That water was cold, colder than it had any right to be by Damion's standards and he had very low standards to begin with about such things. Her shove took him by suprise and sent him reeling backwards with a shocked grunt, arms pinwheeling for amoment before he smacked into the water with a splash and went under. The cold was stunning and almost painful to his tempature sensitive body and the man shot up from the water with a loud gasp and alout of floundering. Atleast the current wasn't strong, but that was little consolation as he struggled to get from the water as fast as he could, crouching on the bank and dripping steadily.

At first he was angry, his teeth gritted in a snarl as his head swung back and fourth in search of his prey, but slowly the playful nature of the game sank in. With water still running down his face Damion moved forward to inspect where she had been, looking for tracks in the soft ground. Even with her light feet he could differentiate between her footprints and dents in the ground. He followed after them slowly, moving on his fingertips and toes in a way that vaguely resembled a reptiles motions, keeping his body low to the ground. This lasted only long enough for him to be sure of his trail before he stood up and began to lope after her, each footfall finding places of soft earth either by his own making or natural, to muffle the sound of his feet.

When her trail stopped abruptly ahead of him, Damion slowed down to a walk, then a slow creep. Careful placement of his feet brought him to her tree, holding his breath the last few feet so as not to give him away. He could feel her there on the other side of the tree and took that assurance as a cue to spin around the tree. His right arm shot out and blocked her path followed by his left to keep her pinned between him and the tree, hands gripping the wood as he stepped up and pressed her back with his own body, a low growl emitting from his smiling mouth.

" Fun game."

He breathed, bringing his face close to hers and chomping inches from her nose for the clicking noise his teeth made.

Tilly grinned as he found her, for some reason, she wasn't scared or even spooked in the least bit. Even as he pressed her to the tree and snapped at her nose, she just kept eye contact with him. Grin widening, Tilly mimicked Damion. With a cute little growl she gnashed her teeth at him, that is before breaking into an outright adorable giggle fit.
She wasn't cut out for the tough role of anything, Tilly was and always would be just cute. Giggles dying off, Tilly hugged his wet body to hers without a care, a happy smile born from her grin.

"I know you'll always find me..~"

His smile broadened when she went into her giggle fit, the noise altogether pleasant to his ears. Damion found that he wanted her to be happy like that all the time, wanted to hear her giggling or her laughing. A certain resentment built up in his heart for Ryugi before he squashed it with savage willpower. He had no reason to resent Ryugi at all, especially when the object of his attention was pressing herself to his midsection so eagerly.

Damion's arms came away from the tree trunk and slowly wrapped themselves around her body, hands settling on the opposite hip than where they started, holding her as close as she held him. His face became buried in her hair and he inhaled deeply of her smell before lifting his head again and smiled at nothing in particular. The sun was beginning to warm his body again, a change that Tilly would be able to feel across his bare skin, like the warming of a heat blanket. While not hot enough to evaporate off his body, something else just as interesting happened. Little sections of his torso and legs, the ones still very wet, began to disappear from view and reveal whatever was behind him to her eyes. It was like a magicians disappearing act.

"Warmmnn~"

She seemed to purr as his skin heated with the sun, her eyes opening halfway. The little mused peeped up and jumped a bit as she saw him disappear.

"Ahh! Stop that!"

Tilly scrambled to hold onto him tighter, afraid that he would vanish all together. She didn't understand, not in the least.

"Why are you doing that!!"

" Stop what?"

Damion glanced down at her in confusion, not understand what she was talking about. It wasn't like his disappearing act made him feel anything or that it was a concious thing sometimes. The 'invisible' things were still quite solid, as she would find out upon squeezing him tighter.

" Tilly....stop what?"

Her concern was starting to rub off on him and his voice carried a harder edge than he had wanted it too, face drawn into a serious look. His head swung back and fourth in a sweep of the area, looking for danger or the source of her despair, trying to find a threat that didn't exist.

Letting go of him, she held her hands to her chest and bounced up and down a little. Making her braid sway here and there.

"You started turning invisible!" Her fingers found her mouth as she realized she was overreacting, face flushing. "I-I'm sorry... I just got scared that you'd go away.."

Reaching out, she touched his side, letting it side to his hip to see if he was indeed solid. He was. Furrowing her eyebrows, she looked up at him apologetically.

"I didn't understand.. I'm really sorry.."

"Eat, rest, and we'll start the tests after lunch."

John sat on the edge of his bed, trying to shake ot the dizziness from his head. The trip to the bathroom had been a struggle, but he'd made it - chalk one to Johnny. Now he was waiting for the tests to begin.

The lunch had been delicious. The food was semi-tasteless, but nutricious, and he'd scarfed it all down without a moments hesitation.

He was dreading these 'tests' the good doctor and her irritating blind college had in store for him, but...it needed to be done. All he could do now was...wait.

He laughed as she stroked a hand over his side, finally seeing what she was seeing. Or not seeing.

" It's ok, I'm not going anywhere. I'm not as perfect with that ability as I'd like, sometimes it just kind of happens."

He told her, his whole body disappearing like something out of a sci-fi thriller and reappering in a rush, his smile back again as relief flooded through his system. She had scared him with her own fear, giving rush to adrenaline and other such chemicals in him that now began to slip away in a draining stream, his muscles sore and weak feeling. Damion's hands closed over hers and brought them to his face, bending over so that she could reach better.

" See? I'm not leaving, I'm right here."

