Thard_Verad "Ah. I was just saying that I've already reviewed the mission, and I know what grade I would give it. Since we're practically on the topic already, can you tell me what Barboach's types are?" I twirl my grading pen around my fingers and wait for Agent to get back. "Oh. I think I get your point. And I did forget his secondary type and that was my fault. I can fix that after I get my first grading from Agent. Thanks for bringing that to my attention," Berg said with a smile.

Psychotech Mission: A Planner for a Scanner Any Team Aqua member is asked to go to the Abandoned Ship and get the scanner. The scanner should be near the back of the ship, but some of the passageways may be flooded. Pokémon: Magikarp Wailmer Barboach Feebas Funds upon completion: 400 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Key:Crunch- Totodile Spaz- Plusle Jolie- Minun Torch- Torchic From Slateport City is where Berg started this adventure; he called out Crunch so that he could help him travel the water. He was wearing a wet suit over his uniform so that he wasn’t wet the whole adventure. Crunch was surprisingly agile even with Berg holding on to him.
The Abandoned Ship was in sight but it was still a good bit away. Berg complimented his Pokémon, “Good job Crush, we’ll be there in no time at all.”
Unfortunately before the two could reach the ship, a pair of Pokémon attacked. A Wailmer and a Barboach blew Berg and Crunch further back into the water with a great blast of water. After stabilizing himself, Berg swam to an area that he was able to stand waist-deep in and he called out Spaz to land on Crunch. The two would have to swim together and attack together in order to win this battle.
Luckily Berg had done a little practice for a situation similar to this; he thrust his arm out and his Pokémon went forth. Crunch cruised through the water in the direction of Barboach and Spaz used Spark on him. Barboach was badly injured and retreated behind Wailmer and Wailmer responded in an angry counter attack. A Whirlpool attack sucked the two in; Spaz was flung from Crunch and sent into the middle of the spinning water. Crunch retrieved him as quickly as he could and the team regained form. The Wailmer was blocking any possible attack from reaching the injured Barboach. Berg decided it would have to be defeated before anything else could be accomplished; fortunately, an opening was revealed.
Wailmer began to charge in for a Rollout leaving Barboach open for an attack. Crunch took the opportunity. Crunch charged in and took the blow from the Wailmer, but Spaz leaped off and over for a final Spark to faint the wild Barboach. Berg returned Spaz and called out Jolie into the watery battle field; there was no use in leaving Spaz out defenseless in the water. Wailmer was now even more furious and charged in for another more powerful Rollout. Water flung from him as he spun toward the pair once more. Berg ordered another combo attack. Crunch used a Water Gun in order to slow Wailmer’s attack and Jolie responded with a Spark into the Water Gun to damage the large Pokémon. Wailmer’s attack was slowed tremendously and he was hurt by the electricity, but the attack was nowhere near enough to stop him. The attack only managed to hit Jolie full on, but barely skimmed Crunch, hardly injuring him. Jolie flew back into Berg’s arms, knocking him slightly back. He picked him and his Pokémon up and threw Jolie back onto Crunch.
“Crunch, Ice Fang and Jolie, Quick Attack.”
Due to Jolie’s superior speed, Wailmer was hit and knocked slightly off guard; next, Crunch’s attack connected, hoping to result in a frozen whale. To no avail, the attack connected, but the effect was not successful. Wailmer was now injured and still upset. Berg could only assume that he had come into this Wailmer’s territory, upsetting him and after defeating his partner, he was only further twinged.
The enemy Wailmer was still not ready to surrender and attempted another Rollout. This time the attack was unsuccessful and missed. Jolie used Helping Hand in hopes to increase the attack power of Crunch’s next attack enough to wipe out the large Pokémon. Range was needed in order to defeat Wailmer; up close he was too dangerous. Crunch used Water Gun and hardly affected Wailmer; Wailmer in return used a very large Water Pulse, confusing Crunch and injuring Jolie. The confused Crunch flailed about, throwing Jolie’s aim off; she needed concentration in order to make this next blow the last. She jumped into the air, aimed, and shot off a Spark attack. It connected with Wailmer and fainted the large Pokémon. Berg withdrew his Pokémon and after congratulating them on a job well done.
Berg rested for a few minutes before releasing Crunch back into the water and having him pull him to the Abandoned Ship.
After arriving, Berg climbed aboard and made his way to the back of the ship; this is where he was supposed to find the lost Scanner. He continued on with Crunch right behind him. Berg had to break some fallen boards and rotten wood in order to reach the back area. Berg was confused though; there were no rooms for him to look in and find the scanner. The only thing that he could see was a hole in the floor board that was flooded with water. Berg dived in and had Crunch swim them through an underwater passageway. Being underwater and beginning to run short on breathe, Berg got an idea of a transformation to add to his Scanner. Berg and Crunch passed several Magikarp who only stared at them blankly and swam passed them.
Suddenly, Crunch’s speed increased greatly and the next thing Berg could see was that they had broken through the wood above them and had landed onto wet and creaky wood. Berg looked over to see an agitated Crunch having a Magikarp connected to his tail. Eventually the Magikarp released and fell flapping onto the wood.
“Haha, sucks without water dunnit’?” Berg remarked.
Berg sent out Spaz and decided he’d catch the Magikarp in hopes of having the patience to get his evolved form. Assuming it to be a quick and easy battle, Berg sent Spaz in for a Quick Attack. The Magikarp’s response was an annoying Splash. Spaz repeated only to be surprised by a counter attack. The Magikarp used a very weak Tackle attack. It had little momentum so the damage was hardly anything to be worried about. Berg smiled; he found a slightly skilled Magikarp. He attacked once more with a Quick Attack and watched the failed Splash from his opponent.
Berg sent out a Pokeball hoping Magikarp was weak enough to catch. The ball absorbed the orange fish with a red glaze and it wobbled only a few times before Berg heard the DING! Instantly the Pokeball opened though to reveal the flailing Magikarp. Berg was confused and grabbed the Magikarp’s Pokeball once more. He withdrew the Pokemon, put it in his backpack, scratched his head, and moved on to a room in front of him. It seemed like a storage room of some sort and was surprisingly large. Berg called out all of his Pokemon to help him search for the scanner as he thought it would be in this room.
After a half hour or so, Torch ran up to Berg with a small red device in its wings and exclaimed, “Tor! Torcheee!” The little guy found the scanner. Berg happily rewarded the little tough guy with a compliment, “Good job. I was confident that you would be the one to find it.”
Torch shrugged off the compliment and returned to his ball with no further interaction. Berg recalled the rest of his Pokemon other than Crunch and looked around for a quick exit. Berg saw a port hole back in the hallway and looked out through it to see the ocean. He ordered a Water Gun to break down the withered and rotted boards. They splintered and opened up the inside of the ship to the ocean breeze and salt water air. Berg exited and had Crunch bring him back to Slateport so he could return to base.Overview:PD Used: None Items Used: Pokeball xo1 Items Found: None Pokémon Captured: Male MagikarpBattles:Totodile: 1 Plusle: 2 Minun: 1 ~Heads over to Berg and Thard~"Ok, Berg, I can't pass this mission as of yet because I caught a few things. The story line is great, beef it up just a tad bit, like how did you find out about the scanner. Now The double battle was good but two things. The first is that Spark is an electrified tackle so when it was used with totodile, your pokemon would have felt it. The second would be, barboach is Water/Ground so Spark wouldn't do anything to it. Other than that I can't find anything else."

