Quils cast away his dour mood and smiled cheerfully. "Come on, I have something I'd like to give to you." he said, moving towards his clothes and searching the pockets, eyes widening as he found it. With a chuckle he turned to Jacob. "Got it. Let's head out." he anounced with his eyes closed and cheeks puffed.

"Have fun you two." Teresa said with a small little wave with the sticky hand before returning to her cooking.

Jacob was slightly curious yet at the same time a bit cautious at the fact the man wanted to give him something. Pushing back the long dark hair the boy moved around the dining table reopening the door stepping out into the world. The bright golden sunburst was beginning to dwindle down some leaving the gates of the universe to allow the Grandmother Moon to reign over. The skies becoming brilliant in colors as it was painted by oranges, violets, reds, and some greens. Jacob had hoped to one day to be able to paint a seen whenever he was in the proper mood for it that is. The sole of his boots patted lightly along the thick hard wooden branches of the tree. The boy holding up his hand in order to shade his eyes from the dwindling light.

Quils was barefoot now, enjoying the feel of the living home under his feet. From long use of his old weapon he became sensitive to the life force of everything. At first it overwhelmed him but soon he began to live with it, it became a part of him. Coming near artificial structures always left him feeling as if a part of him was missing. He followed Jacob, moving past him and opening the elevator. He stepped inside first, his stomache sinking a bit as it shook slightly. The choker he wore began to glimmer strangely as he fiddled with the item in his hand.

Jacob hated using that wooden elevator it wasn't known by many but the boy actually had a fear of heights it was amazing how he was able to live in a tree house with that fear. It was his way of trying to face his fear head on it was the ONLY reason why he kept himself to continue living under the same roof besides the point that he had no where else to go. Upon entering the unsettling elevator the boy made sure to at least have one hand holding onto the railing a way of keeping himself calm during the trip downwards. Usually he would have something else with him but the last time someone saw him with that item they had teased him about to the point where Jacob had actually thrown the child out the building window. He was still coping with his anger management problems but it was getting better though that was only because he was avoiding more then 98% of civilization. He knew that one day he would need to change that and begin to cope with the rest of the universe. A step in which he was not quite yet ready to take.

Quils examined Jacob and noted his slight hesitance to enter. He himself made no sign of this observation, looking down at the ground while still fiddling with the item he held. When the gate closed he turned to the young man and presented the gift. A bracelet that was identical to the choker he wore. "It comes from my native homeland." he said, smiling nervously. "Well thats what my dad told me. It's supposed to bring you good luck and it also can tell you where a person is, but only people who you hold dear. Thats how I am able to find Teresa and you. I might not know you very well but because your important to her, your important to me." he said, a sincere look on his face.

Jacob polity turned his head towards the man general direction as he started to speak. Catching sight of the bracelet thinking that such items were meant for women. The resemblance between the items were easily noted to the boy as he continued to stand there in the eerie silence. Reaching over hestiantly at first taking the bracelet between his thumb and forefinger holding onto it lightly. A shiver shifted through his entire arm as he felt the magic quality within the item react to the magic he usually works with. So...in a way this item was a family heirlom but curiousity grew of why the man would give it to him and not Teresa. After all those two knew one another far much longer and better than Jacob.

Though the boy might not speak there was always a way to tell how one felt or think you just had to find it on them. With Jacob it was always his eyes the boy had yet to learn how to mask his eyes he had only accomplished such with his face. They were a bit deep at the moment also distant the usual appearance eyes would have when the owner to them was in thought. Though his thoughts were running about the term of a family. Remembering back to the one he had before coming into Teresa's if you could call it a family at all. The life back then was in nothing but fear each day simply brought back the same old fears over and over. It was another subject in which Jacob was still dealing with before this moment Jacob would've never been able to stand so close to a man before. Before he would simply enclosed himself within his room for the evening.

