Akari pushed her previous thoughts away and decided to at least try the next seal. Her predicaments from before were correct. She didn't understand the seal to begin with and she didn't think in her mind before she attempted to put the pieces together. She managed to untangle her fingers and she grabbed an apple and munched on it. Her mind replayed previous years and remembered the sad things. She remembered all the bloodshed she had seen at once. Akari and Lehran were always there for each other trough thick and thin. They both saw the horrible day that brought sadness but when they were together they forgot about the past and moved on.

Akemi made her way through the forest. Three days had already passed since she had left the village and she was almost near Iwagakure No Sato. Time was not going to be wasted. She had a few messages to deliver and soon too. This was ANBU business that needed to be taken seriously. So far she hadn't been attacked and she was a bit curious as to why. Akemi pushed all her thoughts aside as she continued to hop from tree to tree. Sooner or later there wouldn't be any tree's left. That didn't bother her much.

Akari wasn't going to waste precious time sitting around doing nothing. She sighed as she tried the previous handseal and failed once more. That didn't bother her much. The thing that did bother her was why Lehran had been so quiet during this time duration. Akari took out a guava and slowly ate it. It was delicious. That and tropical. She was going to have to kick her but into gear and train a bit more seriously than before. She wasn't going to let this slip away so easily. If she wanted to advance in rank she had to prove herself and others wrong. That was exactly what she was going to do.

Akari still smiled as she tried the seal once more. She didn't care if she had to fail one thousand times before she learned it. One thing she had was a strong determination to finish things. Of course she failed again but she had almost got it. Thats when the phrase practice makes perfect comes into play. After the handseals she was going to take a small break and then she was going to attempt henge no jutsu. After that she would hopefully be caught up with everybody in the academy. Either way things would get done eventually. Thats the way Akari is.

As Akari untangled her fingers she thought of possible reasons as to why she was miserably failing the seal. When she thought of a reason she tried again. Akari managed to come up with the same results as before and she laughed. She found it funny that she had miserably failed several times in a row. She had a calm and gentle smile swaying across her face. It wasn't normal for Lehran to be so quiet for an extended period of time. Oh well. She was sure that he would speak up someday soon. Either way she ignored Lehran and focused on her training.

Megumi took the first step in a long time into fire country. Megumi looked around and realized that no one was there to attack. Unbuttoning his/her jacket while walking, Megumi revealed the headband that was tied around his/her waist. Stopping, holding open the jacket and turning in a slow, cull circle, Megumi continued walking towards the village. The last thing that needed to happen before Megumi reported back was to be attacked by a patrolling ANBU squad. Megumi pulled back the left cover of the jacket to reveal a black lacquered katana, peace-tied and fixed to its hold inside the trench-coat.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 16, 2008 11:00 pm

Megumi's eyes shone in the light, the green and blue producing a pleasing contrast as they caught the light coming down through the trees. Megumi reached down and fixed the latch on his/her ninja pouches. Traveling in peacetime felt strange, but then again so did carrying the weapons. Megumi smiled and breathed the air. Smells like home. Now nearing the village, Megumi remembered to button the collar of the jacket, to hide the bottom half of his/her face, so as not to give anyone any ideas about Megumi's sex. Megumi was still split right down the middle as to that problem, but had learned a lot on this last little trip. Megumi needed to locate the kage. Reporting back was top priority. Any longer and Megumi would miss the deadline. Becoming a missing-nin while standing in the middle of Konoha was not top on this jounin's list of things to do before the die. The village was close now. Not too far to the tower.

Akari pushed aside the handseal training and also remembered that she had to visit the Senju compound for a quick bit. She put the scroll back in her bag and began to make her way out of the dense yet quiet forest that surrounded Konohagakure No Sato. She may have been relatively small but that didn't change her strong desire and determination on throwing away her past and moving on to become a strong shinobi. Either way with each step she made it counted towards her future whether she knew it or not.

Megumi landed in the middle of the clearing, waiting for Irihi. He/she formed a series of seals, lowering him/herself into the ground while he/she was separated from Irihi by the trees. Now, The real test would begin. Megumi couldn't help wondering whether Irihi truly understood his eyes yet, but he/she knew that they could still be used to find him/her if they were good enough. Let's just see how he chooses to go about this little test... It would be a shame if he just gave up. He should at least pass the second test. If he can't, then I suppose that's all we'll have to do today. I'll get him there eventually.

