She was still aimlessly looking around, true, but even she couldn't miss the large shadow that was forming right next towards her. Or miss the sounds of heavy movement. Or, frankly, miss the giant blob of black and blue that moved directly towards her rather quickly for something that big.
"Egh-!?" she began, first in surprise. For a split second, she was afraid that she had gotten the attention of a wild Marshtomp.
Which would be bad.
As in, little Kiptastic right next to her was only level 1 [at best], and her only other Pokémon was Cubchoo [and even then, HE was also level 1]!
a**lén - for that split second - thought of the Marshtomp just merely slapping her poor creatures unconscious, before making her loose all her money.
HOWEVER, at least rational syntax of thoughts came in. For, although, yes, seeing evolved forms of wild Pokémon around did occur naturally, this area seemed filled with too many of the so-called 'low leveled' guys to have something like THAT merely waltzing around.
So, she straightened her clothes a bit, frowning in trying to put what words to say.
"Um... hi, there.... Little - ok, not-so-little - guy. Nice..." she began, patting the tall guy on the head [or as high as she could reach], "to meet you, Mr. Marshtomp."
Surely he had to have a trainer around, right?
Well, whoever the trainer was, they had something in common - a type of Mudkip. Kiptastic, however, was not all that excited to be right next to a big giant version of his future self.
Emphasis on very big, and very gigantic!
It took a quick movement of her eyes, and studying of her surroundings. Mysterious man, ten 'o clock, 6oo feet, standing still, appears to be glancing this way... her analytical mind processed.
Bad at communicating? Oh, yeah, she had that.
Bad at making friends without common ground? She had that, too.
But having situational awareness 99% of the time? She had to have that.
Alas, having SA still meant that she had to talk to him. She was so helplessly lost by now that she kinda had no other option. So, with a it of courage, she turned her body off towards the side to look at the man [who now seemed to have noticed his Marshtomp was over next to her], and simply stated:

Rei stretched back from his chair. He had been researching all day without pause. A satisfying pop sounded from his back.
"Well, that settles it, I need a break," he commented to his ever-watchful Zubat. She cried with glee and zoomed into his hood after dropping his TADS on his head. Used to her antics, Rei caught the tool and read the latest message.
"Off to find more evidence, I see. Well, let's go meet up with the group." He grabbed his researcher's pack and headed outside to meet up with the group.
He eventually spotted Michael waiting outside the gate.
"Hello there. I'm ready for today's adventure," he joked.

Michael stood by the gate and waited for others. While he was waiting he looked at his pocket watch and determined he would wait five more minutes before heading off. A couple of minutes later he saw Caesar and Rei walking towards the spot and let out a big wave. "So we ready to check out this cave y'all?"
Caesar made it to the meeting spot and acknowledged the wave from Michael before answering witha simple. "Fine"

Maddy was returning to Anistar from a brisk walk out on Route 17 when she saw three of her teammates up ahead, leaving the city.
"Hey, guys. What's up?" She greeted them, walking up to them with her hands in her pockets.

Rei answered Maddy's gesture with his own, a small nod of the head with a Zubat wing waving hello.
"I am well. How are you, Maddy?" he asked, keeping in standards with small talk.

Michael watched as Maddy arrived and listened to her question and said. "Well we're headin' to the frost caverns to scan for signs of Yveltol. Care to join us?" He then looked at the rest of the group and smiled.
Caesar just stared at Maddy as she walked up and kept his mouth shut. Being new to the group he was still to shy to speak to the head of Team Aqua.

Maddy smiled, glad to see her team members were hard at work investigating the Legendary Pokemon still.
"Sure, I'll join ya." She said. She reached into her handbag and pulled out her eyepatch, putting it on over her green eye. "Let's hope we don't run into any trouble with Team Flare."

The Marshtomp didn't seem to mind being pat at all. He seemed to actually enjoy it.
After Caleb came over and introduced himself, he quickly discovered that the young lady was lost. He gave her instructions to the pokemon center in Anistar City. She could get more assistance from the employees that worked there. He was a bit curious about her outfit, but now didn't seem to be the time to ask about it.
He hurriedly said goodbye before heading off with his Marshtomp to go and meet the others.

Rei sighed. He almost forgot about Team Flare.
"Hopefully they won't be around, but we can't be that lucky," he grumbled, noting the previous day's lack of Flare. His eyes caught a certain Marshtomp's ambling stride, in stark contrast with his trainer's quickening pace.
"Looks like Caleb will be joining us, as well," he remarked.

Michael nodded at Caleb as he walked up and smiled before saying. "So let's head out." He then headed out of the town and onto route 15.
Caesar just followed Michael and said. "Let's go." And walked onto the route.

Rei walked past the brush, carefully avoiding the piles of brush. He didn't want a repeat of last time's walk through the route. In an attempt to be friendly, Rei tried to strike a conversation with the newest face, Caesar.
"So, how did you join Aqua's ranks?"

Maddy gladly followed behind the group, walking a little slower and enjoying the scenery. She was in a rather good mood today, for no particular reason. As always, she had a smile on her face to show it.

Caleb noticed the others waiting. Ah, looks like they hadn't left yet. He and his Marshtomp waved to them before joining into the group.
