Ҝѻjῐrѻ Ίʐɑѻyѻῐ═━┈...The Border of Dreams┈━═The Fallen Phoenix 【╳】 xxxxxxxxxxxx㊌ The Frozen Owl....㊌ ╔═══════ Kojiro shook his head,"Believe what you want...I am done trying to prove...anything...my intentions have been made clear!" Kojiro was already focused on this battle, fewer and fewer words will be slipping from the boy's frozen lips. Kojiro coughed slightly,"...That is a lie..." Kojiro subdued even entertaining the possibility he had been lied to...mislead...even when he swore never to follow a path....could he have been wrong? Kojiro focused back into the battle. Kojiro was not wasting any time, watching the Man counter his moves, he needed something stronger, he needed to muster everything he could in this fight. If the Fire user was not going to let him through, he would obliterate the target....to nothing but another mark on his bloodstained hands. The spires ripped through anything in their path and began destroying everything, Kojiro's deranged whirlwind of fear and rage was now embodied in the nightmarish chaos that was the ice around him. Kojiro's eyes once again leveled at the Fire user, "...I am done speaking....It is what it is...I will show you...I have a free will...this horrid world no longer grasps me!..." He growled.
Kojiro was but a tattered mess according to Daryle, but he also gave him another idea, Kojiro once again assumed control of the Werewolf, its floating limb was severed, quickly Kojiro repaired it to normal proportions again, quickly using its newly repaired arm to grab the dragon. Kojiro could feel the flames as the serpent moved in to strike Kojiro's frozen shadow. Ignoring the embers that lit his features. Kojiro crouched and then motioned forward. The Werewolf exaggerating the motion, lurched forward and slammed into the building with the Dragon, Kojiro quickly motioned the arm to grab a slab of concrete, slamming it against the Dragon's body and its own, the ice was becoming warped by the flames, but the ice was also beginning to influence the fire. As the two titans continued to fight, Kojiro turned his attention to The fire user's separate attack, Once again Kojiro left the Werewolf to act on its own accord,"Break!" he called out, Kojiro watched both horses closely, before they got too close, Kojiro reared back , one of the spires shuddered and broke, it was about the size of a small car, but looked like a slug from a tank. Kojiro had rarely ever controlled this amount of ice at once, but he needed to hide the fact he was already getting tired. Instead, to discourage any hint to his fleeting stamina, Kojiro launched another slug as well. Completely forgetting his original threat intended to fire another blizzard at the wolves....
....Too late.
Kojiro yelped in pain as the fangs once again dug into his body. This time it was different, There was a violent hissing emitting from Kojiro's body. Kojiro noticed he did not immediately feel the pain from the heated teeth. Despite that, Kojiro was still in searing pain, He struggled to get them off of him, unable to stand the heat they were generating. Kojiro did not want to go down again, but he would not be able to handle this much more punishment. He needed a plan.
....Get...it off...please....
Kojiro then had an idea, they were composed of....In almost a blink of an eye, Kojiro created an air tight shield, encasing all of them in it, including himself, Kojiro flailed until the wolves were no longer there but the burns and marks were. The Werewolf let out a berserk roar as it endured the disks cutting through all the while fighting the Draogon. Kojiro opened his palm as the Creature suddenly shattered, sending giant pieces of shrapnel into the buildings walls, causing some to crumble. Kojiro struggled to catch his breath as his defense backfired. Kojiro got to his feet and pointed both palms outward at his sides.
"...Winter's Gentle Executor...Lullaby of the Yuki-onna..."The snow on the ground whirled to life and the shield shattered into powder, both remainined suspended in the air, despite the light nature of snow, this too was draining him due to the volume that created a floating veil around Daryle.
Kagome kagome, kago no naka no tori wa...
Several shadows appeared around Daryle in the Haze.
Itsu itsu deyaru? Yoake no ban ni....
Suddenly frozen knives and swords began whizzing past Daryle and darting in random directions.
Tsuru to kame ga subetta...
The Shadows then began spinning rapidly in a circle, with all the weapons still on their random path.
Ushiro no shoumen daare? Kojiro then took his chance as all of the shadows stopped, and all of them turned to strike. Kojiro gripped his weapon along with the decoys in the haze. The one directly in front of Daryle was holding a katana, the one to his left a pair of knives, to his right a scythe, and the one behind was holding a Lance. other shadows seemed to be coming holding no weapons, they came in random directions. Kojiro kept true to strike,"...I'm not going to lose...I will get to Raven...even if I have to give everything I have left...and die trying!"

Roulin reveled in his heightened vision counting each moment with it as a blessing. With it, he could see Che being pestered by Cerberus, Thomas strolling confidently and cocksure towards Kate and Acelyn and Raven who'd just lost her footing within the fissure that had just opened thanks to the Life Owl. If he so chose to, he could see the adrenaline pumping through her small, bruised body. As of right now, his attention was mainly on the French blonde that destroyed the small car he leaped from before firing his lavender hued beam of concentrated energy. Behind him, the car smashed into the nearby store bursting into flames only moments after flipping through the glass through which many used to windowshop. Chips of burning crystal shot out at him and some even burned his neck producing a nice biting sensation that reminded him of mortality. Even with so many powers, he was still capable of being hurt. Only Lucien and herself were capable of bringing that thought into his head.
