Satoshi peeked out the window to watch Seph tie up Chobi onto the post. "Give the guy some space so that he only has to answer one question at a time" she told the group rolling her eyes at them before turning her attention back to the window.
Felina turned around and poked Oassu playfully. "Now it wouldn't have been all that interesting without a few surprises on the way. Besides I didn't want you acting all weird around me or sucking up" she ansered putting her arm around him.
Adohand chuckled and nodded as he sat down in an armchair near the fireplace "Yea I missed him but someties thats what you have to put up with his line of work. I like birds but these all belong to Hayate with the exception of the chocobo egg upstairs." He turned his head to see what some of the others were looking at. "Sorry but I'm not going to tell you girls anything embarassing"

Itaka raised an eyebrow and leaned forward with interest "So You raise chocobo's too? What kind is it?" he asked.
Oassu giggled blushing a little and putting his arm around Felina too, "Yeah at least there wasn't like bounty hunters from your father out looking to bring you home, that woulda been a worse surprise" he said hugging her.
Mari blushed a little showing through her makeup she frowned at Hebal "I'm sorry Mr Adohand we're not really that bad" she said bowing apologetically.

Seph left Chobi tied to the post before hopping back around the side of the house and placing herself back on the sofa "She won't be any bother back there. so what did I miss?" she asked Itaka shuffling closer to him.
Alpha leaned back a bit once Seph had returned "Nothing much, Adohand was just telling us a little more about what kind of birds he keeps. That and Hebal is trying to get embarrassing secrets out of him regarding Hayate" he filled her in. "How long have you had the egg for?"
Hebal blushed a little looking at the floor "Sorry just ignore me I'm just being nosey. Is there any chance we could see the little egg. It sounds cute" she asked scratching her ears "Is it going to hatch soon?"

Adohand shook his head at Hebal "Sorry Miss but right now the egg is in it's final stage so it would be better not to move it or put it on show. This is my second time breeding a chocobo but if all goes well it should be black" he told the group leaning back in his chair. He looked over at Oassu and Felina "I take it you're officially a couple now?"
Satoshi sighed "Well thats a bit of a shame. I wouldn't have minded seeing a chocobo egg but not to worry. It's impressive that you are going for a black one as a second chocobo. It takes a lof of luck and breeding" she stated slumping into another chair.
Felina laughed "I had a good head start before they realised I was missing besides not many elves would travel so far away from home to come looking for me" she smiled at Oassu before turning back round to face the others. "Thats right, we're a couple now though not everyone knows it."

Oassu nodded "Yeah me and Felina are a couple now but lots of folk don't know yet" he bit his lip and snuggled into Felina "You reckon her parents will like me enough?" he asked Adohand.
Itaka sat back with a sigh nodding to Seph as she came back "Black ones are nice I guess" he shrugged to be honest they don't compare to gold ones but it's about the love and care that goes into a chocobo. he glanced over at Satoshi "Luck ain't got anything to do with it Satoshi, chocobo's are all about love care and skill" he smirked "Sure you can raise a fine chocobo without some of these aspects but that chocobo will never be right" he said
Mari giggled and tickled Hebal's ear "Don't feel bad about it to be honest I was a little nosy too" she said bouncing Sophia in her lap "How did you and Hayate meet?" she asked

Seph grinned upon realising the topic was on Chocobo's "I like the black ones. They may not be as practical as the golds but they have a nice mysterious look to them. Itaka has his own chocobo farm at his home" she added looking over at him.
Alpha sighed patting Oassu's shoulder "Stop worrying already, They will like you. If not they will grow to you" he reassured Oassu. He stood up stretching his arms and legs "So what colour is you're first chocobo, blue or green?"
Hebal giggled twitching hr ear "No need to tickle me right now. I don't mind not seeing the egg if it means that it gets looked after better but you've got to at least give us something to gossip about instead" she joked petting Sophia.

"The first chocobo we had was a green one then we payed for her to breed with a male blue" Adohand explained and smiled at Oassu. "Not sure about the mother but the king is nice enough. It was him who called of the arranged marriage because the guy Felina was meant to be marrying couldn't prove himself worthy."
Felina nodded happily "Thats right. I'm glad he couldn't since one, he was an idiot and two, I found somebody far better" she added snuggling into Oassu. "Let's not go into that boring old story"
Satoshi raised her eyebrow at Itaka "Sure luck has something to do with it. It takes a lot to find a blue and green chocobo to be in the same area but now those two have asked I am also curious about how you two met."
Hayate grinned coming back into the room "There really isn't anything that exciting to tell. We both met eachother when staying in the same ward after receiving a fair few injuries from the wars" he explained sitting on the arm of Adohand's chair.