Plus, there's a good opportunity for Torchic to get an Evo point if Berg is interested. It doesn't have to battle, but if you can use its powers creatively for something, it can still count as a point. I think the storyline is just fine for a lv 1 mission and the only reason to beef it up would be for Torchic's sake. In the future, when grading missions, it's preferable to trim it down to the Brief (and possibly the overview, but I chose not to in this case). Requoting the entire mission is a waste of photons. Photons don't grow on trees, ya know! razz

"What's that boy? You found an upgrade for yourself on the internet?" Ginji asked as Porygon2 started squirming around as he held up a Dubious Disk and a Mystery Stone. "So...as last time you bricked yourself, how about this time we get the approval password from Thard first?" The boy asked as he spun the disk on his fingers.

Ginji turns to Neteru. "And I would like to point out that anyone can write a news article. Seriously. I know a TRP has happened in the last week, so may as well document it." Ginji sighed as he juggles the Mystery Stone.

Thard_Verad Glancing over at Ginji and his Pokemon, I hold up one sword and say, "I dub thee Sir Pory of Zed." With a fluid motion, Ginji inserts the disk and the Mystery Stone into Porygon2's infrared scanner, the same deal happened as before as a password field popped up on a green LCD screen suspended by magnetic waves. The password field promptly disappeared and was replaced by a fury of data packets including numbers and odd characters in binary. As the character list got longer and longer, the green LCD screen slowly grew to a bright white. This white then exploded in a burst of bright light that was not even able to be blocked by any sort of sunglasses, though the effect was dimmed by them. As the light faded, a black and red Porygon-Z fluttered around HQ, taking in the new angle of excitement. "Haha. Good one boy." Ginji smiled as his Pokemon looked around at everything curiously.

*Wasn't looking at the evolution. Instead was focused on a note* Thard To Berg: You do not yet have Magikarp. The mission didn't pass. As always you can make edits and resubmit, but until then we're not adding Magikarp to the list. However, your other two can be added. I will point out once again that Larvitar shouldn't be available to Tier 5 members on a TRP, but that was several days ago and there's no point making you give it up now. Thard To Arekku: The shop keeper was looking for you. Something about underpaying?