He spoke with a laugh in his voice but it was clear he was trying to calm her down, rubbing the back of her hands with his thumbs. His smile shined, white and sharp, across his face in undisguised amusement.

Her expression softened as he grabbed her hands and touched them to his face. The worry seemed to melt away, her shoulders relaxed, a gentle smile. Tilly was at peace with it now, she'd be sure to remember. Muse had fantastic memories, which also came as a hindered at times. But not now.

"Okay.."

She crooned as her smile grew into something a little more emotional, more loving. Opal eyes searching his face, Tilly resisted the urge to tip top up and put her lips to his, push further than last the night before. She knew she wasn't ready for it though, at least physically. Tilly had only just met him, she didn't even know too much about him and already they've kissed and-- she blushed, remembering the feeling of his body pressed against hers, her back to the cold ground.
She disguised her thoughts and intentions with a sweet smile.

"I-I want to know more about you..." She said. "Is it okay.. Is it okay that I do?"

He wouldn't have to wait too long, not more than half an hour at the most before a ripple in the air, shining gold like what pure sunlight was supposed to look like in all the stories, and from out of that rip in space stepped the annoying blond herself.

This time she had a very different sort of appearance, her gown was still white and gold, but it was a style that hod gone out of fashion more than a thousand years ago, and instead of stylish dark sunglasses she had a simple cloth tied over her eyes.

"I have been asked to test your limits, do you consent to this test?" Her smile was more than slightly condescending this time, and she wore an aura or authority that she had not before. The rip closed behind her, leaving the Norn to stand alone and looking so very out of place in that modern hospital room.

Damion nodded, leaning down to kiss her cheek and feel the burning heat there from her blush, relishing it. She was so cute when she blushed and he had begun to take it as a sign he was doing well in some regard, though what that was was still a mystery.

" Of course. What would you like to know?"

He had no secrets to keep after all, and he liked her question in all honesty. No one had really asked it of him before. His mind began to open up files previously locked away, theoretical dust billowing in his mind as he dreged up the memories. The hydra made a mental note to ask her a similar question later although it was less important to him. The present, not the past, ruled his thoughts always which was likely why he got such a kick out of fighting, which was all in the moment.

Without ceremony he thumped onto the ground, sitting cross legged infront of her as he prepared for story time as a thought crossed his mind. Like any loving animal domesticated by man, Damion leaned alittle forward to nuzzle his head against her thighs, closing his eyes and enjoying the feeling of her smooth skin against his face, the slight coolness from the wind and the water of earlier. After amoment he had to draw back to speak obviously and thrilled at the feeling remaining on his face.

Musing a bit at him nuzzling her thighs, she smiled shyly before she knelt down herself. Tucking her legs under her, she sat to the side, her hands moving to fix the rumples in her sheer skirt.

"Well.." She said as she moved closer until her leg touched his. "I know it sounds.. Vague and cliche--B-but I want to know everything." Her shy smile seemed to grow more meek as she looked to him. "I like you..So I just.. Care."

Looking down, Tilly fiddled nervously with her fingers, as she had never said anything like that before.

He let out a low breath before pushing himself to his feet, turning to face her, gripping his IV stand tightly to support him. He felt slightly vulnerable - all he was wearing on his thick, scarred body was a thin patients smock, gaping at his back, his a** hanging out fir the world to see.

"...Ready." he said, trying to sound confident.

" Well...where should I begin? At the beginning?"

That was where most things started, but Damion's past was very much in the past. He hadn't been to his home island in 4 years or more and much of it was lost to time.

" Well...when I first entered the world I was an only child. I was 6 when my little brother was born, Emile. We were the chieftans two sons and born of the same mother, so we received the best education the island had to offer in matters important to us. Fishing, carving, growing things, and soon we were to begin hunting the creatures that lived in our tropical world, the things that came from the misty place to the south."

He moved his hands as he talked, miming actions that he thought deserved it and generally flipping them around as if that was natural. As he spoke memory returned to him and he was able to add more information than he had previously thought possible.

" Monsters of great size that resembled the natural creatures of our home. Crabs the size of houses, rats as big as dogs, things of that nature. We were able to survive thanks to a magical item our guardian used, a man of great size and skill. Our village possessed a shield, the only piece of metal in the region, that could turn the creatures strength back on them. Levin was his name and he was my instructor in the combat arts after my brother died. You see, the creatures of the forest had many skills that let hunt our people, and one night I woke up to find my brother Emile missing."

He didn't seem sad at all to recount his brothers death, or infact feel anything at all. It was a story to him now and the pain and suffering it had brought much lost to time. Damion didn't take his eyes from her face ever during his recounting, almost seeing through her into his own past.

" I knew the creatures of the forest must have him, so I rushed out to save my little brother. I followed his footprints as we had been taught, his path easy to find and more than enough evidence to assure me of his fate. But still I ran after him and called his name. I found his body and the creature that had ended him feasting upon it, a giant insectoid beast as big as the mainland horses. It had great rending claws,"

Complete with hands motions,

" And pincers that would snap me in half with no problem. I don't remember much of the fight beyond my tears at seeing my brother and the point when my anger roared up through me. I remember picking up a rock, and being found hours later by Levin."

All the while Damion spoke, Tilly listened attentively she had no trouble envisioning the story in the least. A vivid imagination took care of that. Her right arm crossed over her middle hand grasping at her side as her left arm propped itself up, head in palm. Her expressions varied depending on what he said, ranging from surprise to a soft frown.

"Were you terribly hurt?" She asked quietly, not wanting to disturb the mood.
