Tomorrow He let out a low breath before pushing himself to his feet, turning to face her, gripping his IV stand tightly to support him. He felt slightly vulnerable - all he was wearing on his thick, scarred body was a thin patients smock, gaping at his back, his a** hanging out for the world to see. "...Ready." he said, trying to sound confident. " State your name for the record, and place of birth!" A simple question, or was it? The smile didn't leave her face, and the room seemed to grow a little dimmer making the pale blind woman almost seem to glow with and inner light. She was playing with him... making him feel uneasy first, keeping him guessing as to when she would truly throw something at him that would test his mind and body... just as Fate was want to do for those who believed in her.

" Oh very much yes. It was a wonder I was even alive at all given the strength of the creature and how much larger it was than me. But I had killed it and after I had healed I was trained to be the next guardian, taught how to use sword and shield and the powers the shield held. When Levin died of old age, I took over in his place. But I was always a wayward child and I soon left for the mainland on the next trading ship, taking the shield and my swords with me."
He smiled abit then and chuckled at the memory,
" I had never seen anything like Strata before. It was...intimidating, but I was headstrong and eager to take on the world without knowing anything about it. I met Maximos and Tomorrow there on the docks though, and got my first job."
He shifted alittle himself, settling better on his legs and rubbing the slightly dead feeling from his feet. As blood flow resumed to those distant appendages Damion resumed talking.
" He helped me find my first team for Heaven or Hell and I learned just how much I enjoyed hurting people and just how little I knew about the world. To see all those fighters from all over in one place...it was breathtaking, to imagine the power in those arenas. It made me want to see everything and to improve on my skills, so I wandered for abit and did odd jobs. I have fought in Heaven or Hell for 4 years now, each time with a different set of teammates and now I return with my original team, plus Stephen. I took on the job as Maximos's delivery boy sometime during last year's tournament, or the year before. It's difficult to remember. Back then I was human and looked no different than anyone else. I had no markings, none of the skills I have now."
Unconciously the elemental reach towards his neck, touching at a blank spot there that was lighter than the rest of his skin. It was obvious something had been there before that was absent and from the way it ran around his neck it was clearly a collar.
" I had gained earth manipulation my first year on the mainland, an anomoly thanks to a mixing of blood. I turned into...this, thanks to a pact made with what I thought was a dragon. I haven't regretted it yet."
There was much of his life Damion was leaving out, not because it wasn't important but because there was so much of it. So much blood had coated his hands. So many deaths he had been the instrument of that it was hard to place them all without mixing them up in his head. The hydra could only taste the overlying feelings from those long past battles, the scent of blood, the pain of wounds and the exhultation at a kill made, the sheer joy of everything. The only fight fresh in his mind now was the one with Maximos, the one where his mind was opened to new possibilities.
Somewhere in his soul a voice called to him and tugged at his killers heart, demanding blood, demanding sacrifice, and he turned from it to smile down at Tilly.
" I have picked up many skills in my lifetime, short as it is. It would be many days before I could finish them."

"Goodness.." She chimed, her voice like a small bell. "I could only my life were half as interesting as yours."
Sweeping her bangs out of her eyes, Tilly smiled, her eyes dreamy with his story.
"All my life I've just done what Calliope wanted me to. My last two assignments--I was actually sent to them for inspiration. My first was a woman, very nice. She was a human, loved to write and create. We saw great potential in her, and it showed in her writings." Tilly tilted her head to the side, a sigh escaped her. "She passed away though, in a car accident. That was my first strike. You see, we operate on strike, three strikes and you're eliminated. My second came as my second assignment killed himself." Tilly's eyes glanced up towards Damion. "Everything that I told him drove him mad.. He would go on about colors and how he envied me. He stopped sleeping, eating, going outside." Her lips pursed into a light frown. "He stabbed his writing pens into his eyes. I found him the next morning... About ten or so years later after discipline training I was assigned to Ryugi, as a challenge. But I've reached my third and final strike."
Looking up into his eyes, she smiled faintly.
"Funny thing love, isn't it?"

" Yes."
No.
" Funny."
Not at all.
Damion let his head fall aminute in thought, staring at the ground as he thought of what to say next, what to reply with. He wanted to know more about this person that held such sway over her. Wanted to know the extent of their powers and skills and how best to defeat them, how best to kill them. With their death, he had no doubt, her freedom would be assured.
" How will they find you? Who will they send? Will this....Calliope come for you themself?"
Each piece of the puzzle added would give him an upper hand in the fight he knew was coming. He hoped that Calliope was a god, or their equivalent, and that they were vengeful. He wanted a true fight, one there was no chance to walk away from, and to taste a gods blood after walking away from something like that would be better than the finest wine. Damion thought of the tools he would use and the weapons he would need and found that of all his 'toys' only one would be needed in the end. But first, he needed her answers and so his gaze fell back to her, expression serious.

