Toby wrapped his arms around Maia and kissed her cheek.
"Definitely," he said. "I'm glad we came home like this." He looked toward Dari.
Dari caught the look and smiled, then scratched Peaches' head and set him down. He rolled right over, expecting attention, but instead Dari headed for the kitchen. He'd said he wanted to taste everything!

Lori had dropped the gang off and headed home himself, more than ready to see his boyfriend face-to-face and his dear dog for the first time in far too long. He let himself in and all of the fatigue seemed to drain out of him.
"Hello?"

Luca sat up, looking around for a moment. He'd clearly been napping, and was still groggy. "Lori?" he said, and sat up. He stood and hurried to him, wrapping his arms around him. "You're back," He said, as if he couldn't believe it. "I've missed you!"

Luca was so cute when he was sleepy. His mannerisms brought a grin to Lori's face as he opened his arms to accept the hug. "Of course I'm back! I missed you too." He kicked the door closed and smiled down to Rosie, who was standing nearby with nub wagging wildly. "And you too, Princess!"

Luca hadn't yet let go of Lori. He leaned forward and kissed Lori. "I'm glad you're home," He said, happily. He turned away only to yawn, covering his mouth. "Rosie's missed you."

Lori stole another kiss, humming as he did so. Oh, it was so much better to have him in person. He'd never been in so much contact with a boyfriend during a mission before. Apparently none had missed him enough to need to. Go figure. He nibbled Luca's lip, grinned, and then broke away to say hello to Rosie. It was a few moments of frantic movements and baby-talk, then she ran off and brought him back a stuffed elephant, more baby-talk, and then transaction was over. He returned to Luca, picking him up bodily. He was exhausted, but he'd stay up all night if Luca wanted him to.
"RAAAAGH!"

Luca was surprised by being picked up. He leaned against Lori and smiled. "Aren't you tired, love?" Last time he'd been on a plane he'd slept a full twelve hours. Would it be the same for Lori? "We could head to bed." And snuggle. Watch a movie. Tell of adventures in Ireland... As long as Lori was there, it didn't matter what they did.

"I'm exhausted," Lori admitted with a chuckle and lowered Luca back to the floor. It wasn't like he could lift him very far, not at their heights. "Do you want to? I haven't seen you for a week, I don't want to go to sleep." Even just cuddling would be a good plan.

Luca took Lori's hand and led him towards his bedroom. "We can catch up," he said, "and then nap." He reached up and ruffled Lori's hair. "I'm so happy you're back. I thought I was going crazy without you here."

"Mmm, I missed you so much." Would Luca be adverse to sleeping at some advanced stage of nudity just so he could feel skin against skin? Probably. That didn't make it any easier to ask. He wrapped his arms around Luca and waddled after him, once burying his the crook of Luca's neck. He couldn't stop clinging! How unlike him.

Lori didn't have to ask. Luca squirmed away from Lori's hold only to pull off his shirt. He snuggled against Lori. "Skype is good, but its not the same." Not the same as having him right here.

If Lori did not already have specific knowledge that wood elves were not psychic, he may have questioned it. Luca was only gone for a second, and Lori took that time to pull off his own t-shirt and take Luca back, feeling him chest to chest. Luca was warm and solid and familiar. "No, it's not."
Lori leaned over and kissed Luca's bare neck. Not remotely the same.

Luca moved to capture Lori's lips after a moment. He'd missed this. Missed just being close to Lori."I think I'll stay another night," he muttered, and kissed Lori again.

Had that not been the plan? Lori had been very much looking forward to spending the night with Luca. Oh well. It seemed to be the plan now. He fell into the first kiss, grinned, and then fell into the second. He pulled Luca closer and deepened the kiss just a little. He'd missed him so much, and suddenly he found himself wanting more than just a snuggle, even as tired as he was.

Dari had been a delight these past few days. Watching him reintroduce himself and surprise coworkers never ceased to make Toby smile. It was back to work before their Ireland trip was even supposed to end, though.
The kelpie wanted out.
Toby was waiting for the van to arrive out in front of HQ with a pair of sunglasses on, expression impassive. He really could do without teenage Unseelies.