Itaka nodded "I do raise a few chocobo's only the best ones go to my farm" he glanced at Seph "I'll show ya sometime if you like" he said before turning back to Adohand "You fight do ya?" he grinned his interest piqued
Oassu raised an eyebrow "You have to prove yourself worthy?" he asked Felina.
Mari giggled and stroked Sophia who looked innocently up at Hebal "She's not that kinda girl she's nice," she told Hebal looking back at Adohand with a slight frown "Thats not exactly the best terms to meet under" she sighed.

Seph moved further away from Itaka then leaned back snuggling into the couch. "I'll hold you to that Itaka" she said smiling before turning her head around to Adohand. "It's an odd way for people to meet, were the two of you badly injured" she asked him.
Alpha shrugged looking over at Biggs who was now flying around the room above his head. "You meet people in the strangest of places. I met my wife while having an injection or 3 but forget about that." he laughed and shook his head.
Hebal jumped back a little as Biggs landed on her arm "Sorry I thought his talons were going to be sharp." she blushed stroking the bird's breast. "Anyway what do you mean by proving yourself worthy?"

Satoshi snickered raising her eyebrow at Alpha. "I am going to assume you are talking about vaccinations rather that being a junkie" she laughed watching Hebal jump back "He isn't going to peck your eyes out you know"
Felina nodded rubbing Oassu's back "Its nothing really, he just felt that the guy was only doing it to obtain power rather than because he liked me. Saying you like someone is one with but showing it is another" she tried to explain.
Hayate snickered a little taking Biggs off Hebal using his finger "No need to worry, this little guy is harmless. Couldn't kill anything other than a earthworm. I was awaiting a kidney transplant and he had a broken leg so you're right about it not being the best terms"
Adonhand nodded leaning forward "I would rather not fight but I can when I want to or have to. Back then everyoine was required to do at least 5 years in the army. I use either my bow or my fists, depends on the range"

Oassu laughed nervously "Thats ok, so long as I don't have to like go up against the elven allstars at a basketball game I think I'll pass" he said hugging her.
Itaka smiled slightly "I know you love chocobos Seph It'd be a crime to not let you see it just once." he said turning back to Adohand "I don't suppose theres any rare weapons you'd be interested in parting with?" he asked him.
Mari nodded "It seems everyone we encounter has some battle experience of some sort" she said.
Itaka nodded in agreement "Thats the life of an adventurer, if your lucky most of the ones you meet will be allies" he told Mari "A battlefield isn't the most unlikely place to make friends," he said "It's not all that surprising he befriended Hayate there" he concluded

Alpha snickered at Satoshi shaking his head "Me a junkie? Never! I was too smart to go into that sort of thing. Do elves even play basketball to have a team?" he asked out of curiosity upon hearing Oassu's comment.
Seph nodded in agreement shuffling about. "The best way to meet people is to go on an adventure or go to the army. When given a choice do adventuring. Your new friends are less likely to die the next day" she advised Mari.
Hebal looked over at Itaka as if something was strange "I don't think you'll get many weapons from these guys that aren't bows since neither of them frequently use a blade. Unless you intend to sell them" she added in a whisper.

Felina giggled hugging Oassu back "Don't be silly guys. We don't even have a basketball team for you to go up against. Besides the challenges aren't always physical, it totally depends on the person" she added thinking back through her past.
Hayate rolled his eyes at Itaka "Like either of us would have loads of spare rare weapons. If we did we could have moved into a far bigger place" he muttered taking Biggs across the room and placed him into a small cage before sitting back down again.
Satoshi raised her eyebrow "Sorry Alpha but you can never be too sure with you. Who knows what kind of guy you were when younger." she teased watching Cid peek out from under Oassu's hat.
Adohand laughed trying not to stare at the pair of eyes he could see from Oassu's beret "Sorry but there aren't all that many rare weapons around here. I have a yoichi Bow but it's not for sale" he told them pointing to a bow and arrow that was being kept in a box on top of the fire place.

Oassu thought about this "They're gonna get me drunk an lock me in a room of riches and women aren't they?" Oassu said wincing a little at the thought
Itaka shrugged "I collect weapons but its a shame, ah well still the battlefield is alright we live on one most of the time but what happened when you met"
Mari nodded taking Cid out from under Oassu's hat "Yeah tell us what happened!" she squealed.

Alpha grinned at the thought of Oassu's sugestion. "Now that isn't the hardest of trials I have heared about coming from the elves," he yawned and stretched back, "If you don't want that sort of trial don't reviel too much about your character" he then advised.
Seph shifted her gaze up to the bow Adohand was pointing to. "I have heared a little about those weapons. Believe it or not they were rather easy to find a century ago but I guess better models came out" she stated shifing her eyes towards the bird cage.
Hebal quickly took Cid from Mari and placed him in her lap "Did the two of you get together straight away or were you friends or something before doing other things" she asked tickling Cid's feet.