"They always know where I am, just in case." Putting her hand to her chin, she thought for a moment of who would show. "I know for a fact that Mistress Calliope will come. Sophie will come with Mistress Melpomene-- seeing as they're the avatars of Tragedy."
A soft sigh escaped her, her little heart beat slowly-heavily in her chest. Shifting, Tilly crawled closer to Damion, her hand outstretched to touch his knee. The muse didn't like seeing like this, though, she had a feeling she'd have to get used to it.
"It'll be okay, Damion.." She smiled weakly, trying to muster up the effort not to cry. "I'm going to try my best to stay.."

Damion took her hand in both of his as gently as he could, his hands shaking just a tad without his notice. He gave her his best smile and tried to come off as calm and believable as he told her what he saw as the truth.
" I will kill them all if I have to, to keep you here."
For a moment he was every inch the monster he really was, a beast garbed in human flesh only through the providence of fate and ill-fortune. His smile was all hunger and bloody excitement and his eyes carried no hint of warmth inside their green irises. As far as he was concerned, they were the ones living on borrowed time.
" But until that time comes."
And now he softened, shoulders losing their tension as his arms reach out further to capture and pull her closer to him, laying back slowly and tugging her around ontop of him somewhat.
" I will not speak of it if you won't."
Damion sounded tired and beaten, as if that was the last thing he wanted to do. He would rather be upfront and savage about it without the need for kind words and bloody promises. He'd rather let his claws and teeth speak for him as they always had in the past, no greater truth than bloody death staring you in the face. But for her he would wait and lie until the day came where his hands would strangle the life from any being who thought to enforce their will on her. The cold ground did wonders to calm him though and soon she would be able to feel his heartbeat cease its racing and settle into a steady and slow tattoo in his chest.

AtaraRaven " State your name for the record, and place of birth!" A simple question, or was it? She was playing with him... making him feel uneasy first, keeping him guessing as to when she would truly throw something at him that would test his mind and body... just as Fate was want to do for those who believed in her. "John Tomorrow...and I don't know."His face was serious, but the question troubled him inside. It was the simplest question you could ask, but absolutely nothing sprang to mind. It was if there was an obvious gap in his memory that should have information slotted in - instead, there was nothing but a gaping hole. His surroundings dimmed a little, but he wasn't scared - she glowed brightly, so he focused upon her and tried to put other thoughts from his mind...

Tilly sighed softly as he pulled her down, it didn't take long for her to get comfortable, at least physically. Her mind was still a garbled mess of worries and thoughts. She could feel his apprehension.
"Damion..." She whispered to him softly and sweetly. "You don't have to hide anything from me... I know that.. You're going to try and hide what you're feeling. But don't okay? I don't care if your angry, or-or sad- or anything." Propping herself up on her forearm, she gazed down at him, her free hand brushing his forehead. "I'll take it as it comes..Whenever that may be."
Without much further ado, Tilly's eyes began to close as she leaned down as she kissed him. Unlike the other times, the shy muse abandoned her insecurities, pouring what passion she had into his lips, her hands gripping at his shoulders. Her lips pulled from his for a moment, scared that she might have done something wrong..
"I just want to be with you... I don't care about the short time we've known each other.. I haven't been so happy in years.."

He listened without reaction, simply staring into her eyes and letting the information digest. Honesty was a hard quality to come by but in Damion it came in excess, the man wasn't given to bouts of duplicitous action outside of the ring or a hunt, his observations alway blunt and forward when they were warranted. So when she kissed him with force, he returned it with just as much force, hands gripping her hips while his thumbs slid up and down the bare flesh of her stomach. If she wanted him to be honest he would be but he'd already told her his intentions.
A whine nearly escaped him as she pulled back, but she merely had more to say and it caught in his throat before it could escape. The elemental found himself smiling again, something he'd been doing alot of recently given the way his cheeks felt strained doing it,
" Then I am happy."
And he was and he showed it to her with a kiss of his own, closing the distance between their lips without a second thought, letting his tongue push into her mouth slightly and run across her front teeth. Damion greatly enjoyed this style of kissing, a needier type the spoke of energy and desire. He only hoped that they wouldn't be interrupted by anything else that thing might be less an object by the time he was through with it.

