"Teach ya?" Anatoli repeated incredulously, looking positively baffled. He wasn't exactly sure how to respond, he was more used to teaching people about things of the past than his own faith. The look on his face seemed to say, 'are you stupid?'

It seemed like such a oddball question, and he didn't really know where to start. "Well, havin' sex on a Friday's good luck... ya can masturbate without shame... Oh, we also control tha weatha', tha media, and we have spooky mind powers."

It should be obvious to most that he's being facetious, but there's no telling if Marshall would actually believe all that.

Anatoli suppressed the urge to laugh, wondering to himself if this was a setup of some kind. Judaisim for Dummies? Come on.

"It ain't looked down upon," he said, wanting to see how long he could keep up the ruse. "And ya know, once you're a Jew, ya get ta have these cool litta horns... that's why we all wear those hats, ta hide 'em." The man smirked, pushing up the brim of his fedora with a thumb.

"Oh, and tha x-ray vision? Can't get that with any otha faith."

Now Marshall HAD to figure out he was joking, right?

"I'm just playin'," Anatoli stuck out his lower lip and made a 'phbbt' sound. Now, on the topic of services... it was pretty hard to describe to a complete newbie. He twirled a finger in his hair with thought, telling someone about the faith wasn't exactly his thing. He knew the conspiracy theories, he's been faced with every awful joke about his lineage, but never did he expect anyone to show interest.

And if Anatoli wanted to be completely honest and make himself out to be an even bigger hedonistic jerk, he would have just admitted to only pretending to pay attention half the time. "If you're inta it, then they're great. But once ya seen one service, ya've seen 'em all, and they get longa an' longa' all tha time."

He purposefully left out the part where he found himself thinking about girls most of the time.

"They're 'bout that long, yeah-- Bat Mitzvahs are fa' goils, B'nei Mitzvahs are for multiple people," he corrected. One would assume this stuff was already covered in that book of his, but it was best to just stave off as many questions as he could.

"Whateva." He'd rather be talking about something else, but he's pretty relaxed either way. And if this fellow DOES go crazy and tries to eat him, he's got that knife...

"Hey! If it wasn't, Antony an' I wouldn't be holdin' that pawty," the man smiled, hoping this would steer the conversation onto something he found more interesting. He always loved Halloween, even if his mother thought he was immature for it. "Yeah? What's ya costume gonna be? Mine's gonna be a secret fa' now, but I'd like ta hear about it."

Anatoli smirked. "Gonzo? I was thinkin' Tha Penguin from Batman woulda worked just as well," he suggested. He hoped this young fellow was a comic book fan, and really - who HASN'T heard of Batman or his adversaries?

The girlfriend comment caught him by surprise -- to be completely honest, he hadn't really... well, he hadn't considered that as a way to describe his friendship. "Oh... oh, no. She's a friend a' mine. Squirrel, hasn't tried ta kill me yet, first person I met heeah."

"I'm good at this," Anatoli preened. "Awright, awright, just don't tell anyone, okay?" He leaned in and whispered it, then pulled back and raised his voice to speaking level again. "But tha only way ya gonna see it is if ya go to tha Halloween party at tha beach, not tha one run by staff! It'll be fun, got it?"

"Actually... we were plannin' it BEFOAH tha staff started handin' out their lettas. Like, we're talkin' at tha start a' tha month," Anatoli pointed out. "Not gonna let that stop us, ya know? I don't really trust anythin' tha staff holds. Watch it be somethin' ta lure us all inta more injections or somethin'..."

Chances are, his party may wind up crashed. He hoped that wouldn't be the case, but the hell if he was going to voluntarily wander over to anything staff-controlled without a fight.

He can fight.
