Basically you paint up a single guardsman and send it someone on the list. Hurrah, that person has a brand new guardsman for his army. The model will not undergo any further journeys or customization.
I guess that criteria for this are that it is a guardsman, that it is codex legal and that it can be implemented into an army without much trouble.
@Mat: it might be prudent to state which types of model are good for this event. Just basic infantry squad troops or more than that?
I'm going to convert and paint up a pile of bodyguards (veterans with las pistol and ccw) for other people's HQs when I get to it.

working on the details. A bit like Sekret Santa only each person will send a member of their Regiment to each other person, or until cost becomes excessive
Having read both old and then looking at the new upcoming codex, I have decided that this will be after its release. The veterans sent will fit the war gear requirement of the new codex. Meaning they will have the minimum war gear modeled to them. That is not to say you cant model more just that at the bare minimum they have to have Lasgun or Shotgun and CCW. feel free to slap on extra knife grenades and anything else you want. If you want to do special or heavy weapons do so only with the approval of the gaining player. The ultimate goals is to have each player able to field a codex legal veteran squad made of the Guilds various regiments

Another note. Veterans from mine at least will be named. Each one will have his name and Original Regiment paint on the ring of the base. Possibly even my Screen name on the bottom just as a reminder of where it came from, least you get over zealous and paint the bugger.

Shinobi_8745 Bah! Promote some of them to officers then~ when I get the chance ill do up the program right and proper but for now the word is going to be if you want to send something non-standard you will need the approval of the recipient

If I'm to do anything I will say that I won't do standard troopers, and neither sergants... I have other stuff in mind which I actually think wouldn't be too unwanted by the people~ ;D
