Oh, this is a creature from your era? It came with you to the Brink? I thought the Brink brought it here. :::She looked at the spider from behind its tupperwear enclosure. It was really very amazing::: There are many strange things in your world...like him. Are there not?

Tac nodded, "There are some incredibly strange things in my world, I've even encountered evolved species of spiders that can talk, some that are far superior in humans to intelligence, but they usually tend to keep to themselves. Creatures as tall as some buildings, faster than vehicles of my time, able to fly higher than conventional aircraft, or even creatures that are truly bizarre."

He was a bit reluctant to propose it, seeing as last time she had declined, but he pressed forward anyhow, "Well, why don't we just go see some of the less than human creatures that inhabit my world right now? I'm on a leave of absence from the GPD for personal reasons anyway. Travelling abroad looking for a way to contact my other half directly. You could even watch and make sure I released our little friend here instead of, um, not."

:::There was genuine remorse in her tone::: I am so sorry Tacitus. I would love for nothing more than to see all these creatures, and to see your world with you. But I do not think it is a good idea to be exiting to other times when the Brink is so seemingly under attack. I wish it didn't send me home. I wish this were my home, for all other times to explore. But for now, I think it is best that we not test it.

He sighed as he pushed off the table as she drew closer, letting out a brief sigh, the pain of sadness hidden within it as he took her in his arms, looking into her eyes, "All I'm trying to do is share my world with you, n..." He stopped, just unable to continue. He blinked for a moment, "You're wearing a sheet. Not that I'm complaining...."

I have clothing over there. :::She attempted to push off in case he was embarassed. She wouldn't soon forget the first time she showed up in a sheet. Thank goodness for Malazar.

He smirked, "Offended, nah. Hell, if it were upo to me I'd keep you like this all the time when we were alone. If you want to get dressed you're free to, either way, I'm fine with it. Now if someone else were here instead of me I might have a problem with it, but nevermind that." He looked into her eyes for a moment before running his hand through her hair and bringing it back to lightly caress her cheek, "Have I ever told you how beautiful I think you are...?"

He lifted her chin up so they could look one another in the eyes, "Only because it's true, Cora. Mind," he ran his fingers through her hair and kissed her forehead lightly, "Body," running his hand down her cheek and finally resting over her heart, "and Soul. You are a beautiful person Cora. I see it more and more every single day."

He never took his eyes away from hers until he got close as he leaned in. Just being near her was intoxicating, he took it in for a moment before letting it all go, pressing his lips to hers in a passionate kiss.

When it finally had to end Tac reluctantly pulled back slightly as he opened his eyes, a smile had found its way to his face. He didn't want the moment to end, the worries that were outside the embrace, he didn't want to have to go back to them, or that damn spider. He simply stood there, holding Cora in his embrace, lightly tracing the curves of her body where his hands rested.
