I can't find a link to it but Still Alive (from Portal) slowed down significantly is really eerie. As for depressing, pretty much anything by the band Evanescence would fit the bill. I can't think of many other songs that would fit that description, as I tend to listen to brighter songs when I do listen to music.

One of the saddest (and likely best) bit of RP I have ever written was done so solely to the song "Hello" by Evanescence. They are mournful and sad, but honestly I did enjoy their work quite a bit. I still go back and reread it from time to time.
Then again, I am rather dark/morbid. Not just Ruined, but the person at the keys behind her.

Wow that song is awesome and different lol I typically listen to happy songs or classic rock, but I use music to be able to understand my character feelings more. So I have like badass if hating, sad, happy, optimistic, betrayed, etc

Oh yeah, Eva was more than just the hype post-DareDevil. They were a legitimately good band who had a fantastic vocalist. Granted, I don't listen to them anymore, b/c their songs affect my mood too much.
I listen to most genres some, though I say I only like classical and techno.

I've been on a Viking Metal kick for a while, and prefer metal above other genres. twisted

For what it's worth, I really like the Power Metal sub-genre. I love Sonata Arctica's sound.
Heh, phone auto-correct is so weird sometimes.

Can I rant for a minute?
Right now I am in this long journey of finding myself and be at peace with myself. Due to that, I do not want a relationship. Hell. I'm not looking for it.
But at the same time, I want someone to cuddle with me when I need it, to hug me, to kick my a** when I'm being dumb, to give me the push out of the door.
My friend suggested FWB. I laughed. Really hard. Because several reasons.
1. My state is part of the bible belt. Not the strongest part but still, it sorta is. 2. In my entire life, only two guys and one girl were attracted to me. And I'm 25. 3. I don't have the guts to go up to someone and be like, "Hey!" ha ha.. no. 4. In related to number 2. one guy and one girl was over the summer. I guess I get better when I'm older but at the same time *winces* 5. I do have a guy in mind I want to FWB with, but back to number one, he's religious. Holier than thou. Don't get me wrong, I respect him but his beliefs and mine are two different stories.
I guess I'm just unsure. I'll continue my journey of finding peace with myself of course.

Wow, that's nice. My new vocation might actually pay (reimburse me) for my cellphone service. Which is to say, I've never had nor do I want a cellphone, but I'm willing to have a work-only cellphone if they're footing the bill.
Rant away! What's the point of being here if you can't be yourself, after all. smile
As for your concern, I'm a devout Christian, so obviously my advice is going to be based on those premises. I doubt going for your Christian friend is a good choice, assuming he believes fornication is wrong (one can never assume in a religion as splintered/varied/denominationalized as Christianity). At best he'll just deny you, and at worst he'll either scorn you for asking or agree to it (both things he should not do).

no no, I don't really want to FWB with him lol. It's just showin my options here are very much limited.
But that's okay. If I find an awesome friend and we end up being FWB that's cool.
It just sucks having needs lol

RANT! please feel free. As Snowman said, one should be themselves. Goodness knows I rant, rave, piss, and moan all the time in here. Hence why I predominantly speak in here as Ruined, my more negative persona online.
I would LOVE a friend with benefits . . . but have no prospects. My physical and emotional needs have not been met in a satisfactory way for many may years. There are spurts, yes, but in sum it is very frustrating. Still, what you describe does not seem to me to be a FwB. I see a cuddlebuddy. When I think FwB, I think the physical act of being intimate, but you want somebody to hold you. You need a bestie. That I can understand quite well.
Unless you really are saying you don't want a relationship, but are horny. That is a different ball of wax altogether. sweatdrop

yea. I meant to add sex to that list.
I thought I did lol.
I want someone with all that. Cuddle. Swift kick in the a** when I need it. Also sex when we need it too. heart heart
I wouldn't call it horny, it might be, but....yea.
I dont' want a relationship because it means commitment.
So overall I do want everything that means a relationship but no commitment? that's FwB .....right?
Good greif, this is confusing