Cp: 394/480

Doton: Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu (Earth Release: Inner Decapitation Technique)
After performing a series of hand seals and raising his chakra, the ninja is buried underground using his chakra. He can then move freely inside the ground, as if he was outside, due to the chakra which "makes way" for him/her. After the ninja feels he is below his opponent, he just raises his hand and grabs his opponent's feet, then buries him underground, leaving his head on the surface. This leaves a normal Shinobi open for a powerful attack, but a powerful one can use Chakra and raise himself up to the ground, preventing the attack. An experienced shinobi can also predict the attack, by sensing the opponent's chakra, so this move is really effective on younger ninjas, such as Genins or Chuunins.
Cp cost: 6
Damage: N/A
Requirements: Genin or higher rank. Must be trained to learn the jutsu, ie. you cannot learn it yourself.
Training days: 5 days, 3 days with Earth Affinity
Special: If caught, the Escape Artist DC is 50.

Hn. Megumi-sensei seemed to be expecting him to use his doujutsu, as she had kept heading through the thickest part of the forest. Consequently, Irihi kept his own moving to a bare minimum and concentrated more on following Megumi closely with his Byakugan. Nyame had done quite a good job hammering doujutsu control into Irihi's head. The basic advantages of the doujutsu: seeing in a circular radius, making the invisible chakra system and tenketsu nodes visible, as well as projecting vision through solid matter, was already down. His actual Juuken Kempo, however...was another point of contention. But that didn't matter here. Or did it?

As soon as Megumi's above ground chakra signature vanished as his eyes had carefully followed his sensei through the solid bark of a tree, Irihi got quite suspicious. Instead of heading forward, he made sure to cover a fairly good distance eastward onto a new tree, from the point where his sensei had vanished. And he made sure to stay hidden as he scouted the area with his eyes.

Just as he had suspected: not a trace. It wasn't a trick of the light, in fact...with his Byakugan colouring everything else gray...only chakra held contrasting colour. He gave a slight nod to Lailah. The wolf cub sniffed the air and nodded her head in return.

An Inuzuka's understanding of his animal partner.

Lailah had told him that Megumi had indeed passed by here. Left. Irihi thought to himself with a commanding air. He shifted his vision left, seeing nothing suspicious. Right. Came the barked order in his mind again. He shifted his field of vision right, there was still no sign of chakra. Forward. Still nothing. Up. Still nothing suspicious.

Which meant one thing: down. Though the forest clearing looked innocent, Irihi's intuition figured better: the clearing was heavy with chakra. Megumi-sensei's chakra. Which means...chakra for digging and tunneling through the earth.

It's a doton technique, then.

In his hiding spot high up the trees, Irihi readied his bow before nimbly closing in on the area from treetop to treetop, keeping to the shadows.

He would give Megumi-sensei something to remember.

Megumi realized that Irihi would be using his doujutsu, and he/she decided on an experiment. He/she rose above the ground, scanning the trees for Irihi. We came from above... Forming the dragon seal, Megumi created two shadow clones.

listen: 1d20 + 8
spot: 1d20 + 3

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Doppelganger Technique)
Unlike the normal Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Doppelganger), this jutsu does not create illusions, but real bodies of the user. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone. This could be very dangerous if the user is low on chakra or makes too many clones (like with Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Multiple Shadow Clone Technique). Kage Bunshin can't be detected by Byakugan. This is because the clones are real bodies with real chakra circulatory systems, identical to the user. The real one also cannot be detected by the Sharingan. Because the clones are basically real, they can perform Jutsu and real damage on their target, and can take some hits themselves, being even able to bleed, although they'll still disappear when enough damage has been done, which is usually after one blow or fatal attack. Since the clones are exact replicas of the user, one can use them in combination with many other techniques.
Cp cost: 10 per bunshin and resulting CP divided by number of Clones created
Damage: Each bunshin deals the same damage as you.
Requirements: Chakra 50+, Must be from Konoha or taught by a Leaf Ninja
Training days: 20 days

CP: 374/480

CP per clone/person.

Clone CP(1): 124
Megumi CP(2): 124
Clone CP(30): 124

Hearing a rustle from above, Megumi looked up and saw Irihi with his bow primed. Well, now. Are you going to hit me with that?

The crushing pressure of his Byakugan's gaze increased as Irihi calculatingly narrowed his eyes, recognizing the technique as Kage Bunshin. There would be no noticeable difference by the chakra sytem between the original and the clones. But then, a smirk crossed his face. If he can't see through them then... Instead of an arrow, as his bow dully hit the ground and with a swift flick of the arm, a shuriken embedded itself into the first clone's heart and another into the second clone's stomach. Perfect hits. On normal wooden dummies, both would've struck vital points.

