Thanks, Harvey.

The idea for the drawing was of an idea I had of both sides of my Moods I have (Dark / Light) and as well to do with masks and the discussion some of us had in another posting to do with masks.

The skull part I went to our public liberary and got a picture from stock photos of a skull which was incredibly helpful in having a model in front of me to work with. (The skull I used was from what I had on info a skull from a pirate somewhere like 1700's early 1800's thats skelleton was fond buried on a beach.

A frenchman, I am guessing from his name.

Ah when I first saw your drawing I was reminded of theatre masks

And the teeth reminded me of Pirates of the Carribean

Wow that was an interesting research project you did at the library. What makes you think the 1700-1800s skeleton found on a beach was a Frenchman?

The picture of the theater masks were a part of what I though of when I was drawing the mask though it ended up being a bit different when I finished draswing the mask part.

His name was French, but sadly I cant find the original place the picture came from. sweatdrop

Wow you sure did put across the thought of the theater masks in your drawing. What size is the skull-face drawing? And do you frame any of your drawings?

I wanted to do a mask that was like the theater masks since they both had a sort of double mood (Happy / Sad) simalr to the idea I had for the drawing and when I got down to the final things I added for the design on the mask I sort of twiked the mouth a bit and made the eye a bit different to when I finally got it the way I wanted it.

I have framed only 2 of them but they were a long time ago and they were drawn for my Mom.

Sort of two early drawing that showed my interest in drawing when I was younger.***

***(One is a Aquarium we have in our living room with the fish included in the drawing and another is a drawing I did for my mom the other day for her B-Day the (22 of April) I decided to draw her a pink rose. ^8^)

The skull/mask drawing is about palm sized on a full sized sheet of drafting/drawing paper.

I only really had two problems but they were so minor neither ended up showing up very much in the finished drawing.-------------(I managed to mask them.) lol sorry bad pun. sweatdrop

One, was that I realized I had to go back and change the inside of the eye socket on the skull side which I had just shaded in, I realized it had a bone structure inside which made it seem like it had more depth with it included so I changed that. 3nodding

Two, I had to work and add a bit more lines to the bone structure of his facial features on the skull side, which has natuaral fissures and growth lines in the bone which some of it I got right others I had to change or add a bit more shading to. 3nodding

You know a lot about anatomy. Impressive. Have you looked at Leonardo da Vinci's anatomy drawings? He's amazing.

Haha you masked them. I usually don't like puns but that was a good one!

You sure are versatile -- pink rose, skull/face.

Do you have anything special planned for Mother's Day this weekend?

3nodding I know a little about anatomy, some of it is basic stuff some of it is a little bit more important to a living body.

Yes, he is an amazing artis and has the best anatomy drawings a lot of them are so articulated it would be hard not to understand how the body works. 3nodding

^8^ I am mostly good at flowers and a bit of abstrcat stuff, but I am getting better recently with face shots and some body work. ^8^

Going to carefully Sat. sneak out side and cut a rose and put it in a vase for my Mom on Mother's Day. ^8^

3nodding I usually do catch these things, either while drawing (Which I fix immeadiatly.) or after I am finished (Which I make an effort to look over the entire drawing before I entirely quit drawing on a drawing.)
