Don't go see it craftymama! It's awful! I mean not awful, guys usually like it and obviously if it affected people so much it was done well. But I bawled to the point where poeple were looking at me like, "what the hell is her problem." And I left the theatre more depressed and with no hope for my own species, the human race. All in all, not worth it. Go see the Golden Compass! Four stars on that one! 3nodding
I would love to take a nap lillian, but I gotta go do after christmas shopping! biggrin heart

pretty leela if you want you can sharpen your artistic skills by drawing me... *wink wink* I promised Zercia that I would do her's next....but I'm too tired to do that...but I promise I will do one for you eventually. I got a drawing tablet for xmas....maybe one day I'll actually get it up set up and see how it works.

I'm going to wait to rent The Golden Compass. We plan to buy it just like we do with most kids movies that come out. My kids are rich in movies at least thanks to us, my siblings, thier grandparents, and our friends. I went to see P. S. I Love You last night at 9:20pm with my best friend. It was so touching! My friend and I stayed up till 3am chatting about it and life. I cried, laughed, and enjoyed the story. It is one of the few chick flicks I actually want to buy.
My son is off school until Jan 2nd and he is driving me crazy, lol. I think I want to take a nap too. It will have to wait though. I'm still trying to finish a big cross stitch project I am making for my best friend's Christmas present.

I have a free admission pass to the movies, but for some reason I can't bring myself to sit through a movie.....and going to the movies is usually my favorite thing to do. Maybe next week when I have more days off.
I have 3 movies I have to see:
Atonement
Juno
Sweeney Todd

Movies I watched so far and enjoyed: Enchanted (I love the soundtrack) Movies I stayed away from because I did not enjoy the movie soundtrack score cd: The Golden Compass Movies which I wanted to see but did not have the time to watch: Stardust (I love the soundtrack but the music store I went to told me that the soundtrack cd has been discontinued". Discontinued? The movie was released this past summer. DVD came out last week. Imported cd I can understand but discontinued within 6 months? That's a total lie because the other store I went to said it takes 8 weeks to import a cd from the States.)

I liked Stardust. It was a good movie, not the greatest, but it had it's laughs. I loved loved Captain Shakespeare in the movie. stressed

Most of the reason I'm waiting to see Golden Compass is because it seems to be on the same scale as Narnia and frankly I wish I had waited and seen that one on video. It was good I suppose but not worth the $8 I spent on my ticket and the $8 I spent at the concession when I could have enjoyed it just as much in my own living room for a $3 rental fee. Oh well.
Oh I wanted to share news of my favorite gifts I got this year. My new computer of course but the other was unexpected. My best friend and I always end up giving each other something even though we always say we won't. They are always really heart felt gifts that have lots of meaning. This year she is working at Walmart and had access to the back store room area. I have never been able to find a pair of boots that fit anywhere. She not only found me a pair that fit (stuck in a corner in some loose insulation under a pile of fallen boxes covered by trash, lol) but they are cool too! They look like pirate boots! I'll have to get my hubby to take a picture and post it at some point. I got pictures of everyone else's cute outfits at Christmas but spent to much time behind the camera again I guess, lol.
Its strange that something so silly can make me so happy but it was such a thoughtful gift and something I'd never buy for myself that it really touched me. I can't help but feel all warm and happy when I think about it. I needed that today. Plus all the love I've gotten from my fellow guild members has really lifted my spirits. Thanks everyone. ^_^

pretty leela except for the lag i'm experiencing right now, i'm doing great!^^ so, what do you have lined up for today?^^ not a thing...after that hard partying yesterday I don't want to do nothing lol but tomorrows another thing I want to go to out Festival Village to hear the Stroka Band Concert whooo!!

ack, i am soo bored... its really foggy here and the garbage truck just showed up after everyones trash has been out all day. its was like at 8:45 pm... weird.