Through the bright flash of the explosion behind him and the somewhat shining light that was Raven with his activated Heart of Life driving, Roulin could barely make out that his opponent was jarred, then hit by his attack. Her shoulder was nicely knicked by his attack. It left a superficial wound that was deep enough to bring a good amount of pain, but shallow enough to have nothing vital such a bone damaged. "Better than to be annoying than dead, Catherine." A grin arrived on the lips of the Owl of Grey after he make a quick quip in retaliation to Raven's. There weren't many opponents who fought him two separate fronts; The verbal and the physical front. The former blonde was a sport and Roulin, though battered and bruised by the deadly, shockwave emitting minx, had only respect for that aspect of her. That...competitive facet shared by himself and many others. All the while his purple eyes cast thoughtful gazes upon her, he realized it was that lust of battle, that desire for competition is what was keeping her alive all this time. Or maybe she was simply too strong an Owl to kill as easily...
"There were band-aids in the store behind me, but you blew that to hell with that car," said Roulin as he released a subtle, baited breath during his only moment of peace. There was no time to rejoice or even inhale now and until Raven was dead and six feet beneath the gravel on which they stood, there wouldn't be. The pallid haired terrorist had released another grounded shockwave in his direction. The attack, as the rest of them had done similarly, tore through the ground, unzipping a fissure as a shark's fin would part waters as it swam towards it's prey. Rather than avoid it altogether, Roulin grinned across the snowy, upturned street at Raven, the smiled widely allowing his white and crimson-spotted teeth to shine through. As the peak of the fissure neared him, he stared at it with calm, but not indifferent eyes.
No, instead his eyes were still, dark brown and cracking like the hard surface of a desert flat. His skin quickly began to chip and break off allowing sand to pour in torrents from the lacerations and wounds. Before long, his entire being was that of sand. Billions of grains of sand in just seconds. The peak was now beneath him, but his state allowed his legs to extend along with the opening below. As the shockwave did more damage to the building behind him, Roulin, now as a massive cloud of sand, took off at Raven. The purple eyed elementalist understood that in this form, there was little that could be done to him if no form of heat or wetness was involved. That meant that this was his trump card against Raven unless she fired another heated shockwave. The Owl of Life had no intentions of letting her bide that much time anyway. Needless to say, the woman's options were severely limited because of this and Roulin, usually the combantant...the man to fight on equal terms, had no qualms. As fun as it all was and had been, Raven, the leader of The Fallen Phoenix, now had to die.
~~~
If Che didn't believe he was in some kind of trance, there was no way he could deny it now. It struck him as slightly peculiar that there was his mentor's gargantuan pet in his dream state though. Weak still from the loss of his friend and the resulting gap that was formed because of it, the man could only bring himself to lift a hand to pat the dog's chin. His hand burned more and more as it wafted in the monster's huffs and puffs, but sensation was as dull as his mind was at the moment. To him, it was like sticking his hand into an aquarium filled with pop rocks or something of the like.
The dazed Owl was shaken like a Bond drink while hanging from the maw of the beast, Cerberus. Che hadn't a clue of what was going on thanks to his mind still being partly out of it. The caustic breaths that billowed from the animal's nostril did assist in bringing him back to reality bit by bit. Now, the elder Presidiomni could see the floor beneath him as hardwood and not as a waving sea of dark brown liquid. "Oh Cerb..." said the Che in a tired, beaten voice. "Cerbs...what're you doing dog? Put me down..."
((Cerbachu))
Cerbs snorted as he heard Che say something. "Mrpmh." Nope, the hellhound wasn't going to let Che down until he was more awake, and Che's tired beaten voice wasn't much of an assurance to Che's mentor's giant hound. The head holding the Mastering Owl lowered toward the hardwood floor, but then the hound jerked its head up suddenly in another attempt to wake Che up. Cerberus's opinion of Che was very much like Will's right now; the Presidiomni student was a lame lazy bum, and his reaction time was way too slow.
But Cerbs was a good dog and slowly placed Che down on the floor with a loud thump, dropping him only about five feet. The dog then leaned in again and licked Che's face once, twice, and then withdrew...waiting to paw poke Che again if he didn't response faster.
((TFP---Raven))
The French Terrorist narrowed her eyes as she watched her last attack rip up the ground in full charge towards Roulin. It was irritating her that the Italian man was not making any move to dodge or counter the attack that would be sure to blast him backwards should it actually make contact with him. Instead, he seemed calm and confident. No flicker of uncertainty or fear flashed through his calm eyes. What the hell was he planning now?! That question was answered with only seconds to spare before the shockwave hit. Roulin’s body appeared to crumble before Raven’s very eyes. Within mere seconds his body was nothing but billions upon billions of grains of sand. “What the…” Of course, due to his current state, the Owl of Grey was able to avoid being taken out by the former blondes’ shockwave. She had never seen him pull such a neat trick before, in all their fights he had always remained one and whole….A target she could easily hit…but now…now it was completely different.
