Cerbi's face changed as she watch Kyo. "I'm sorry! I didnt mean to make you all sad," she appologized, looking at Kyo with an equally as appologetic face.
Perhaps she should keep her mouth shut from now on... like that would ever happen. To try lift the mood, she turned to Kenjirou. "Hey, old man," that was her nickname for him. It was serious and she didnt mean any disrespect by it, she was just joking around. "Are you any better than Kyo and I in the romance compartment? I bet not..." she grinned.

Kyo immediately turned a slight pink at her second comment, he never tried to let what happened bother him. Maybe he would have something else to strive for in the near future and that'd be fine for him. He smiled lightly and wondered what Kenjirou had to say about his past and lovelife as he glanced over at Cerbi and turned a slightly darker pink.

Kenjirou did not let the mention of his past ruin his mood, he had already let it do so before. It was just a story now. It had helped shape him into who he is, though, he would not lie about his answer.
"To kill my father. And, as you know, I did so."
Kenjirou, despite the awkwardness of the second question, replied just as simply and truthfully as he had with the first question.
"I feel at the present time a woman in my life would simply distract me from performing my duties to Konoha. Perhaps someday in the future, for now, I have no interest."
Kenjirous simple answers were not meant to be blunt nor rude. They were simply the truth.

Cerbi nodded to Kenjirou's answer, but swore she saw Kyo blushing in the corner of her eye, but just shook it off as nothing.
"So we're all single, non-romantic people! Let's go celebrate our singleness with a round of sake or something!" she grinned mischeiviously, half joking.

"That would not speak well of you, Cerbi. You must set an example for us all."
It was at this point Kenjirou had to put out his opinion. Cerbi had given him permission to do so, and in alot of ways, Kenjirou felt as if he were the retainer to a lord, who in this case, was Cerbi. He was loyal to Cerbi as he could be, but part of loyalty was not simply letting someone in a position of power make foolish decisions.

She pouted and grumbled something about old men. But that didnt deter her. "We need to do SOMETHING though," she replied, exasporated. Doing paperwork could almost beat standing around here aimlessly.
But then she thought about the Christmas party and shook her head. "I guess I should be busy. I need to start planning the Sakura festival along with the chuunins and the genins exams," she laughed slightly, but secretly she couldnt wait till theSakura festival. She was kind of hoping someone to ask her to go with them, but who... she blushed slightly.

Kyo wrinkled his nose lightly at Kenjirou's response.
"Eh lighten up Samurai-kun, You live but one life, you should try and make the most out of it while you can."
He smirked lightly trying to think of how to get around the fact Cerbi was hokage, and to the point she's still young and should be able to enjoy herself for what time she gets to.

"If you still wish to swim, there is a lake in the forest where I practice. Again, Cerbi, as Hokage you have many duties that take precedence over such things as drinking."
Kenjirou had been serving the Hokage for at least 30 years of his life. His view on such things as drinking were nothing but negative most of the time. While Kenjirou cared a great deal for Cerbi, he cared enough to ensure she did her job well. Kenjirou did however understand, that in this fleeting world, one should have some form of enjoyment.
"Besides. If it is your wish, later, I will find some Sake better than the low quality trash here in local bars. And bring it to you when the days work is done."
Kenjirou heard Kyos comment, but did not take it with distaste. As Kenjirou had read in Hagakure: "One should always accept the opinions of others and take their advice gratefully, even if it be foolish." Keeping this in mind, and not finding Kyos advice foolish, Kenjirou simply nodded to Kyo and replied
"I will keep that in mind."

Cerbi nodded, but had a small grin on her face. She sould be sure to hold Kenjirou to that second last last statement. "Alright then, let's go the lake then!" she replied, hooking her arms with the two guys again and starting to head towards the Konoha forest.
"Just so you know sir, I have no idea where I am going," she said, laughing slightly.

"I'll lead the way."
Kenjirou replied. While he felt she should be doing her work, he understood that there was no force in nature that could possibly tie down the free spirit inside of her. As long as she got it done without delaying everyone and causing trouble, and did it well, that was what really mattered. Besides, he'd rather she swim than get completely plastered in public.
Kenjirou began leading the trio through the city, down the streets, every now and then returning a nod or two to people who offered him the respect.
Soon, the three would be heading towards the city gates, and out into the nearby forest...

Listening to the words of wisdom his sensei bestow upon him, Arashi smiled and stayed silent for a few moment. His eyes were focus on hers as his hands located over the table stayed still with the middle finger of his right hand moving up and down as it strikes the wooden table with care. The question was hard to answer, specially for someone with no memories of the past. Wondering how to answer he decides to tell her the truth. I do not remember my past... for a person like I any mission is acceptable any training is acceptable as long as they guide me to have a future...or an honorable death if that is what fate holds for me." His crystal blue eyes move to look at the table as his finger stops moving. "Test my strength master...not as something needed for future training but as something that needs to be done for the current me !" He spoke in a higher tone, filled with both anger and excitement he awaited a positive answer.

She nodded, happy with his response. "Well, it is what it is. I suppose we'll have to discover your talents for ourselves. And there's only one way to do that." She finished up the last of her ramen. "Come." She placed the proper amount of money on the table, and motioned for him to follow her. Her mind raced to think of proper ways that she could test him without putting him in too much danger. D-ranked missions wouldn't help at all. And she was hesitant to place him in a higher ranked mission. But...she would be there to help, would she not? She shook her head slightly, pausing outside to let him catch up. There was always the option of testing him herself. Then she could truly get a feel for how well he responded. A small grin tugged at the corner of her mouth. Perhaps that way would be best, after all.

((Another outside of the timeline sort of training.))
Today, Kenjirou had a new way of exercise. It was a bit orthodox, but to depart effort from normality was to make oneself normal in the extraordinary. Kenjirou stretched out a bit, standing on the porch of his small apartment near the Hokages office. He took off his Hoari, but carried his sword at his side. He was traveling light today. His final preparation was to take a small cord and tie his hair back in a long pony tail, to make sure his hair woulden't get in his eyes.
And he was off. Kenjirou started from his house at a steady jog, not wanting to waste his energy. To learn to conserve it, and to build his vitality, was the purpose of todays run. He was going to run all around Konohagakure No Sato and the surrounding area.
It was going to be a long, long run...
