Lord Dragonbane ~Mizz Jessi~ Lord Dragonbane It's all about Japanese. Since they are the folks who brought us Tales of Symphonia. I speak American. Yes, technically it's "English" but we've changed it so much it just isn't the same, especially us southern folk. xd

Most of us just let go of our vowels and drop our G's. But then there's the people from places like Louissiana (sp?) who speak like, "Oh mah! I dinin' thank i' was tha' way!?" Anyone care to try n' translate that? blaugh

What I hate is when books write in accents and you have to struggle to read what everyone's saying..... so tedious.....

Daetur Aduid What I hate is when books write in accents and you have to struggle to read what everyone's saying..... so tedious..... Yeah. It's fine in moderation, if it's mostly just the occasional local expression thrown in, but when they insist on spelling everything phonetically? Eurgh.

It's fine in moderation, if it's mostly just the occasional local expression thrown in, but when they insist on spelling everything phonetically? Eurgh. I had a horrible time with The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in 7th grade.... bad memories. Great Expatations is what we have to read for shcool now. It's also kinda bad about accenting people's speech.
