Still somewhat confused as to what was going on at the moment, Morrigan suddenly found herself trapped in what looked like pieces of her own floor, constructed into a box around her. Shortly after it appeared, she heard a loud thud hitting it from the outside, cracking it near the upper edge. The coffin fell to the floor on it's back, causing Morrigan to hit her head badly when it landed.

WHAT IS GOING ON?

Soon, dozens of spears shot out from inside the box, flailing wildly to tear the box apart.

Rioushu's foot hit the roof of the coffin a second too late, but he wasn't surprised that Quint had interfered, just annoyed. "Damn you Quint, now you're gonna pay big time boy. Soon as I'm done with the little dominatrix." Rioushu stated loudly, then looked to the coffin.

He summoned his sword to his hand, looking at the coffin almost insanely. He raised his sword above his head, and was about to bring it down when a number of spikes broke out of the coffin. He instead changed the position of the sword to a stabbing position, one he was very familiar. "Gonna stab Gonna stab Gonna stab Gonna stab Gonna stab Gonna stab Gonna stab Gonna stab" Rioushu chanted as he thrust the sword.

Rioushu
"Gonna stab Gonna stab Gonna stab.."

It didn't take a lot of mental process for Quint to figure that out. Rioushu's thrusts could be heard slicing through the battered wood, splinters from it finding their way downstairs. Figuring that Rio was probably upset with his interference, Quint smiled a little as his feet shuffled forward, arms using whatever was nearby for support.

Soon then at the stairs, Quint climbed one at a time, then beginning to move a little faster due to the speed at which Rioushu was gleefully stabbing the makeshift coffin, something he knew now to be a hindrance.

By now the coffin was little more than a pile of splinters due to her spears and Rio's sword. Now she could see what was going on... which, unfortunately, she felt just as much as she saw, because Rio had made a clean stab right into her leg.

"Why you ungrateful little...!" Morrigan started saying as she used her wings to rise to her feet. The manor was collapsing all around them, so Morrigan then stretched out her wings to grab a large, heavy piece of falling stone and used it to smash into Rio from overhead, destroying the floor beneath him as well.

Rioushu was very pleased to see he had managed to get her foot, not realizing she could fly. When she called him 'ungrateful', he looked confused. "Ungrateful?! For what? Stealing my soul and forcing me to do your bidding? I'll let you in on a little secret, being a minion sucks!" Rioushu yelled at her.

He watched as the manor fell, starting to think he should get out of here when he saw Morrigan grab a large stone and throw it at him. "Batter up!" Rioushu exclaimed. swinging the blunt side of his sword at the stone, driving it back up at Morrigan. However, the second effect did go off, and the ground under him did crumble, and Rio went down with it. He managed to land on his feet as when he landed at the main lobby, but he heard, and felt, a loud snap in his right knee. "Ah crap, not good."

(("Being a minion sucks"? What the hell does Rio think he'll be, should he impress Roan?))

Dante had already made his way down to the parlor quite some time ago. As he saw it, Jeshia needed little help in dealing with Rio, and even that was assuming that Rio didn’t take himself out of the fight first with one of his near famous ‘suicide attacks’. Thus, he had decided to return to what he was doing before Quint had entered the mansion unannounced: relaxing with a freshly heated cup of sake. He had even convinced a few of Morrigan’s bats to morph themselves into some made-up reading material to help him pass the time.

When he finally heard the sounds of struggle and conflict from two floors above his head, he instantly knew that they were not from either Rio or Jeshia. Simply put, Rio didn’t have that sort of power to begin with; and while Jeshia would have certainly been destructive if she wanted to be, the sort of violence he heard just wasn’t in line with her style of doing things. He was somewhat annoyed by this, as it was the second interruption today, but at the same time was glad that for once something was going on around the island to break the monotony.

He didn’t even need to make a request of the bats that he held within his hand, for they had already headed off for some of their own reconnaissance. The only thing that he was able to tell them before they were out of his range was that he too would like to know what was going on upstairs. He didn’t have to wait long before the black-bodied servants fluttered back down to him and told him that Morrigan had returned. It also seemed that she was the one responsible for the racquet, although she was simply playing rough to release some of the tension that he recent paperwork duties had caused her to accumulate.