Raven’s icy blue eyes widened. She was completely taken aback by this tactic and it startled her completely. Had he pulled this stunt to throw her off? Or perhaps he had grown tired with their constant fighting. He wanted her dead and he was pulling out all the stops to see her lying at his feet. Her options were so drastically limited now, that her usually calm and collected computer of a brain was working in overdrive. Even with the Heart of Life in full swing there was little comfort to be had. He had actually managed to send her into a panicked mess. And like a cornered animal, she relied heavily on the only form of attack that she could muster. With a high pitched cry of anger and perhaps despair, Raven sent a powerful shockwave blasting outwards from all angles. She figured that it probably wouldn’t do much to the sand timer Italian…but she was starting to lose control of her other more intellectual reasoning’s.
Distance….Raven needed more distance between her and the sand man! She kicked a heel into the ground and fired off a shockwave cushion which then burst a bit like a balloon would. The force shoved the former blonde upwards into the air and propelled her backwards. Her hair whipped around her face as it broke free from the band, which up until this point, had been holding it all together. The French womans’ landing was anything but graceful and it did little to quell her uneasiness as she struggled to straighten up and ready herself to evade the damn grains of sand which used to be a man. Her usually strong and confident façade was now a mess of doubt and irritation. Roulin’s attack had gotten to her more than she thought it could. And because she had reacted so dramatically….Roulin would know that he had her on the run…. Hoping against hope, Raven quickly punched the air in front of her and sent out a huge shockwave, aiming for the very core of what once was the Owl of Grey…
((Daryle Saxton))
Daryle frowned as he watched his wolves make contact with the Frozen Owl once again. Unlike before, he didn’t call them off. The boy needed to be taught some sort of lesson and if that meant using punishing attacks so be it. Off to the side the disks of air that Daryle had released had also made contact, and like a glass falling to the ground, Koiro’s defence shattered dramatically. Daryle had to give the boy credit, he had spirit. He turned to look at the boy again in time to watch as he encased himself and the biting flame wolves in a sphere of ice. “Hmm..” The blond male could feel the flames being wiped out due to the lack of air needed to feed them. As if the humour the Breezy Owl, Kojiro stood back up onto his feet. His palms were raised outwards at his sides in preparation for what could only beanother attack. “Oh? Not done, hm? Fine with me Kid..” Daryle was still unharmed and full of energy. He had yet to use any of his more powerful attacks…He wondered if Kojiro would be able to goad him into fighting more seriously….or would the boy wear himself out before that.
It was an impressive sight to behold; the way the soft snow drifted from the ground and floated around Daryle like a veil was startlingly mesmerising. The shield around Kojiro had shattered like glass being thrown to the ground. Sea green eyes sparkled curiously as they watched shadowy like beings appear, surrounding the blond male mercilessly. It was a rather creative use of powers and Daryle couldn’t help but admire the Frozen Owls will to continue fighting. The Blond breezy flame counted several shadows of snow and began to think of ways in which they may be used against him and how to counteract them. During his constant thinking, Daryle was rudely disrupted when weapons of ice began whizzing past him in random directions. It seemed as though they were trying to confuse him and for the briefest of moments they had.
Daryle was forced to move out of the weapons flight path and evade all attacks while keeping his eyes on the real threat, Kojiro. In the next moment the shadows began to spin in a dizzying circle, they moved too fast for the blond male to keep check of, all he could do was be sure that none of the weapons caught him. Though he was doing fine with dodging, he still received a few minor scratches with his clothes taking the most damage. More shadows joined in with the mad spinning frenzy but this did nothing to spook the blond male. His eyes narrowed and a crooked grin appeared on his lips. He had a plan, a way in which he can get closer to the Frozen Owl. It was a risk but what was life without risks? Boring that’s what.
Steadying himself, Daryle watched as all the shadows turned to strike. He needed to pinpoint Kojiro who had been lost amongst the frozen frenzy. The shadow in front of him gripped a katana, the ones on either of his sides, a pair of knives and a scythe. Daryle swopped low to the floor and delivered a right hook into the chin of the Katana wielding being, a decoy. He swept his left leg round and took out the knife wielder…Another decoy. The one with the scythe was vaporised with a blast of fire. This left Daryle with the ‘pleasant’ feeling that Kojiro was attacking from behind with the other decoys.
He spun round and only smirked confidently as he lunged forwards in time to meet Kojiro’s attack full on. The pain that came with being stabbed was only a reminder that his body was not yet numb with the cold. Blood trickled down his side where the young Owls weapon was now nestled. Wincing at first, Daryle looked into the eyes of the Frozen Owl before chuckling “Got you…” He raised his right hand which was balled into a very tight fist. Flames flickered to life as the blond male brought his arm back. “Game…over…” Like a spring being released after being squeezed between two fingers, Daryles fist flew out and aimed straight for Kojiro’s right cheek…..
