"Her inconsistancy and willingness to give away sample plots certianly gave way to that conclusion, but I have no proof that he is still alive. What if she did kill him and took over his manor?" The elf was just curious as to how this Roarke would respond. The elf followed him into the surface and had to shield his eyes. "What in the nine hells is that!" Born in the dark, knowing the dark.

Roarke handed Cedric a pair of shades. "Ah, sorry about that. I keep forgetting since I'm here so often. This is sunlight. Or at least, simulated sunlight."
"She didn't kill him. I'd know if she did. Malik's death would cause very....unpleasent rips in the timestream."

"She knows but she won't see it." Communion...much like reverie in teh learning process. Not full blow clarity or the vividness of a reverie induced memory...but still. Though a soft shake of her head. "If she was scared she knows how to hide it...all part of being a diplomat. She touch you?" Because though Fianna could hide fear well and good...she didn't let people close if she though you were going to harm her or she distrusted. Piper remembered that quite vividly. "And he won't torment you...he has mother to tease." Though she fell silent a moment, considering the answer to his question. "At first it was...but now it's not so bad I guess...could be worse. Though honestly between you, her, Zahara, and imps..." Piper just shook her head again.

The elf allowed his eyes to adjust to this new light, and frowned. It felt... Wrong. "Sunlight?" Sun... Oh, the thing of legends. "Artificial sunlight, a physical memory display?"
"So, If Malik dies, the timestream will rip. Pleasent. So, the drow women was simply being a b***h."
"Speaking of women, is this an all male school? I did not see any when I arrived, and I have heard a not so pleasent rumour about this place."

"Something like that. Over time though, it's taken on a bit of a mind of it's own. During the night, the light grows soft as if in twilight. Very nice during the night."
"Malik or Piper. At least, this is what my cousin tells me, and i take to heart what my cousin tells me."
"All male? Ah no, we have girls here." Odd question he supposed, that and he had forgotten about that tornament.
Owain approached them then, he didn't have any food with him, he had a note. "Sir, here is the readout on Eliot you asked for."
"Ah, thank you Owain."

"Actually..we were walking arm in arm when your father foudn us and told me I couldn't have her she was his."
A slight grin at that.
"So you could say yes, she did touch me. I take it her doign that is a really good thing to hear? or is that a bad thing?"

He was about to ask about the cousin when Owain spoke. Read out on Eliot, "Eliot... Do you experiment on humans here?" The elf asked with a rather skeptical tone, indicating that he was not overly pleaed to hear that Eliot had read outs in the form of a scientific paper.

Roarke frowned. "Experimentation? No, that is for the...darker side of the family." But then, he had wished Owain hadn't spoken out loud like that, he was collecting information for Eliot, so that he might help her find out how she becamse who she was. But that was a private matter. "Eliot is a dear friend of mine." He cast a glare at the retreating Owain. He tucked the paper away in his pocket. "I am assisting her as well."

"You do enjoy to help people, Roarke." The elf allowed his thoughts to cycle in his mind, a more emotionally driven person would probably not be in this situation, so he would continue with his questioning.
"You are currently Helping Eliot with one of her problems, and have done some experimentation or analysis to decern where the problem lies."
"Perhaps you can be of some assistance to me as well. Could you tell me what you believe truth to be?"

"They say it runs in the blood. The First Mage had one job, which was to fulfill every need of the First Oracle. This need he developed was passed to his kin, but since the First Oracle is dead, well," she shrugged, fairly certain the end of that sentence was obvious.
"Yes. Some experimentation. But living, or dead, people were not involved in said experiments." Only plants.
"Truth is not a lie." Perhaps not the type of answer Cedric was looking for.
Food was brought out, an assormtent of fruits and cheeses, as Roarke awlays liked to serve as a first course. Wine was also placed on the table.
"Truth is also perceptive."

"Indeed...she's his. And he's not afraid to express that point with a blade if need be." Late night stories when she would refuse to reverie. "And yes...it's always good if she touches...comes within two feet really. My mother has a philosophy that if you get too close or let someone close to you too early then you're already dead and just don't know it yet." A little shrug, every elf had a bit of paranoia to them now didn't they. But then a little smile and a laugh. "And of course she can't have you either, you're mine. Now if I could only get the rest of this place into peaceful ways for the time being..."

"Essential facts that are merely definitive in nature are always true as long as a common frame of reference is used to decern their meaning."
"But, in essence, what cannot be clearly defined can only be viewed as a lie because it lacks the capacity to be definded, which is why it is not truth."
"Since, we perceive definitive things as turth, only definitve things can be true. Leaving all else to be lie."
"Perceptive views can take the lie, and make it truth."
"Believing one story over another would be an example of perceptive truth would it not?"
"How fares Eliot at this moment?"

"Keep those imps out of my hair and Zahara's bitching away from me and I'll be peaceful as a lamb, I promise."
He picked upa pastry from the table, broke it in half, and handed part of it to her, incase she was hungry.
"and we'll have to get a planar portal established for that trade agreement. you were able to read it right?"
He of course still figured it woudl be i elven script he coudln't read. after all why write it in common if you knew there was someone there who coudl read elvish? and he kept her close, and smiled lightly. things were mostly going alright.

"Aye. So you are not seeking a specific 'truth' merely looking to define the concept of truth itself?" He looked up at the elf rather suspiciously. Why was he asking about Eliot? He grew somewhat weary, concerned for the little wolf-kin. "Eliot fares well, if I recall." He chewed a piece of apple. "Why are you suddenly interested in my freind?""

"I am not in the presence of many wizards, and when I am I am often disturbed by their lack of connection with people who are not wizards, they have a tendency to overlook the simple logic and thinking the beings who can not shape the universe use in order to live."
"Usually, my disappointment is heightened by their use of non-magical beings in their wicked experiments. I am merely exploring the possibility that you are trying to suduce me to twist at your leasure."
"Should I drink this wine, would I wake up in a form I do not recognize?" The elf took a cup and drank a gulp, "If I truly thought that, would I not wish you to have the wine tested before I consumed."
