Jak sat down, his back to the room, tossing his glasses on the table. He gazed unseeing at the wall as he proceeded to empty the bottle.

"You know", Lacuna began to whisper at Rei, "Your personality tends to change an awful lot from time to time, almost instantly..", she said before walking off towards the unfamiliar person.

Rei shifted to glare to Lacuna some, setting the bottle aside and lifting his glass. Oh? Well, I'm sorry if that bothers you...he spat before gulping down the contents of the martini glass before throwing it over his shoulder, letting it crash atop a table just a couple away. Appearently it bothers everyone.

Lacuna rolled her eyes and continued her walking, and with a tap to the shoulder she cleared her throat, "Excuse me..", she began, "you wouldn't by any chance have a cigarette I could, welll.. bum.. do you?", she asked chewing on her lip.

Jak stiffened at the familiar voice, slamming the bottle on the table. Pushing up from the chair, he swung around to face her. "I have nothing you want!" he spat at her, grabbing the bottle and taking a large swig, his eyes wild.

Lacuna stood frightened, and taking a few steps back from him felt tears rush down her face.
"The fe.. feelin.. feeling.. is mutual.. then..", she whimpered with her more than obvious lie, she did want Jakkin, however this was not the time to explain that.

Rei watched the two, an eyebrow arced some. That's my cue to leave...he muttered to himself, the bottle reappearing back on the shelf in it's place as he scooted from his seat, shifting to make his exit.

Emptying the bottle, Jak slammed it down again. His gut clenched taut, he forced himself to ignore the tears streaming down her face. "At least we agree on something." His hands shaking, he picked up his glasses and strode to the door, fighting the desire to turn back to her.

"God.. You're such an a**!", she screamed turning in his direction and stomping over to the door to block it. "Quit being a baby and LISTEN!", she said pointing to a chair angerily.

Jak glared at her, ignoring the chair. He stumbled instead to the bar, grabbing another bottle and a glass.

Lacuna pushed Jakkin away from the bar, trying as best as she could to get his attention.
"Listen!", she said, "Perhaps you should stop focusing on how much I deny the truth and think about it in it's entirety for a moment", she said with a frown.
"Jakkin, I love you so much, but I do not share that feeling with Suru. I have tried to make this work for atleast your sake, but I just can't. I don't want to see you like this...", she lifted his chin and sighed.
"I love Suru as a friend, but nothing more and I refuse to deny that any longer..."

Jak shoved her away, stumbling over a chair in his haste to put some distance between them. He dropped into a chair, pushing his hands through his hair. "How can you do this to him..to us?"

"Suru and I both have been doing it", she protested.
"Suru suggested long ago when I was having issues and doubts that you even liked me that he and I flirt, specifically when you were around. I used Suru to get you and Suru used me for the samething. Suru was a friend who used his wit well, he's smart. I however do not with to proceed the relationship with Suru any further", Lacuna sighed and rolled her eyes, she knew that Jakkin just wouldn't understand. Why was she even bothering to explain herself?

Jak closed his eyes with a sigh, willing the ache to stop. His voice soft as he spoke, his vision focused inward. "He never believed he was meant to love..that he should be happy. I cant take that away from him....I wont."

Lacuna nodded, "I will never ask you to Jakkin, I would never ask you to leave Suru, I know that you two love eachother and I'm willing to accept that.." Lacuna closed her eyes tightly trying to fight back tears, she kissed Jakkin lightly on the cheek and smirked for a brief moment.
"I love you.. and I'm so.. so.. sorry...", she bowed her head and walked towards the door.