"...Thats it?...just like that?"
Kojiro felt the Lance hit its mark, seeing that he finally drew blood in his target...but something was wrong....Kojiro's cool blue eyes showed a glint of terror as his realization was made to be true...
....I...I can't lose..."Got you..." The words that slipped from the Breezy Owl's lips sent a chill down the Frozen Owl's spine. Kojiro felt time come to a total crawl, there was no blocking...no trick up his sleeve, no counter, no hidden ace...Kojiro was simply not built to handle this kind of thing...never was...no exceptions...
...I can't lose...
Kojiro could only look on as the Owl took his opening, it was reckless...but absolute. Kojiro's eyes reflected the flickering of the flames about to make impact. Kojiro had no idea what to do...until...
I'll die before I lose!((The Fire Herald used Fire Punch....It was Super Effective!)) The crushing blow made a clean impact on the Frozen Owl, and a violent hissing sounded as Kojiro's ice cold face turned along in the direction of the burning strike as it connected. Everything instantly went black as Kojiro suffered a near paralyzing concussion. Kojiro's body went limp for a moment as it began to crumple to the ground, but something caught. Kojiro still had a death-grip on on Daryle's shirt, almost as quickly as it caught, Kojiro suddenly returned to the land of the living. Not one word escaped Kojiro's lips, and his eyes said nothing either...Light was barely visible as they seemed more lifeless than usual, slowly but surely showing signs again. Kojiro tightened his grip. Throwing the dice on this fight once again, intent on using whatever he had left in his arsenal. He knew he could not stand many more of those blows so he had to act fast...and rely on his will....
"...Not yet...."
Requiem of Winter's Army...Azure Waltz.....
Shards of Ice and snow, and any debris carried by the frozen particles whipped up to life in a violent flurry around them, creating a ring or shrapnel and trapping them both in a confined space about the size of a small room. Kojiro regained his stance as he snapped out of his dazed state, from here on out there was no plan, no tactics, no hidden aces. Kojiro was putting everything he had left in his next assault..alone. Tightening his hand balled fist covered in ice was fired back into an uppercut towards the Owl, intent on trading blows. Just as the Ice and debris reached peak velocity, Weapons from Swords, to rods, to Naginatas and everything in between gradually began slamming into the ground within the ring, All ready for the the Frozen Owl to use if need be. Kojiro's aura had also fallen far below sub-zero temperatures, combating Daryle's heat. Kojiro was no Warrior, but he intended on clashing with this obstacle with everything he had.
The storm of sand, sentient and thirsting for the blood of the blonde, swirled angrily around it's target even as she released a shockwave that covered her body and more in the shape of a sphere. It was now as if a snake were trying to consume and egg...try to crack it's shell wherein resided what it truly wanted. Roulin, now in the form of millions and millions of grains of sand, dirt and rock, had been coiling around the french girl to close in and end her life once and for all. Her high pitched cry did nothing to halt his advancement. Perhaps it hastened it. The Italian's mind wasn't clear, and in some regards, it was nonexistent. The feeling of being one with an element was intoxicating and it was a feeling Roulin had felt many times before. If there was a moment of inconsistency or incoherence in his attack, that would be to blame.
Following the fearful cry, Raven took flight by shooting a shockwave downward through her heel. When it burst, it dissipated a bit off of the sand wall that was the Life Owl, but it did nothing to stop the man as a whole. The sight of the force of nature was blurred, and everything within it seemed colorful, heavier and to an extent, bent as if melting slightly. Even the dark brown of his sand appeared to be grey. The white hair of the woman seemed darker as well. The eyes of the terrorist that once bore an infectious glint of confidence and charisma now showed strong hints of uncertainty, perhaps even fright or fear. It was obvious to the young Presidiomni that the woman was now on edge teetering over it precariously. All it would take from him is a nudge to send her over...
The body of sand below twisted and writhed like a violent, amber ocean. The snow that fell upon it was quickly dried away into nothingness and the buildings the sand came in contact two were sucked dry of what moisture they had within them. They soon crumbled as their foundation gave way. Within the surface of the sand ocean appeared a large eye that stared plainly at the woman above. The edges of it were bulging just as the nerves around Roulin's eyes did. He was watching her, inspecting her closely and trying to unnerve her with the sight.
The outer area of the sand ocean arose and headed for Raven taking the forms of blades, narrow pikes and thick patches that would easily dent the strongest of armored vehicles. In the center of it all arose the man in control of the onslaught, Roulin. The moon was no longer visible to him. Only the towers of sand and the sprinkle of attacks that shot up at his target. Her shockwaves could only stop but so much and that, along with a few other things, were proving to be her weakness. A grin formed on his lips as the sand beneath him rumbled slightly. That tremor soon became a spout that shot the man into the air. In his right hand, he formed an elemental shockwave but infused it with more darkness than any other element. This dense, explosive attack coupled with the hundreds of sand based projectiles that were heading towards the deadly beauty would surely be more than enough to end her reign and this long, drawn out game of cat and mouse once and for all.
