Sure, but only if you want to. I'm really not into social networking, and I have some misgivings toward the concept. I do have a LinkedIn account, but that's only b/c I'm trying to get a job.
Wow, glad you got to go to a lot of goof and fun places to eat while there. Stilton cheese does sound interesting from the Wikipedia article.

*shrugs* I can only counter that with "Aren't we social networking now?" Either way, I won't force the issue. Linkedin is also among my social endeavors- though it doesn't do me a whole hell of a lot of good.
Yeah, we had some good times, but I doubt I'll be eating Stilton Cheese again anytime soon. It wasn't repugnant but wow . . . that is a pungent taste that I won't miss. eek
Yeah, it's good to be home.

I see forums more as social interaction. I actually know and communicate meaningfully w/ people on here. On things like FB and Twitter, there's a lot of "friending just to not be rude" and "here's what I'm doing every minute of the day", which I simply don't have the time or energy for. If you want to connect via LinkedIn, you'll have to link me to your profile or find me by my real name; there are too many people w/ your name for my searching to be fruitful.
Oh, so it's a strong cheese. It sounds almost like an English version of Limburger w/ how strong you make it sound.

I've never had limburger, so I cannot be 100% sure. sweatdrop
Meh, potato, potahto. As for Facebook, i don't do that kind of shite, and you are right with most people. For my money, I see two types of people for the friends thing. One group is as you describe, going for quantity over quality. I am among the other side with the inverse. Still, I cannot blame you for wanting to back off and be sure.

I've not had Limburger, either. It's apparently a very rare cheese outside Germany nowadays. I believe the US has only a place that still makes it.
Oh, no, I wasn't accusing you of being like that at all. I would have no problem using it to keep up w/ people I want to stay in touch w/, like you. The problem is all of the people who would find me there that I wouldn't want to be rude to but would much rather avoid.
Thanks for sharing the pics! The food looks delicious, the area looks nice and scenic, and you seem to be having a good time in those photos. The only Rainforest Cafe in my area closed sometime during my college years. I went there once or twice way back; it was a nice place to experience but too loud to have much dinner conversation.

Oh, I took no insinuation. Just my take on the friend collectors vs actual ties to people on the list. And I can understand about not wanting to go into the pit of facebook. I know there have been a few I've tried to avoid.
yeah, there was a lot of fun and interesting things to see, but not much to do. So, we were there just about long enough. Saw what we were interested in, ate a lot of nummy foods, and then got the hell out of there. The only negative memory I have of this trip was the lack of amenities in the Hilton. As for the Rainforest, it wasn't so bad. I kinda expected more interaction with the 'animals' around the place. Yes, we had some storm effects, and the occasional primate action from one wall, but it was rather tame on effects.

I'm glad your Rain Forest Cafe experience was decent. Perhaps the one near me was set to too loud.
I do love classical music and instruments. Thanks for sharing that; it was good. I know of some group that used cellos to sound like electric guitars and drums; I believe they were from Europe.

I was surprised by them, and really enjoyed the rendition. When I checked out their youtube channel, they had a lot of AC/DC covers, and a few others. Kinda wish they did more of them.