Dante smirked to himself as he thought of a few ways that he himself could ‘release her tension’, but was quickly rattled from those thoughts by an errant Soul Fist erupting through the ceiling at about a 60 degree angle from where he was sitting. Thinking quickly, he hurled the half-full cup of Sake at the spiritual fireball, causing it to explode at a safe distance. He took of quickly for the stairs, narrowly being missed by several more Soul Fists that followed the first. Unfortunately, before he could make it even halfway through the main hallway, a few more of Morrigan’s signature attacks descended and ripped through the flooring at the base of the stairs, effectively cutting off his route to the second floor, and by logic, the third floor as well.

While most people would have cursed such luck, and in fact Dante did, he soon realized that this was a gift in disguise as a large beam of energy cut the upper floors on the mansion in half. He did not know that this was another one of Morrigan’s attacks, having never seen it before, but what he did know was that had he been on the second floor the odds of him being crushed by the falling debris would have increased greatly. For now, Dante had only two options: either leave the mansion via the entrance and get as far away from the falling building, or stay and risk getting crushed. While it should have been obvious what the correct choice was, Dante instead chose to remain where he was. He couldn’t very well become Morrigan’s suitor if she were crushed in all of this chaos; and the likelihood of her walking away from any fight, even one where she stood a great chance of dying, was roughly nil.

Ironically enough, Dante’s chance to provide Morrigan with assistance came sooner than he had anticipated when Rio came crashing through the ceiling and landed in the main lobby. He saw Rio land on his feet, heard the slight sound of the right knee snapping, saw the leg buckle under the man’s own weight. Seeing that instance of weakness, Dante’s eyes lit up as he began to survey the circumstances surrounding him. He was to Rio’s left, slightly behind, and obviously unnoticed as of yet. He could approach without needing to be as quiet as possible, due to the loud noise of the mansion crashing down around them. Since Rio was focusing upwards in Morrigan’s direction, and not behind him, this would be almost too easy.

Dante started walking at a normal pace towards Rio. Though he may not have needed it, Morrigan’s bats flattened themselves against the floor and moved as each of Dante’s feet did, silencing his steps far more than he would have been able to on his own. He waited until he was almost on top of his victim, though still behind so that Rio would have to go out of his way to see the attack. Without warning, Dante swung his right leg at the back of Rio’s left knee, knowing that since Rio’s other leg had ‘bummed out’ he would be far easier to take down. At the same time, Dante aligned his right elbow with Rio’s throat and threw himself backwards into an elbow drop. The intention of this attack was for Rio to hit the ground on his back and seconds later have Dante’s elbow, with all of Dante’s weight behind it no less, force Rio’s ‘Atom’s Apple’ back into his own throat. The result would be near instant suffocation, and obviously death. If Rio was not meant to die on this day, and it happened anyway, he would simply have to apologize to Jeshia at a later time.

((Against Roan, Take, Rayth, and Legion (which is at least 1000)? Two minds ain't s**t. Besides, the mind that's in your p***s isn't much to speak of anyway.

Oh, yes. I went there.))

A stray, rather large piece of debris hits the ground in front of Quint, it blocking his route upstairs. He was starting to give the rock a taste of Alchemy, when another crash diverted his attention downstairs. Though he couldn't see either person, he knew that it had to be Rioushu and Morrigan. Turning around, he called for a few of his helpers, they staying in batty form while Quint did the thing he thought would get him down the fastest--Leaping.

It was half-assed, but worked, Quint now over the railing, the bats slowing his fall by tugging on the good parts of his clothing. Once back down, he saw with some disdain Rioushu literally on his last leg, and maybe even about to lose that one, with Dante close behind and striking. It would have been simple to jump in, but instead Quint thought to keep the whole house from crushing everyone, causing a draw.

Due to the difficulty in fusing together parts that push together at different times, Quint had to close his eyes, keeping focus on each part of the structure he wanted to save.

((Well, I haven't fallen though. I'm still on the top floor.))

Morrigan let go of the stone, stepping out of the way and letting it fall. She walked up to the hole Rio had fallen though and peered down.

"Hmm... Dante even. At least someone around here can see that boy needs some manners. I'll have to thank him for this later."

She took a seat on the floor to watch, her legs dangling through the gap in the floor and her wings providing a shield from the falling debris coming from above.

This place won't hold together for too much longer...