((TFP---Raven))
A single eye stared unblinking at the once blonde female. It was unnerving and quite a disturbing sight to behold. Raven’s wide blue eyes gazed back; locked and entranced by the eye of sand before her. She was so captured by this weird yet wonderful display of power that she barely registered the outer area of the sand rising and heading towards her in forms of blades and other narrowly crafted objects that would pack a powerful punch. She backed up a few steps as she finally took notice of the approaching weapons. Quickly, she summoned up a shockwave to take most of the attack, but in her current bewildered state of mind the shockwaves strength and power was not at its best. The French woman set her teeth together tightly as she fought to keep the barricade up. It was taking a terrible toll on her energy and even with the Heart of Life pumping away inside she knew she didn’t have enough power to keep it up for too long. If she can just hold on for a few more minutes…until the spikes and swords of sand finishing their onslaught, then she could re-think her tactics and approach Roulin in a different way…Only…she hadn’t expected Roulin to launch himself at her alongside the other projectiles….
She felt her shockwave falter alongside her will power. Her Owl which relied heavily on her nature and emotion was not designed to work well with fear. Before her was the man who was going to end her life, and so fear was the first sensation that ran through Raven’s body. Her hands which had been raised in defence suddenly fell to her sides like they had become dead weights and rather interestingly, Raven could only bring herself to smile. There she stood on the very edge of the last moments of her life. The sounds of the swirling sand, trembling ground, the wind….none of it mattered and none of it registered within the French woman’s mind because the sounds no longer mattered. Her blue eyes that were once ablaze with the fire of hate, anger, vengeance, and strength had dimmed and grew softer as they watched the impending doom approach.
~~~~~~
“Catherine….Don’t walk too far ahead. You know how your father gets when you wander from the path…”
“But Mama! If I stay on a set path how will I ever find the things that hide from me?”
“You may not find your way back to us, Catherine…Come now, we are all waiting for you…”
“But Papa…I will find my way back! I have done so on many occasions before!”
“Come on Cathy, you’ve made the old folks worry enough….It’s time to go home now. We can explore later, how’s that sound?”
“Fine Alexander…but you must promise me that we can come back here again….”
~~~~~~
Ah…Perhaps…just perhaps Raven could still find her way back to them. To those she had lost throughout her seemingly short years of life. An overwhelming calming sensation filled her from the core of her being. She had only a few regrets…but they quickly perished as Raven dropped the shockwave barrier that had been clinging to her. Her dry lips remained smiling as she opened her arms, ready to embrace death. It was time to put aside any thoughts of fighting; any thoughts of retaliation…Perhaps, with her death there would come peace. Maybe, all sides of this war could see and understand each other far better now…Maybe the world that Raven had wished to create in her younger years could be born from her blood…She had to think like this because otherwise it would have all been in vain. Those who had perished would have done so without a purpose.
And so, the now blonde female closed her eyes as she felt the overwhelming power that was Roulin so very close. She breathed in deeply and released the air “I feel that the end is near…and only then would I be able to breathe again…” Raven re-opened her eyes and her lips moved as she spoke a few words, words that were lost within the swirling motion that was the shockwave of darkness.. “It has been fun, Roulin…”
It shouldn’t have been possible…for such a powerful attack to be halted only mere seconds before it was meant to hit...It was like a solid wall made of some sort of indestructible material had been placed in front of the blonde terrorist shielding her from harm. Ravens body went rigid, almost like she had been struck by lightning. Her eyes and mouth opened wide and for a moment nothing else occurred but then, they began to glow in a warm light. The blue of her eyes had been replaced by nothingness as she stared upwards towards the sky. What followed was a sudden explosion of brilliant white light. The entire surrounding area had been completely covered by this strange force; the light was blinding and seemingly never-ending. When it finally cleared…Raven was nowhere to be seen… She had vanished along with the light…
((Daryle Saxton))
Daryle would have been rather disappointed if Kojiro had been knocked out with just one perfectly landed punch. So, he could only smirk when the Frozen Owl tightened his grip on the blond males shirt. ‘Not yet’ were the only words that he spoke as shards of ice and fistfuls of snow stirred to life all around them. Like a fighting ring, the snow, ice and bits of debris circled around them prohibiting either of the two men to leave. Well, Daryle could have left by flight should he want to…but why would he want to? His green eyes snapped away from the ever moving circle when he felt the boy shift through the fabric of his shirt. He had regained his footing….and before Daryle could fully register the inpending attack, it made contact with his jaw. A small crack resounded in the Breezy flames ears as he staged backwards with the force of the blow. The next instant he was overcome with searing pain; pain that he hadn’t felt since his youth at the hands of his take-no-crap father.
