Halco turned back to dusk "i know it's hard to hear, but this is the reason i dont want you biting humans, this is exactly the reason i act the way i do about being around humans, i've watched several change in my past, i myself have changed a few on accident, because i didn't have help, but most of them died rather quickly." he turned back to cyrus "this is for you to hear as well." he turned once more to dusk "they don't always survive the change, for some it is to much, so they are doomed to die mid change, they dont even get to know what they died as, human or vampire, and knowing that vampires go nowhere when they die, i like to think that effect doesn't take hold until full change, but i don't know that either." he sighed "cyrus here has made his choice, and despite his actions and words, i intend to do my best to help him, please, go get some blood, the thirst kicks in almost before everything else."

Cyrus watched and listened as the boy spoke, he really didn't know what else to say anyway, but he did make sure to understand he might not live, he wanted to be mental prepared if possible, just in-case. however hard it was to think through all the pain, he managed to do it, it helped him to keep his mind off it.

Cyrus grunted in pain still clutching the side of his neck "so this is how i 'die' i always figured it would be on the job, i knew what could happen going into my line of work, i was prepared to die if the time ever came, if it meant saving lives, i'd do it...but i wasn't prepared for this, guess i get to resist taking lives from now on, instead of saving them."

Halco looked away as Cyrus spoke, it reminded him of all the bad that came with being what he was, leaving out any of the good. he looked to Cyrus "i will be right back." he walked into the kitchen after dusk, closing the door behind him. "Dusk i'm sorry i said all that the way i did, i didn't mean it the way it sounded, i just wanted to get a point across, but anyway i need to say something to you in private, when he does change i'm going to need you to use your illusion powers on him if he doesn't listen like i think he wont, almost no one can keep a straight head afterwards, if he starts to lose control, try to make it so he cant see any doors or windows to the outside, and try to do the same with doors leading towards large gathers of people in the manor, of coarse all this is just in case he does lose it, as long as we keep him away from large groups and especially humans he should calm back down enough to retake control"

Dusk blinked slightly when she heard Halco coming into the kitchen behind her. "It's fine" she said quickly "The way things are i doubt we have much time to be choosy on what we say." still even with that logic in her mind that didn't change the fact it did hurt a bit. Listening to his request about her illusions she only gave a light nod as she raided the fridge for a few bottles of blood. "Can do" she finally answered, kicking the fridge closed as she turned only to lightly bump her hip against Halco's as she moved back towards the main hall

Charlotte lay back in bed, doing her best to keep her breathing steadily paced, sweat now drenching her brow. The baby... babies she mentally corrected, were coming. Even when Marcus spoke and draped the wet cloth over her forehead she found it hard enough to focus on her breaths and contractions let alone the other, but a light wave of panic set in when he was gone, leaving her to hope for a quick return.

Charlotte clenched Marcus' hand in her own, feeling a little agitated when he told her to take a deep breath, but that very well may have just been the panic and stress with the situation, still she couldn't help but snap at him a little when he shushed her "Not like the babies are going to wait just because you do that" she hissed through clenched teeth. This was going to be a long night.

"That is good to hear. Come, I will show you to a room now and you can get antiquated with your new surroundings." Said Athuam as he started out of the kitchen and towards the stairs.

Shadow had to actually think for a moment on this one. Could she change his mind for more? That sounded more like a test than anything else. "Maybe you could? You would just have to try and find out my dear."

Kashan nodded, "Towards the gardens it is then my dear." Said Kashan. He swore that he could hear the creeks and cracks of his own bones and they remembered their purpose but it may have just been his mind playing tricks on him. It would be good to see the gardens once again now that he was mostly recovered for his past exploit.

Sajuuk's eyes barely left the book as he heard Rose speak. "New year?" He was never much into this new year stuff. It was a very mortal thing in his eyes to celebrate the changing of the years "Yes, new beginnings and all of that fun stuff." he said. one eye focused on Rose with the rest of his attention Watching Skadi go about her business.

"I mark the years but no reason to celebrate such a thing." Said Sajuuk as his eyes fell back to the book. He was taking his time with this one. "There is much interesting with this book. Very informative." Said Sajuuk. He was just trying to quietly kill some time while Skadi grew up and he had taken all of these books from her temple so it was best to at least figure out what might be in them. "I have never been one for human traditions. besides, I just shook of a life time of traditions and you think I should follow more?" Said Sajuuk, he was joking... slightly. "Told you that she would grow up fast."

"To an eternal being there is little real reason to celebrate such things. We have seen the world pass and change a thousand times over. best to celebrate when something truly amazing happens rather than an arbitrary date." Said Sajuuk, speaking from a pure immortal view of things. When you have lived for too long, celebrating a shift in date, a slight change in number or anything of the sort is basically pointless. Everything loses it magic when you live forever. "Maybe we can once he is gone. A lot of things can start once that thing is gone for good."

Sajuuk chuckled a little, "Wait another thousand or so years before you comment completely Rose. You are still young and have a sort of human out look on things. I on the other hand do not. I have lived far to long to celebrate something so pointless as the changing of a date every year for how many millennia we might exist for." Said Sajuuk. being brought up in a culture that changes very little over incredibly long periods of time tends to bring about this point of view. "Magic is where you find it not from arbitrary dates Rose. That is the point we speak. Does not matter about the changing of the days or years, it is always there." Said Sajuuk.
