Rini swallowed and did as she was told, dropping her book satchel in her place and stepping toward Hya. Her eyes darted about, quickly taking in her surroundings before honing in on their chuunin instructor. What was he going to have her do? Were they going to spar to see how she could execute the three jutsu in real time? What if she failed and something went horribly wrong? Would Hya really hurt her?

The girl straightened her back, pushing the many questions away and waiting for further instructions.

Taking Hya's advice, Rini forced her mind to settle down and shut up. She wet her lips, flexing her fingers as she watched the chuunin draw a single kunai. He was going to attack her. Still, Rini forced her mind to stay quiet, focusing on her task as Hya counted off. When the kunai flew, she moved her hands quickly through the sequence of signs and cried, "Kawamari no Jutsu!"

Again, the rushing, falling, weightless sensation swept over her, as her body was replaced by a training log just in time for the kunai to strike wood instead of skin. Quickly taking a hold of her new location, Rini flattened herself behind the tree -- out of sight -- and waited.

Rini was tempted to send out a clone to stand before Hya instead of herself, but decided that she should probably just do as he said and get this test over as soon as possible without unneeded complications. So, she jogged out and over to her previous spot beside the log to receive her new instructions. Upon hearing them, Rini balked slightly. Impersonate the Mizukage?! Regaining her composure, she swallowed, nodded, and directed her attention toward the stand in question.

Taking a breath, Rini formed an image of the Mizukage in her mind and molded her chakra to suit it. "Henge." Smoke swirled about her as the genjutsu wove into existence in the shape of their illustrious Mizukage.

Rini did her best to move as a seasoned shinobi as she strode to the ramen stand and leaned against the counter. "Excuse me," she asked in the Mizukage's voice.

The woman behind the counter jumped slightly, eyes widening at the sight of 'him'. "Mizukage-sama! What can I do for you today?"

So far so good. Rini gave the woman a charming smile, feeling a bit more confident with her disguise. "I just managed to escape my paperwork and was wondering if I could grab a quick bowl of misu ramen before my guards realize I'm gone." She added in a conspiratorial wink, and the woman chuckled.

"Of course, sir. One bowl of misu ramen coming right up."

Rini waited, growing a bit more and more nervous with each passing minute, hoping and praying that her ruse would not be discovered. She carefully maintained a steady flow of chakra around herself to maintain the illusion, straightening and grinning when the woman set a bowl of steaming ramen in front of her. She thanked the stall owner graciously, taking the bowl and making her way quickly back to the training field. Once there, she presented the bowl to Hya and released the henge with a faint sigh of relief.

Rini nodded. At the moment, her nerves were too shot to eat anything -- especially if she was about to be engaged in a duel. Taking a deep breath, she created the clone and took a couple steps away from it. "So, my clone has to just evade yours on its own?"

The replica in question started backing away from Hya, watching the chuunin carefully.

The clone stiffened when Hya's charged, eyes narrowing and bolting toward his clone instead of away, ducking and sliding under the water clone's feet. Rini's replica scrambled to its feet and continued forward, while the real girl's mind raced through possible plans. She would have to pull as many possible tricks as she could to help her clone escape. Frowning in thought, she made two more clones and then, taking a deep breath, executed the replacement jutsu again, swapping herself with her escaping clone. This done, the trio of clones scattered, and Rini herself continued running to hide in a nearby tree.

Rini gasped and clung to the tree as she was plunged into sudden and total darkness. A genjutsu? She tried to dispel it, but nothing happened. Her vision remained dark full of absolute nothingness. The girl began to tremble. What was Hya doing? When the chuunin in question spoke -- sounding extremely close -- Rini jolted and flattened herself against the trunk of the tree, which she could still feel even though she saw nothing. Was this what it was like to be blind?

She winced at his sharp words, bowing her head and closing her useless eyes. "Yes, sensei," she mumbled meekly, icy fear gripping her chest. Did this mean she had failed the test?

Rini cringed and covered her eyes to shield them from the sudden light when the jutsu was released. She blinked several times to clear her vision as Hya spoke, shaking her head quickly and glancing up at him in surprise at the praise. She had done well? Did -- did that mean she had passed. Suddenly re-energized, Rini scrambled down from the tree and hurried to her position in line, a smile of success plastered on her face. "Thank you, sensei!"

Her chest felt light as she accepted the hitai-ate, bowing deeply to Hya. "I will do my very best to serve in any way I can," she pledged before rising and smiling broadly at him. Her smile faltered every so slightly for a moment. What was she supposed to do now? Hya had said that she would be assigned a squad -- surly by the Mizukage, right? Did that mean she had to speak to the Mizukage himself to be assigned?

Rini swallowed and bowed again to Hya. "I'll see you around, sensei!" Turning she hurried off into the village.
