Nem: redface I did nothing but getting captured and playing Chris, though. Bren and Nye and the rest of the rescue team did the rest. (I loved how it totally messed Nedy's mental health up, though whee I like being sadistic to that little woman sometimes.)

Well, unless I'm mistaken, almost every young person on the planet believes that. But if she steps foot on that island with no one to protect her, I almost guarantee that the Draconians will test that belief . . . .

Maybe not cut it off, but they have several dozen priests, who basically double as highly-skilled magic users, to counter it. They have to be good, in fact. As I mentioned in the History, they have weathered the attacks of many nations over the centuries, and some of them relied heavily on magic. On top of that, no matter what some may think, even magic falters occasionally against the sheer power of the Draconians . . . .

Yep, probably because they would know it's not a real cat. Even if she can change her form, her scent remains the same, and Draconians have a powerful sense of smell . . . .

Edit:
Problem is, of course - how do you explain the presence of a cat on an inhabited island, when said cat definitely is not a stray?
