Andarien blinked again, then eyed the bag in Earendil's hand. He yawned. "Then can I go to sleep?" he asked, shifting so that his feet were dangling over the edge of the window seat, though he himself remained laying down (which in Earendil's opinion did not look at all comfortable).
Earendil smiled at him. "When you're in your own room," he told him; and then he repeated it in the Common Tongue, hoping the boy would learn from the repetition.
Andarien eyed the bag again, and then he shifted slightly as if trying to wiggle his way off the edge of the seat.

"The sooner you do the sooner you can sleep," Lin spoke in Common Tongue only to repeat herself in Common Elvish.
She did feel sorry for the kid, he was sort of flying by the seat of his pants on his languages. They didn't have the kind of time they had while sailing.

Andarien pushed himself off the seat and trudged across the room again, then held his hands up to Earendil obediently for his bag.
Earendil chuckled and placed the bag in the boy's hands. "There you go. Now come on, let's get you and Miyuki settled in, shall we?"
Andarien stared at his father until Earendil translated for him, and then he nodded and tucked his bag under one arm and held his other hand up to Earendil.
"Carry me," he said flatly.
Earendil sighed. "Fine, but only because I know it's been a long week for you." He picked up the boy and hefted him in his arms. "Ready, Miyuki?" he asked, switching back to the Common Tongue and turning to look at his daughter.

Miyuki already had her bag, she was eager to poke around in the room seh was going to be sharing with Andarien because that was really half the fun about being in a new room to begin with.
"I'm ready!" she chirped as she hopped from side to side.

Earendil chuckled and put one hand on Miyuki's head. "It's good to see that the heat doesn't get to everyone," he grinned. "Come on."
When he led Miyuki into the hall, Amora was still showing some of the others to their rooms, though there were only a few people left without one. He opened Miyuki and Andarien's door and held it wide for Miyuki to head in first.
"After you," he grinned.

It wasn't like it was Miyuki's first time in hot weather, granted it had been a while since she had been in a place like the Eastland. Miyuki quickly pattered into the room, whirling around to get a good glimpse of the room before dropping her bag off beside the bed.
Once she did that, she began to explore it instead of unpacking.

The room was set out much like Earendil and Lin's room: a large bed; a cushioned window seat next to a window that overlooked the castle courtyard; a writing desk and chair; a couch and several sitting chairs; a large wardrobe; and a bedside table on each side of the bed.
Earendil put Andarien down on the bed, and the boy curled up in a ball and closed his eyes. Earendil smiled and took his bag and set it aside. They could put his clothes away later when he was awake, so that he would know where they were.
"Well, Miyuki?" he asked with a gentle smile. "What do you think?"

Miyuki hopped onto the window seat to peer out onto the courtyard, her tails waving back and forth.
"This is really, I like the view," Miyuki replied as she settled down a bit to sit by the window.

Out in the courtyard, a tall, dark-haired young man was wandering in the neatly ordered flower garden with a slightly smaller fair-haired woman, whose arm was linked with his.
In another corner of the garden, behind a row of roses, a dark haired woman was sitting on a pile of pillows and reading a book, partially shaded by a parasol.
Earendil smiled at Miyuki. "Planning on making yourself comfortable there while we rest up?"

Miyuki looked up at her ada thoughtfully before looking back out into the garden.
"I guess, will you all be resting for long?"
She had Senka for sure to play with she supposed, but she didn't want to be sitting here for too long.

Earendil smiled at Miyuki. "I don't know," he admitted honestly. "But if you get really bored, remember you're welcome to explore the castle. If you get lost or if you're looking for something or someone in particular, you could always ask someone. There are plenty of guards everywhere, after all."
Sure he didn't feel as tired as say Andarien, but on the other hand it had been a while since he'd been able to sleep in a bed, and it was quite possible that he would fall into a deep sleep.

Miyuki seemed to perk up at that idea, then she could take Senka with her, even though Senka was already taking a cat nap.
"Okay! I'd like that."

Earendil smiled. "Good. Then we'll see you later. Here, if you're still here when we check on Andarien, and at dinner if not."
He left the room, closing the door behind himself so that the room would be quiet for Andarien to sleep.

In the end, Miyuki just couldn't sit there long enough to not go out and explore the castle. Though she did decide (fortunately) to leave Senka behind.
She wanted to see what else to the castle there was, as it was very different from the Westland castle. Specifically though, she wanted to see the courtyard she could see from the window.

One of the guards outside Miyuki's door guided her to the courtyard, but once they reached the courtyard he left her to her own devices. He had a post to get back to, and there were other guards in the area if she needed further direction.
The courtyard was quite large, bigger than it looked from her window, though from the entranceway not much of it could be seen. There was a path of the same brown rock that the castle was made from that led forward, and similarly to the paths in the Westland city of Chansond'eau, there were small trickles of water flowing alongside the path. There were flowers everywhere, and the path led through an archway of blue roses before branching off to both sides, and rose hedges blocked the view of what lay beyond that.