“Heh…” Blood slipped down from the corner of his lip in a generous flow like a red river. “Not bad….not bad at all kid…” Daryle murmured while staggering in an attempt to regain his bearings. The searing ache in his jaw could only mean that an old wound had been re-fractured as a result of the blow. He couldn’t tell how bad the damage was and he wouldn’t know until much later when he could have it checked out. Right now he needed to concentrate on the young Owl before him. By this point the ring had spat out various weapons of ice and that could only mean that Kojiro intended on using them at some point during this fight. Kojiro still had a grip on Daryle’s shirt but that problem was quickly fixed when Daryle summoned some fire to burn away the tattered remains of fabric. When he was free, Daryle flipped backwards and landed a few feet away from the younger Owl.
Much like Kojiro’s dropping temperature, Daryle’s was rising. Had it been any other person or Owl, they would now be struggling to deal with the sub-zero temperatures. The blond male surveyed Kojiro from where he stood. The boy was now being forced to rely on his strength and limited amount of remaining power. Though, Daryle wouldn’t be surprised if he managed to launch another big attack. The Kid had talent that much was clear. The fledgling Herald snapped his fingers together and summoned a hurricane of wind but he didn’t send it towards the Frozen Owl yet…He waved a hand and fed fire into the whirling winds. It was when the hurricane was just a burning mass that he finally sent it speeding towards the younger Owl. “It has been fun so far….but I don’t plan on returning to my family in a box….and I don’t plan on letting you slip away from here either…So, I can only conclude that I must beat you into submission…..”
dragon-talk This time, Rage was more wary. After all, Intelligence was still there within her mind. As the scythe of the Nik doppleganger swung down towards her back, her body melted swiftly into a puddle of shadow. The puddle then dispersed outwards into the shadows of the battlefield. Of course, this was timed so it looked like Nik had almost cut her in half. But that was not the case. The shadow clone Nik had made would be swallowed whole and crushed within the mighty and cavernous jaws of some massive creature made of the shadows underneath the clone.
Rage was indeed still alive and very angry at the fact that this amateur shadow manipulator had managed to wound her, let alone even get close enough to do so. A few yards behind Nik, Rage's figure grew out from the shadows (shadow walking) holding a kusari gama made out of shadow in her hands. She immediately hurled one end towards Nik's ankles, to wrap it and then yank the opposite end to throw Nik like a discus. The chains didn't have a limit to how far they could stretch because it the was the Herald of Darkness who had fashioned it. "If you will not shut up, then I will be glad to do that for you!" she shouted as the end of the kusari gama wrapped itself around Nik's ankles.
Nik wasn't about to be caught off guard by a technique the herald had stolen from him. As Rage swung the chain at his feet, Nik simply hopped backwards and to the side, swinging his scythe down and catching one of the chains with the tip, pinning it to the ground. Nik laughed and said, "Is that all you've got you сердиться шлюха? You're going to have to do better than that to get rid of me you бляд-" Nik didn't get to finish his sentence as a bright light glowed around him and he vanished, scythe, doppelganger and all.
Kojiro connected with the strike, he felt a sickening feeling as it made an impact, but Kojiro had no time to consider the damage he was inflicting, he needed to avoid taking any chances and continue his assault. The Frozen Owl stumbled back again and quickly looked ahead to see the wind around him began to stir within the blizzard at peak velocity. Kojiro shielded himself with the tattered remains of his coat, within the same movement the snow at his feet thickened and whipped up to combat the blazing mass. The two masses crashed into eachother, the collision began to warp the ring around them. Kojiro was wasting no time, through the remains of the flames he came rushing the Breezy Owl to continue his attack, his coat was gone and leaving his half scorched body exposed. Kojiro created a barrage of Knives that headed straight towards Daryle, following the assault he reared his hand back and created a Lance,
"Ice nova....true form...Gungnir!"
The Lance became denser and clearer as it emitted a light glow as Kojiro focused more energy into it, it could penetrate any armor, but more importantly, it could explode into a glacier that could have torn through a battleship, just as it had the Russian ones way back. Kojiro was not letting up for a second on this frozen barrage, however floating next to him was another Knife...it looked different than the others, it seemed to float next to him glowing and it seemed to be focusing more power than even the lance did, but Kojiro kept it close by his side...it was not an ace...he simply needed more time before he could unleash it. Daryle thought he would beat Kojiro into submission...no such thing would be happening...like he said...Not yet.
Cecilia swung her chain whip in quick precision towards the shadow minions that had been created by Rage. Or at least the ones that had targeted her. The shadows dispersed, reappearing behind the Gravity Herald. As Cecilia spun around, two sets of claws were aimed towards her chest while two more sets were aimed at her legs in hopes of both crippling her and killing her simultaneously. However, at that moment, a blinding flash of light caused the creatures to explode, like the creatures from that 1980s movie, Gremlins and also caused Cecilia, herself to disappear. Where she ended up, well...that would be left up to fate. Or a lazy role-player who had been ignoring this RP for quite some time. It was at that same time that Lorna and Bailey disappeared as well. Their whereabouts were unknown as well.
