~I know...~ She took his hand in hers, running the pad of her thumb along the backs of his fingers. ~I'm not trying to hide anything. I just need to figure something out first okay?~
"I slept through it." Nami admitted sheepishly, sipping at her tea. It was calming her stomach and for that she was grateful.

Clow nodded to her, and squeezed her hand lightly, before turning to Nyl and then back to Nami.
"Well if you two would excuse me, I'm heading off to bed."
He set down his empty mug on the coffee table, and then kissed Nami on the cheek and then her lips softly and quickly. Then he pat Nyl lightly on her shoulder as he stood up.
"When you decided to go to bed...I'll probably be asleep, so make yourself at home next to me. Good night, love."
With that, he had went down the hall, and then made his way to his room, before entering and closing the door, and then finding his spot on his bed, before passing out instantly.

Nami nodded, smiling at his retreating figure before turning back to her tea and taking a deep drink. She stared at the coffee table's surface for a moment, lost in thought. The tea was doing a wonderful job at settling her stomach and she felt slightly more at ease, though still tired.
"Why were you sleeping outside?" She asked after a moment, white eyes glancing up.

"Because I fought against Alice and then she ran off and I just sort of sat down and fell asleep." Nyl shrugged, as though this happened often. "Why are you so tired?" She grinned.

She didn't answer at first but quickly found a reason to roundabout the question. "Why were you fighting Alice?"

Nyl's grin widened for a moment when she recognized a diversionary tactic, before fading to more of a frown at the question. "Orochimaru was controlling her, too. I think I made out worse than she did in the fight, though." She was glad that the dim light of the main room hid the bruise and swelling on her face.
She decided to let Nami divert her for a bit longer.

"I don't remember Clow saying anything about Alice...maybe that's why he was out in the forest in the first place...going after her." Nami frowned, staring down into her mug a moment. " He...half of his markings are gone..." This was an afterthought. She looked back up at Nyl, eyes still sharp despite the dim lights. "You're hurt."

"Mm, not really. She didn't do much more than punch me a couple times." Nyl grinned again. "You know how hard it is to win a fight without making one attack?"

Nami didn't have to ask why Nyl didn't attack. She knew Nyl would never hurt someone, especially a student...even if the student attacked her. Her face transformed into a momentary glare at the thought of Orochimaru.
"Where is she now?"

"Off...somewhere. In all honesty, I didn't have the energy to go after her." Nyl sighed. "I'd enjoy killing him, I think. And normally I don't enjoy killing anyone."

"Well, when you do kill him you'll be doing a lot of people a great service." She conceeded willingly, finishing the last of her tea and setting down the mug on the table-top. She wanted some more but lacked the will and energy to get up.

Nyl laughed quietly. "Enough confidence in me to say 'when,' hm?" She got up a bit stiffly, to take her mug to the sink. "Want me to take yours, too? Or do you want more?"

Alice yawned softly, leaning against a tree in the forest. She had spent the night out there again. It felt like she had run away from that village again. Sighing, Alice got up and looked around. Nothing but a stream and trees. She wished Orochimaru were here... but wait, maybe Nyl was right?

"I...would love some more." Nami admitted, bowing her head, eyes searching her wrists for signs of a hair tie. Frustratedly, she dug through her pockets to no avail.
