She blinked, the quaffle was in her hands in that split second. She tucked the red ball under her arm and flew hard, trying to reach the other side of the field so she could pass the quaffle back to one of her teammates and make a score before anyone could steal from her and interfere.

Tanya blinked and all of a sudden not only was the quaffle not in her hands that Slytherin guy had already passed it to the other girl! Groaning she made eye contact with Rosabella and grinned motioning her head to get on the other side of the first year so just in case she did manage get it she could pass. And if she didn't, well the girl would be there to go at her herself.

Woah, her adrenaline spiked. It felt like her heart was pumping into her brain, she could even feel it tingle in her fingertips as she held the quaffle closer. She was actually almost there! But, now it was decision time, should she try to shoot and epically fail? Or should she pass and hope it doesn't get stolen in the process? She bit her lip and fumbled with the red ball before finally deciding to shoot and score. Here goes nothing, she thought and aimed for the right hoop.

He perked up at the sight of an oncoming chaser. He had to snicker when he realized how young the serpent was as she tried to line up her shot, and he could easily see where she planned to aim it. He braced himself and jolted his broom forward to catch the quaffle out of the air.

Boom, baby! He laughed aloud. Effortlessly, both arms clasped around the red sphere and snatched it out of the air. He adjusted his position on the field and moved closer to the center of the pitch as he scanned the players and opponents nearby. He caught sights with Rosabella and tossed the quaffle towards her.

Seeing Jaslyn dodge yet another bludger he was beginning to wish she'd actually get hit. Not that he wished that on anybody but it would certainly help him out or at least give him more time. There! Jaslyn spotted the snitch and went into full on seeker mode. She sped forward and as she darted towards it, it darted off and downwards. She slipped into a dive following it.

The snitch flung right and she veered her broom in a sharp turn, nearly throwing herself off of it in the process. She clung with her fingers tight around the handle as she stared at the snitch, never losing track of it.

However she was already pretty close to the snitch and it would take a lot to catch up. David rushed forward and after the snitch. His hopes on getting to it were high but could he get there in time before Jaslyn caught it? Drat! She cursed, accidentally bit her tongue, and then cursed again at the pain. Something dark lingered in her brown eyes for those few seconds, and then it was gone. She shook her head, the flyaway hairs slapped at her eyes and tangled in her lashes as she swerved from Rosabella’s left to her right, hoping to try and swerve in from a different angle to steal back the quaffle. Hopefully, she’ll have a better chance this time.

  Rosabella flew near Tanya, watching as a Slytherin chaser attempted to steal from her teammate. The second year flinched as she saw that he succeeded in taking the ball. The two Gryffindors made eye contact and nodded, each one knowing what they should do. Once Tanya had tried stealing the quaffle back, the Slytherin girl sped up and threw it towards their goalpost. Crash seemed to have caught it quite effortlessly before passing to Rosabella, who took off in the opposite direction once she caught it.