The clones poofed away into oblivion - testimony to the one weakness of Kage Bunshin: carrying no ability to take damage. And also confirming his suspicion that Megumi would not have been so careless to reveal herself directly. Up. Came the reflexively calm command, as his field of vision caught hints of a chakra signature from above. The Kage Bunshin technique were merely distractions after all. There! Irihi thought as he lashed his other arm out, sending the three remaining shurikens hidden in his other hand at Megumi.

Not wasting any time, Irihi swept up his bow from the ground, firing an arrow at Megumi.

Megumi managed to jump, spinning, into the air and avoid any serious damage from the shuriken, but they still made contact. He/she was done playing this little game. Let's see how The kid can throw when his almighty eyes were useless. Forming a seal that he/she only uses to focus, (think tri-beam from DBZ), Megumi cast his/her favorite genjutsu. Let's see what he chooses to do when he loses his eyesight. Kokuangyo no jutsu!I don't want to hurt him, yet... If it gets close-quarters, then we'll have a real fight on our hands.

CP: 24/480

Kokuangyo no Jutsu (Bringer-of-Darkness Technique)
Forming the tiger hand seal, this powerful Genjutsu creates an ambiance of complete darkness around the surrounding background, enabling the user to attack without being seen.
Cp cost: 100 + 10 per post
Damage: 8 MHP per post
Training days: 12 days.
Will save: 20 + half character level + half int mod + half wis mod

While a normal person would've freaked out, Irihi remained disturbing calm. A child of the Hyuuga line indeed. This technique... Lailah was young, a mere pup...her senses were not as complex yet as that of a full-grown adult wolf. But the fact that she remained calm told Irihi what he needed to know: this was a mere illusion. Moreover, he recognized this particular Jutsu as that very famous Genjutsu technique developed by the Shodaime Hokage, Senju Hashirama, of Lord Anzu's family.

He stood no chance if he was to try breaking out of a Jounin's Genjutsu technique forcibly... Him, a mere rookie Chuunin? It was already surprising enough that he already stood his own ground so well. But a Genjutsu was only a trick, an illusion of the mind...and this particular one...he could still attack, he could still perform techniques. The answer became clear: mere pain would not help him break out of this Jutsu.

That he would make that pain beyond pain, enough to break the illusion.

If she knew, Nyame-sama would've been so furious...but...Irihi took the chance. He no longer had control over what he saw of his surroundings but he still had control over himself. And concentrating on his chakra system, he forced his chakra to spike right on his own tenketsu nodes. A moment later, he violently coughed up blood, the lines of the Byakugan fading. Megumi would have no time to ponder this, however...

A single arrow cut the air. It was fired poorly but his cleared gaze already said what was necessary: Irihi had chosen to purposely injured himself, with his own Juuken Kempo no less.

Yet only one of the Inuzuka line could do something so reckless.

Juuken Kempo Ryuu (Gentle Fist)
Description: This is the opposite of the Tekken (Iron Fist) Taijutsu style. The attacks are softer, more open palm, and cause damage by flowing chakra into the opponent's inner coil system of chakra veins and tenketsu (chakra holes). Attacking through the inner coil system allows them to cause damage to their opponent's internal organs, which nobody can train, as the chakra veins surround all the chakra producing organs, most notably the heart.

Also, by sealing the three hundred and sixty-one tenketsu in the human body, the ninja can cut off their opponent's ability to control their chakra, limiting their means to attack, and possibly even killing them. First performed by Hyuuga Neji and Hyuuga Hinata in chapter seventy-nine. Only members of the Hyuuga Clan can use this style, as one must have the Byakugan to see the inner coil system of the human body.
Rank: C
Cp Cost: Byakugan must be activated.
Damage: 4 - 16 + Chakra mod.
Requirements: Hyuuga Clan
Training: 7 days
Special: When performing the Juuken Kempo, you do not add your Strength mod. to your attack bonus, you add your Dexterity mod. instead. Juuken depends on graceful attacks and not on powerful ones. The above is applied to all Hakke techniques. When using Juuken Kempo to break out of certain physical, chakra-based restraints (like the Spider limit's special webs), add Chakra mod. + 2 per 10 Chakra Control ranks to your Escape Artist roll.