Now, that he thought about it if this man was to truely wed Teresa that would make Quils his uncle. Interesting..Jacob never had an uncle before if he did he didn't know whom the person was. Slowly the boy rolled up the long sleeve of his dark blue shirt exposing his forearm before placing the bracelet around his small wrist. The sleeve sliding its way back down and over the bracelet. The boys miss matched eyes shifting back to the surrounding Wilderness. "....thanks...' was barely autible to the ears of others.

Quils folded his arms over his chest, waiting patiently for the device to halt. His eyes focsed at the ground. The contraption shook abruptly as it halted, causing him to stagger slightly. Without a second thought he opened the gate and stepped out. A wave of relief came over him as his feet touched the soft earth. The dirt between his toes making him smile. "Terra firma, the firmer the better." he said with a smile.

It was the studdering halt the reason Jacob held onto the railing so he would have equal balance during it. He waited for the man to step out before making his own leave of the wooden box. The same fountain of relief came over Jacob as well glad to be out of that wooden box allowing air to finally flow through him and around him. He should talk...he knew he should. But, the boy had no idea where to even start he was never good at conversations. The two were out here to know one another better but how to begin such a conversation was putting Jacob in a confused confrontation state.

Quils peered through the trees, catching a slight glimpse of the horizon. He smirked, turning his attention to Jacob now. "How have things been?" he asked, wanting to see what the boy had to say.

The last several months in fact had been highly busy for both Jacob and Teresa. He could still remember that night when Teresa came home with a stack of folders for the first time. It was akward to him at the time because Teresa wasn't the type to bring on home nor deal with paper work. It was something she utterly dispised and she had a tendency to make that very clear to anyone that tried to get her to do any. That was the night Jacob found out about the big changes that were about to take place within the grounds of Black Amber. Since that night only new things been set down upon Teresa making her highly busy to the point where she didn't even return home till well after three in the morning. It took about a single week of that to propt Jacob to help Teresa in any way possible. He was frequently down at the Smithery shop they run taking care of it. And also helping her with the many blue prints and such. Its been hectic...

"...tiring..." he said, understanding how that felt. But why would a young boy be so busy and tired. He realized there were things he didn't quite understand and probably never would, but that didn't mean he couldn't try. He began walking, steadily with sure footing. "I've been busy as well, but now all my business is taken care of. I was able to uncover my past and then I faced it, though it was quite painful." he said, rubbing his left arm which had a strange scar that circled around above his elbow.

Quils was always busy Jacob had become used of seeing the man only to expect him to be gone the next day or so. So it was no surprise that he was busy all those months but still. The man could've at least given his sister some sort of notice of it this time around. It was none of the boys business though that was between his sister and Quils. It seemed that Quils was able to accomplished something Jacob had yet to suceed at. His time to prevail would arrive eventually. The boy would come to sudden stop though several feet behind Quils.

"...What 'they' think?"

Quils sighed and turned around. It was hard to explain what they thought. He saw them only in a spiritual form, but their expressions were happy and friendly. "I believe they were proud of me and glad of what I found. Happiness, I came back to reclaim my happiness." he said, looking down at the earth. "Even now I feel them, pulsing through the earth. Can you? I picture it in my mind as colors. My mother as purple and my father brown."

"..Teresa hear....Jacob feel..' the boy answered before suddenly turning heading back to the elevator. Twenties was about to come ringing up and he was sure that neither of them wanted to eat Teresa's delicious meals cold. Placing himself in the same little corner he was in before holding onto the railing awaiting the man to come up into it as well. The boy was right in a way Teresa most likely could hear the man's parents since she was able to hear the plants and the Mother. As for Jacob the only way he was ever sure if some sort of spirit was running about would be the small sensations he got when one neared him. Usually he is only able to see them when they enter his dreams. He was a dream seerer of sorts.

Quils frowned as Jacob walked back to the elevator, sighing as he turned around and followed. He was quiet as he entered, closing the gate behind him and waiting patiently for the ascent to start. "I see."