Demios had separated from Amara after having helped free her taking the time to recover from the fight. Although this was not without a cost, one of their friends had lost his life in the fight. In the end Amara's parents were stopped, and yet to Demios it still felt like a loss. When he had managed to get a hold of himself he returned to the battle field his forbidden magics now burned into his skin. The downfall of having used those magics was that he had permanently absorbed their forces and power into himself. He could feel it running through him, hell he could feel the mana around him. He let out a breath knowing that he would need to learn to control them again. It was as he looked into the battlefield that he noticed something strange. He saw a bright light and wondered what had happened. He decided to hurry towards the other night owls. As he reached them he watched as Cecilia vanished. At this point he noticed he had began to release his own glow. "What? No!" He said worried not sure what was going to happen. Before he could even attempt a spell though he was consumed in a bright light and vanished. All that remained of where he stood was an old raven whistle he had kept a copy of Genya's.
The familiar silver light shot across the sky it's directionless path leading it in sporadic random directions as it flew wildly across the sky only to finally seem to gain some order firing downward it landed inside of Anderson's chest the light of course was his Arch dragon returning to his body, the Demonic Familiar had already returned to him, they were helpful but they couldn't stay on this earth forever it wasn't their plain of existence after all. Anderson took a step back bracing himself, his clothes tattered and burned from the constant fighting. Faint white lines traveled along his body as a sign of the cosmic power he had overused during this most important of fights. As he was about to rush forward he suddenly felt his body tighten up, or rather just his chest. He grunted before his limbs thrusted outward Anderson's body floated a few feet above the ground as a bright white light revealed itself on his chest before it began to spread enveloping his entire body just before it shot into the air and vanished.
Luca's metal arm was missing singe marks revealed that it was some sort of incindiary device which had been the undoing of this current arm, this was ok though it was fairly common. He snapped his fingers getting a small charge going in his good arm before thrusting his hand out firing a bolt of lightning from his hand which tore through the ground electrocuting two of the Fallen Phoenix grunts. He smiled snapping his fingers lightly again several times to build up a charge. "Looks like this may be my last performance...Bailey...." He whispered softly to himself. Just as he was about to fire the charge a white light formed on his chest, Luca looked down more than surprised by the sudden event, for a second he thought he had been attacked by a photokinetic, but this was not the case. As the light spread Luca disappeared from the area leaving nothing behind to indicate that he was ever there...Well except for pieces of his arm which were scattered God only knows where throughout the city.
As the ever so ellusive duo continued to fight only the sound of gunfire and rock colliding with a vast number of objects could be heard. Radiant spun on the ground her legs stretched out as the guns attached to the heels of her stilleto's fired off bullets each finding their mark in the bodies of the nameless Fallen Phoenix soldiers around them. Phantom stood now on the ground raising his hands upward he created pillars of stone from the ground which rocketed themselves into the various fallen phoenix members, the great thing about his field of creation was that there was very little he couldn't do, he was truly the master in this bubble. As the two of them fought the seemingly endless number of soldiers they backed up until their backs were pressed against one another. Phantom smiled a little as he glanced up, they were directly underneath the floating upside down city he had constructed to stop their planes from attacking the others. "Cornered like rats." He said referring to the soldiers not them. Radiant smiled staring forward she lowered her guns. Phantom snapped his fingers pointing down to the ground he said. "Die under the collapse." On command the buildings began to shake from their "foundation" in the sky and fall down towards the people below. Just then a brilliant light surrounded the two of them, both stopped and looked at each other confused, for once they had not done the mysterious thing. In an instant they disappeared from the area, as would the buildings falling to kill the soldiers down below, luck had been their savior this day.
Within the depths of the forsaken city a man sat patiently cross legged his folded leg lightly bouncing up and down, arms folded across his chest head slightly tilted down. A small smile crept onto his face as the rumbling and the noise seemed to die down from the world around him. "Right on time." He whispered, from the man's core spread a perfect sphere of darkness which grew surrounding everything in the room hiding it from exterior view, this would of course be a large generator like machine, dozens of computers scattered around the room monitoring odd wavelengths and of course the bodies of the scientists who had been working on them, though none of them seemed to have any external injuries. Once the sphere of shifting black energy filled the room a dazzling white light shot from the top of it, with the man controlling the darkness gone the sphere collapsed in on itself disappearing, taking with it everything that had been encumbassed in the sphere leaving a massive gaping perfectly spherical hole right where the cities' main generator and power grid had once been.
Acelyn watched as everyone as the events began to close down, especially with Che and everyone near there. Soon enough the girl sat down on the broken concrete, her hands on her face. She was tired of the fighting, of not knowing who should have left at the days end. Watching Thomas and knowing that in the end, something was going to happen to her sort of father. Ace rubbed her eyes, the metal from one of her wounds dripped down slowly, sighing in the pain. Just as she let out a deep breath, her body began to glow. Watching as her hands grew brighter she was puzzled, then in a flash of bright light she was teleported.
