Dona swooped in front of Arekku protectively, "Erm... Dona... I think Glint is our best bet..." He returned her quickly and held Glint's pokeball in his hand.

tommy felt the crystal in his pocket. it started glowing. the center crystal did also, even brighter. he took it out, and gently threw it towards the salamance, to give it back. it landed 5 feet away from the behemoth. "no fighting, arrek, unless completely nessacary." tommy urged.

Arekku barked at Tommy, "You think I don't know that!?" Not upsetting any pokemon.

Cody looked at Arekku. "An Ice Type versus a Salamence isn't going to do you much good. You want a non-ice type that knows an Ice move."

He turned his head, "Then I'll use Kenter if it helps any..." He swaped pokeballs now holding Kenter's pokeball tight. "Ehm... Tommy! If you just stand there like a dunce you know you're going to get hurt!"

Sammy puffed out her chest. "I'm not gonna stand around here being intimidated by that pokemon! We don't plan on hurting anything, so we have no reason to be attacked!" she harrumphed, sticking her head into the air while walking closer to the Salamence. Still, not too close.

"Keep it in your pocket," Cody said, trying not to give off any intention of wanting to fight. The less violence there was, the better. Plus, they were in the Salamence's home. They were guests. Respect was a big thing. He looked over at Sammy and said, "I would chill out if I were you. You're giving off the wroooooong vibe right now and they aren't liking it." He looked around, seeing all the smaller pokemon growling. This wasn't good.

I send out Xatu to translate the conversation that is sure to follow. With any luck, Salamence is as good a diplomat as he is a fighter.
(All English courtesy of Xatu) "Why have you come?! You greedy humans invade our home and steal our crystals. Though we have done nothing to you, you still come." "Please forgive these foolish creatures. They are curious about things they do not understand, and often behave rashly when confronted with something new." "Curiosity and foolishness are no excuses! This planet is rife with humans and their insatiable greed. HA! 'Curiosity' you say? Those fools barged in with their steel claws and stole from us. Why should we let you leave?" "I make no excuses. This domain is yours, but it adjoins theirs as well. The humans came here exploring the mountains and found you." "Their domain?! You would play the comedian? We have seen this entire island and there are no human dwellings." "They dwell beneath the bay in the south." "Oh? We have seen that metal construct in days long past. We thought it abandoned. But if the humans have indeed taken shelter there once more...." "All the more reason to coexist peacably?" "That remains to be seen! For they still came and took our crystals. The damage cannot be undone." "If what is done cannot be undone, then how can we make amends?" "Hm.... If you humans can prove your strength, then we shall let you leave with the crystals. But you must promise never to steal from us again!"
A group of other dragons flies in behind the lead Salamence. A handful of Shellgon also arrive. Pick an opponent within your team's abilities and defeat it, but don't catch it.

"This might be a good time to consider why we're even here." Ginji noted as he turned to Tommy, who apparently was leading them still. Larvitar had noticed the big Salamence, and was not scared anymore for whatever reason. Then the little guy ran over behind the huge Pokemon and started to climb on it's tail, eventually reaching its back, and then its head.
From the top of the Salamence's head, Larvitar jumped up and down, waving to the other Aqua members below. The little guy thought it was all a game.

"You hear that, everyone?" I yell to the team, "Stealing is a bad idea! They'll let us leave if we can prove our strength, but don't take any more crystals than you already have."
Salamence was ready and raring to prove itself to the shiny one.

Sammy grinned a bit. "Oh boy! A big battle!" she cried, walking over to one of the Salamence. She bowed politely, seeing the favor returned by the equally polite pokemon. This would be fun. She took out a pokeball, and the battle began.

As the Salamence came towards him he whipped Kenter's pokeball out tossing it (stylishly) to reveal the Mantine. "Okay so let's get to the battlin' part!"
