The classics are almost funny when you compare how corny their special effects are to what they can do now.
Nothing beats a stunt man in a monster costume that's so cumbersome he can barely move around in it.

I like all godzilla movies, though the versus era was kind of sub-par. The only ones I really dislike (american titles, not jap) are Godzilla's revenge and Vs. The Smog Monster, but its almost universal on hatred for that one.
I think my top three are Final Wars, Vs. Destroyah, and King of Monsters.

My personal favorite is Godzilla 1985.
Also Bambi vs Godzilla.

1980 isn't bad.
I'm rather particular of the one time monsters too. Like Titanno and Battra.

Gamera was a childhood hero of mine. And I still like the idea of a turtle shooting flames out its a**.
But then again, I also love really horrible movies, so I admittedly can say that its due to my MST3k Complex.

Godzuki was an abomination.
Minilla was also annoying.
Godzilla Jr was alright because he grew up.