The sound of Leaping over a metal fence Serilda found herself running from, some sort of collision. She just woke up from the sound of crumbling debree from above her eyes. Finding herself running in between the tightening alley way, she slipped out into the air and fell directly into the water to where she started to swim up, gasping for air. Wondering what was going on she started to swim towards the ladder to where she began to climb up having her drenched clothes dripping from the cold water of the lake. After climbing to the top she started to notice a bright light from the sky she began to sit up and started to slowly stand while noticing something brightening her view of vision. She could see her chest shining like a star as she started to vanish to which she was standing from.
There it was...in the palm of his hands slipping through like Mercury...on the tip of his tongue teasingly reminding him of the savory taste that was satisfaction. The tips of his fingers were all but numb due to prolonged exposure to this weather and his lips, chapped and dry like the snow that fell to the ground, were stretched into expectant smile. The corners of them grew further and further apart gradually revealing more and more teeth as he ascended briskly towards his target. After a few moments of silence passed them both by, The Owl of Grey could not only see that he was on the precipice of victory but on the verge of proving something both to himself and the World. Maybe as well to the silver haired woman he so loathed and admired at the same time.
From the woman's lips came soft, silent words that Roulin paid little to no mind to. He'd understood perfectly just what she'd said, but it wasn't anything that was going to slow him. No, those days of hesitation due to something as miniscule as pleasantries, apologies or regretful, mournful words and whispers were over and done with. The fire that burned angrily in the Italian's dark violet eyes was the furnace over which his thread to humanity burned. The attack in his hand was the string with which he'd craft a new bond to himself and only himself. Raven...Catherine, the only other adversary besides Lucien to make him push his abilities to such a limit, was the thread in that aforementioned burning bundle that needed to break.
His ascent was complete. The random assortment of projectiles that launched from the ocean of sand beneath the both of them did their task and did it perfectly. What was left of the plan was to strike down the woman, watch her drop onto the snow covered concrete below then finish of Thomas with what was left of Raven's, or rather, his own energy. She was carrying his heart of life after all. Less and less though, his desire to reclaim it was dwindling. Maybe as a parting gift, he'd let her keep it. Maybe not. Through the long, onxy locks of his hair that whipped against the night air, he stared into the icy blue eyes of terrorist above. All the essences and nuances of a difficult life studded with even harder decision vanished leaving behind a hazy residue of complacency peppered with a uncertainty and fear. As with all people, Human or Owl, that was natural. Roulin wasn't going to berate her for that. As he lifted his attack to her, he found himself murmuring a response to her earlier statement. "Yeah. It has been." The Owl of Grey drew his arm back, then pressed forward bringing with it the shockwave created just for her...
~~~
Timothy's unconscious body was now all but covered by the ever falling flakes of snow. They deep cold of each icy formation kissed the bruises that covered his thin, pale and bloodied body. The stinging sensation of it was mitigated completely due to his current state of mind. To a passerby, or anyone that was crazy enough to be caught in Richmond at this time, could pass the white haired man off as a relic lost to time or a casualty of war. He easily resembled both from any point of view.
Still, he lay silent. The only noises that escaped him were the sounds of his labored breathing. His tumble down the steps may have bruised his chest or lung. In combination, he may have suffered a broken rib from the fall. The Herald knew that wasn't the only fall he suffered today either. While victorious over Will, the Satan Owl, he'd fallen from grace in the same battle. Gods couldn't be injured nor could they bleed. Not only that, but he'd failed to protect Raven, the Oracle, as he said he would.
The eyes of the Herald fluttered open after what had been almost half an hour of laying there lifelessly at the bottom step of the church. The stinging sensation still had no adverse effect on him, but he could now feel it in it's entirety. The man was used to this kind of pain as it was akin to deep dissatisfaction for him. At this moment, as his light blue eyes stared upwards into the grey December sky, he felt nothing but self-loathing and a deep dissatisfaction in himself. Half-failure, half-success...Timothy rolled over in the snow and the amount of it that had collected upon him slid off in a heap. His shirt, white, but bloodstained, was now tinged a light pink in certain areas due to a mixing of the water and blood.
The Herald of Electromagnetism could now feel the sum of his parts as he got to his feet and attempted to walk. He fell to his knees almost instantly, but like the fighter he was, he stood again and again and again. The last fall rendered him immobile once again, but it didn't place him on his back. From the ground he lifted his hands noticing the stains upon them as well. The center of his palms were touched by anything oddly. Rather, they were shining. The area from which they shone grew and grew until they covered his hands entirely. The center of his chest soon did the same. With a nonchalant stare, Timothy watched the process go on and on until it enveloped his entire being. Closing his eyes calmly and peacefully, he fell forward again as his body vanished to another location.
