I still haven't won my fight by default?

C. Fox They're not. Justin wins every american tourny he's in, and Daigo is still on that level above 'merican players. So either Daigo or Justin will be there to take everyone's money. That dude, Arturo Sanchez, though. I fought Auturo back when Street Fighter 4 was still young. My El Fuerte went against his Zangief and I took a round from him. But after that, he read my moves. Back then, I wasn't as good with Fuerte as I am now. But man, I wish my Fuerte was still in that league to compete against top players. The problem with El Fuerte is that he's min maxed. He has great mobility but sucks at everything else. His pokes leave something to be desired (though you can sub by ex running through someone else's pokes, cancel, then go into his cr. mk strink), but that requires meter anyway. El Fuerte is all about reading the opponent and surprising them, which is not always a guarantee. He plays a different game, but at the same time, I just feel we don't have that "ten year experience" like everyone else has with the core characters. Rufus is an exception because he has such good mix up offense that's relatively safe, while El Fuerte's mix up game is a low reward, high risk.

No thanks, just reading KB's posts in the OOC is quite enough exposure for me. I'd rather fight someone who I can enjoy fighting.

I didn't get a free pass.
I showed up to my fight, my opponent didn't and I won by default.
The "I won" part being the key phrase.
Of course this is all hypothetical talk, depending on how the vote goes.

When did you start assuming that there was a qualifier. This is the first round. It's no different from any other round. Stop trying to twist it up like that.
Now hopefully I can have the scores out tonight and get the second round started tomorrow. Also, I won't have the graphical bracket updated on my deviantart until I draw up the people's faces who came from the waiting list. But a text version of the bracket will be displayed prior to the second round.

Maybe you should develop other tactics/shenanigans with Fuerte that might work.
Every Fuerte player has their own "thing", while every Ken or Ryu I see is basically the same thing.

Well then you should have fixed the bracket.
Right now the bracket reads that the fist ROUND position, the box where the faces go, is contested by two players. That means that the first fight establishes who makes it INTO the bracket, basically, a qualifier.

Actually, there are quite a few advanced ones that I should practice eventually, like his armor cancel Ultra and a few option selects he possess to make it seem like he instantly reacts no matter the situation. Fortunately, unlike everyone else, El Fuerte hardly has any "bad matchups." He's equally good against anyone else due to how easily he can adapt to situations.
One good quote I heard "El Fuerte is a counter pick to counter picking." razz
