Home Town: Saffron, but was living on her families ranch in Kanto.
Personality: Toph is one tough little girl. Because she was born blind she always has people trying to coddle her and she wont take that. She likes to do things her way and on her terms. Even though she is a pretty little girl and looks fragile she is anything but, she is probably the only 12 year old who can kick your butt and make you cry all the way home. Secretly she is afraid of Flying pokemon and being on water because she cannot 'see' them/there.
History: Toph was born blind and her parents being some of the richest people around tried everything they could do to heal her. Eventually they gave up and pretty much locked her up to protect her. One night when she was 4 however while wondering around in the garden's she came across a legendary pokemon, not knowing this of course, she was suprised to hear it ask her a question. 'If you had but one wish what would it be?' Naturally after having her parents be disapointed in her she answered, 'I would like to be able to see.' Unfortuantly that was imposible, saddened the pokemon did the best thing it could do, it allowed Toph to feel the vibration's of the earth below her in order to form a picture in her mind. Befor leaving the pokemon made Toph promise to never tell anyone it was there. Toph readily agree'd and has since then never spoken of her mysterious new sight.
8 year's latter however Toph while happy at being able to 'see' is still thought to be blind by her parent's. While she has perfected her 'vision' she is board of being stuck inside. Unable to convince her parent's to let her leave Toph devised a plan. After a long talk with her parent's she managed to convince them to get her a pokemon for her 'protection'. Her parents after a long search for the perfect pokemon to protect there daughter finally aquired a Zangoose egg. When it hatched it became Toph's personal body gaurd. Now that she had a pokemon she told her parents that she wished to stay at there Kanto ranch where it was quiter for her. Seeing no harm in it her parent's agreed to that as well. When she got there she became friends with Pro. Oak and eventually convinced him to give her a pokemon. After thinking a bit she choose the water pokemon Squirtle. Now with her pokemon set she packed her stuff away and escaped her house ready to have some fun being free.