With a gentle pant, Tilly vocalized her content with a quite hum. It sounded dangerously close to something else. Her tongue tangled with his however Damion was still dominant in the matter, even though she was atop of him. She could only hope that she was decent at it, he proved much more, as always. Once again, she let her pleasure get the best of her as she ventured away from his lips. With a trail of kisses, she ended up at his neck where she let her tongue curiously give little licks at his skin before she laid her kiss swollen lips press where she had been. Her nibbles were nothing like Damion's, hers were light and plenty, sometimes she bit just enough to leave a lasting mark. She felt the appeal in doing so, making a pang of guilt creep up on her before she ignored it away. Tilly continued for a while before slowing to a halt and pushing herself up so that she hovered over him. With a blushing grin, she bit her lip gently, his green eyes transfixing hers.

Small hissing gasps let her know just how felt about her nipping him, body jumping ever so slight at the softer touch of her teeth. Some men enjoyed a certain roughness and that had its place, but the gentlier touch did so much more for Damion. His chest rattled in a long and slow growl that obviously signified pleasure if past experience was anything to go by. His hands squeezed her hips before slipping further up to rest on her lower back, fingertips clawing slightly while not digging in.
When she stopped he did whine, eyes rolling open and face turning into probably the only pleading expression he'd ever leveled on someone that sat entirely wrong on his face. It was like looking at a caraciture of someone who was sad and the fact that he could maintain the look spoke volumes. The thing was, he didn't actually feel sad, it was just the look he wanted to give that was slowly crumbling in the face of her smile until like a levi breaking his smile came back aswell.
" Careful..."
A playful warning, a hint that he knew she might not be precisely ready for somethings yet. That wasn't going to stop him from letting his hands venture down to give her a** a squeeze through her sheer skirt, laughter rising out of him even before he'd moved his hands back up fast, waiting for the inevitable reprecussions of his actions. His hands skated up her back, fingertips pressed to smooth skin while Damion enjoyed the sensation, like a smooth river rock on a warm day.

"Careful?" She said with a giggle. "I was getting you baa---HAAIIEE."
Jolting up fast as he grabbed her behind, Tilly lightly batted at him with a hallow fist. She had an embarrassed expression on her face, but she wasn't angry in the least bit. Maybe a little cute frown.
"That wasn't fair~ I couldn't do that to you!"

" Why not?"
That was a good response, exactly what he was looking for infact and he continued to smile up at her while letting his hands drift back down. His fingertips brushed the back of her thighs slowly as he palmed each cheek in an open challenge. Damion saw no reason not to push boundaries today as it seemed to be the day for them after all, running straight through obstacles in a headlong fashion as they learned more and more about one another. He didn't want the day to end at all and was glad for their early activities instead of nocturnal ones where their time might be cut short.
Much like Tilly's reactions to his attention, A fire was blooming and growing in Damion's chest and spreading throught his body. Where she lay his skin tingled and prickled in a not unpleasant way. And just as any natural creature a stirring had begun in his own loins, pressing up against her in a way that made him shift slightly and turn slightly red himself. He was not so dense that he didn't know what it was but he was hoping she hadn't notice, though it'd be slightly difficult given their proximity.

Blinking a bit, Tilly slowly registered the happening. Her pale eyes widened as a very hot blush pasted her cheeks. Swallowing a lump in her throat, or trying to, she shifted to push herself up and off.
"I-I-Dami--Whu.."
Curling her legs beneath her, she clasped her hands to her face, her eyes closing in embarrassment. She swayed a bit, trying to think of something to say.
"I-I'm f-flattered.. B-but I..." Opening her eyes, her looked up to him, the sunlight making the opalescence apparent. "I'm sorry.."

Damion wouldn't look at her, instead choosing to look somewhere off in the opposite direction without blinking, as limp as an unconcious body.
" No...I'm sorry."
He didn't move from the ground for amoment but slowly picked himself up and stood again, arms hanging limply at his sides. A rare look of defeat had settled onto his face like a vulture settles over a carcass, every inch of him coming off as apologetic and sad. It wasn't that he was upset with her, far from it. He was upset with himself, with the lack of control, the lack of restraint where he should have the most restraint of all. In the ring he could be a beast and gorge himself on blood but it was there that his gluttony for things of the flesh ended. He left it all on the sand and denied himself a great many things that most humans just wouldn't or couldn't do without.
" I shouldn't have...I didn't mean to react that way." He offered with a sad shrug, once again not looking at her and instead focusing on his left foot, squeezing piles of dirt up with his toes.
