded his head in agreement and returned to looking at his food.

((back! I'm dead tired!! I didn't sleep more than 4 hours in the whole weekend, and it was chilling cold and I lost my voice, but I had loads of fun! yay! and now, to Anne...))

Anne heard the boy attentively while eating. When he finished and Rhm intervened, she took a gulp of water and decided to share a bit herself. She still owed the cat boy a tale of the Human Realm, but she didn't want to ramble endlessly about the details of her youth.

"Well, I discovered my powers early on, at about four. I didn't have my parents' support, though, and I grew up embarrassed of them, thinking I was a freak. We moved around a lot, and when I was about to turn thirteen we arrived at New York. That was when Gabriel found me and became my mentor...he taught me a lot about life, about philosophy...about myself."

She smiled in spite of herself; the warm memories of that year lingered in her heart.
"When I turned fourteen he decided I had taught me all he could and left, and with his directions I started journeying around the world and started to learn more about my powers, and about defending myself. After a couple of years I found out about Faerie and I guess the rest is history..." With a small chuckle, she fell silent.

Asako listened to both Jake and Anne's stories with a interested anticipation that gradually deteriorated into a letdown, mild disinterest. Come on, the Human Realm has got to be more interesting than that! She thought, irritated. I've only popped in on occasion and I know there's more excitement to it! They make it sound like torture!

She was just about to cut in and say just as much when Akerian stood up and said to her, "Hey Asako, I'm ready to start you training. if you're not ready i will be on the roof."

Asako's first reaction was Hey, I was about to tell everyone that great story about that vendor in Central Park!, followed up by what she actually voiced. "The roof? How do you expect me to meet you on the roof? I don't have wings, remember. Why can't we just head out to the grounds? And I might not even be ready yet." She pouted, crossing her arms. She was acting childish, and she knew it, but she was about to get her time to shine, and by Kami, she was not going to let anything get in the way of that!

"Nuyork..." Rhm tried the city's name out. He felt an excited fluter in his chest. To think of a city in another world.... He just bet it was one of the places that had the sky-scraping towers. Ah! What he wouldn't give to see them!

"...ready to start your training. If you're not ready, I will be on the roof."

He dragged himself from his daydreams in time time to see Acarian leap out of the window and fly away. Rhm stared at the empty air where he had left from. "Dramatic, isn't he?" He said. He turned back to the girls and Jake, particularly Asako. "Did he say training?"

(( made sense to me biggrin . Except, just to clarify, could we hear you thinking about the demons? Or when you say "...closing your mind up to all outsiders" do you just mean people who can actually read minds?

also, just a suggestion from me: don't explain the mysterious demons in OOC. Wait for it to come up in the story so it's really part of your character. Like, I know it doesn't seem like there's much to Rhm, but I'm just bideing my time cool ))
