Jak grabbed her hand as she moved to walk away, raw need warring with pain as he looked at her for the first time. "Is it so easy to say the words then walk away? Or are they just that...words with no meaning?"

Lacuna felt sparks release themselves from her fingertips with the question that Jakkin raised.
"No meaning? No ******** MEANING?", she felt her heart drop and pulled her hand from Jakkin. "How dare you even begin to..", Lacuna kicked a chair that was near by.

Jak shoved up from the chair to face her, anger dripping from every pore. "How dare I? I dare when you said those same words to Suru. How can I believe they mean any more when you say them to me...you stand here telling me you didnt mean them with him!"

It hurt me so much to even think it, so I LIED to Suru to be with you, not that it matters because he feels the SAME!!!", Lacuna felt a blue aura surround her from her emotional state, something told her this wasn't going to be pretty.

His eyes flashing, he slammed his fist on the table. "You lying b***h! You lie to yourself most of all...it wasnt me Suru wanted...it never was. Have you even told him the truth? Or are you leaving me to clean up your mess?"

I LO.." and before she completed her sentence she felt a burst of wind release itself and her body fly back into a wall. Lacuna laid still as she hit the floor, motionless.

Jak made his way back to the bar, ignoring the still figure lying against the wall. Pouring himself a drink, he tossed it back in one gulp before speaking, his voice cold. "LOVE? You dont know the meaning of the word."

Jak tossed back another drink, a twinge of guilt forcing his gaze to the still form. "Laci? Angel?"

Lacuna opened her palm and felt the floor beneath her and remained silent, Lacuna tried as hard as she could to position herself, but found herself oddly too weak to do or say.. anything.

Jak shifted to the still form, lifting her gently to lay her on a couch. He brushed her hair softly from her face, all anger dissipated as he gazed down at her.
"What have we done angel? To you...to each other..."

Lacuna felt a tear stream down her cheek hearing Jakkin's voice, she still continued to remain silent, holding her hands close to her face as if trying to hide her shame.

Jak pulled her hands down, his palm brushing her tears away. A deep sadness filled him as he met her gaze. "I was wrong to think I could have you both...terribly wrong."
Leaning down, he kissed her softly. His eyes were dark with regret as he rose. "Talk to Suru love...you owe him that."

Wrapping arms around her, he rested his cheek on her hair. "So am I dear heart....so am I..."
He released her, walking slowly to the door. "Make it soon...for all our sakes..." He slipped out the door, leaning against the outside wall a moment to steady himself before dissappearing into the dark night.
