Aeris sighed breathing heavy the set Moist dirt beneath her back. the cool breez coming off the lake still felt hot to her .Aeris smiled an laughed softly "Yes, i soppose it was "Aeris sighed hearing the frogs an other tiny creatures make music of the nite. feeling of arms warping around her Aeris let out a sigh she hadnt felt this kinda of contact in a very long time "Yes,ive been well i misse home tho that why i came "Aeris felt his hand going thru her hair an turn over to face to face so she could look at him in the eyes"I became a presitess while you were gone .but i always knew you were safe .because of the blood rose you gave me.it never welted "Aeris smiled then sighed deeply then leaned in a kissed Raven

Aeris gasp softly feeling his weight ontop of her .Aeris looked up blushing "i would never give it up. you gave it to me on my birthday.that is the only thing i treasure "Aeris answered softly then sighed "yes i know , an yes it wasnt the best an when you left, a month after i left too"Aeris smiled "I am used to the outdoor that why i cant take a bath in my room like i used to .it just doesnt feel right "Aeris shurged "yes alright i guess i wouldnt know ."Aeris gasp soflty again being pulled into Raven lap feeling his arms warp around her again"Well being intune with one self is good thing "Aeris sighed hearin the part Aeris turned around in his arms Stradling Raven putting arms around his neck kissing Raven deeply then borke the kiss"Maybe that what i want"Aeris said soflty

Aeris smiled an shook her head "i thought already said what i wanted"Aeris smirked tiling her head "Well then, like i said Raven "Aeris soflty the nibbled on Raven his lower lip then looked at Raven in the eyes an then kissed Raven again then broke the kiss"i want this but not here,anyone could walk by "Aeris kissed Raven once more then broke free an got dressed an took Raven by the hand an pulled him up an whispered in his ear"let's go to my room well lets have some privacy atlest."Aeris smiled now walking back to the manor

This was painful for Raven to watch. Alexander had no idea what he was doing here. Dorian was a cop not some local towns person who got nosy. The idea was to intimidate not induce blunt force trauma. It might have worked on the locals but cops are different, they deal with that sort of thing already. Alexander had just created a great deal more work for raven, damage control. Maybe she would have better luck with Dorian when he came to. She said nothing to Alexander as he left but exploded when he was gone. She went into a nonsensical ramble over how stupid he was. She stopped to rub her temples, "Relax, relax... he is just a boy.... why do we have boys in the guard? Shadow would not have let this happen. And leaving a shadow behind to? Do your job properly and there is no need." she then screamed at the top of her lungs form sheer frustration. After taking a deep breath she took out her phone and called Marcus. "Next time send someone who knows what they are doing. Alexander might be your brother but he cannot handle himself. He has no idea how to intimidate anything and had to resort to physical violence. When dealing with a cop you do not use violence. It just makes them more determined. I now have to do damage control with the subject. If he was not in my home I would have had a great deal more damage control to do. So please for the love of god send someone with more experience next time. The guards are turning into a damn joke. Much more of this and I will not be sticking around. All he did was show off, nothing more!" She yelled it all down the phone before taking a breath. during a pause she heard Dorian stir. he was coming to. "He compromised the manors security. If you do not do something I will. he seemed more concerned with a dinner bet than the task at hand. If you could do me a favor and teach him the difference between a joke and an actual bet that to would be nice." Raven's frustration over all of this would have been quite clear. She really did not like what was happening to the guard. It was becoming to flashy for her tastes. She longed for the day when Shadow was running everything. back then it was a well oiled machine now it seemed like a free for all.

"Yes you may have your fathers temperaments and I really do not care. Shadow would listen rather than reminding me that he has a temper. he can control his temper." Said Raven, she was still angry about all of this. All she could do was compare how things were to how things are now. "If you were expecting this then why did you send him?" she said. Now she was completely confused as to why Alexander was sent in the first place. It was like sending a medic to disarm a bomb, a terrible idea. "You have a funny way of showing me that I am an asset. Sure he has dealt with minor snoops but if you knew this was going to happen then why? " She was trying to see sense in all of this but she was failing at that. "Yes I can see that he was showing off for me, that is part of the problem. If he cannot control himself then why is he even in the guard? Oh and why would I play along with this? What possible reason could I have to play along with that bet? I know he has not seen what we have seen and I do not see why that is relevant. If he is not capable then why bother having him around? And for the record I have no intention of having dinner with him. I will not play along with his childish fantasy." Said Raven.

"I have no idea where I am originally from. My family has traveled around quite a bit over the generations. We have had family from just about everywhere on the planet I think." Said John. he was not sure exactly, he had never really looked into it. he just knew he had a great uncle named Gizel. It was just one of those odd things.

Raven shook her head. "A swordsman trains with a swords master before gaining battle experience. The training comes before throwing them into battle. Next time train someone in what to do rather than hoping they just get it right. We are lucky that it was a controlled situation, we do not often get second chances. Next time we might not be so lucky, we could end up with a dead cop or worse, a living one who has reason to come venturing up to the manor in force. Sure we would win that battle but how long before governments get involved?" said raven. That was her final piece of advice on the subject. "How could I possibly be doing the manor a favor? In the end I will tell him about his actions, as for the dinner I will deal with that myself when he shows up. There is not much more I can do beyond that. I am not his personal trainer nor do I wish to be his personal trainer." Said Raven. Alexander had left an incredibly bad impression on her, enough to lose what respect she had for him. Now she saw him as a danger.

"Magic? What is magic? it is something we have not simply explained yet. It you just call it magic then you stop seeking answers and when you stop seeking answers you stagnate. Just because you cannot explain it now with logic does not mean you will not in the future." Said John. he paused for a moment, wondering what she just said. "The stars huh? Sure." he said.

Raven hung up, she was pleased with what had transpired and knowing that Alexander was going to be punished did make her happy. Time passed, Raven had moved Dorian up to her bed. He was slowly coming to and would recover soon, then she would talk to Dorian. When the door went she answered, seeing Alexander there she considered just slamming the door until she noticed his face and then she smiled. Marcus had kept his word and she was happy to see it. Raven made no attempt at hiding her satisfaction. "I hope you have learned your lesson from this Alexander. Do not ever endanger the manor again otherwise you kill us all. Oh and one other lesson..." she paused for a moment. "Showing off gets you nowhere. Women are not interested in children" she said and then slammed the door. Hopefully Alexander would learn something from this, hopefully he would also learn when a joke bet was made. She went up stairs to Dorian and waited until he regained consciousness.

"There is always another mystery to solve when one has been answered. Without asking questions and answering them, humanity would never have made it this far. We would still be primitive afraid that the sun would not rise again unless we sacrificed to them. medicine, technology, all of it. It is better to stand in the light knowing than lost int he dark with mystery." Said John. he was looking up at the stars and never noticed what Selena had done. "You can explain the 7 wonders of the world. the does not make them any less wonderful."
