Lacuna raised a brow with a questionable expression and shrugged. Magic wasn't foreign to her, especially with her history, but this was still rather strange.
"Are you always so obscene?", she asked. "T'was a joke precious, money is nothing in this damned town or life", she said before returning to her thoughts for a moment.

Obscene? Rei laughed, looking to Lacuna before sipping from his not-so-alcoholic beverage. What do you consider 'obscene'? Because...I don't consider myself that. he mumbled to her, eyeing her as he took another sip.

"Abrupt, abusive, bad-mannered, barbarian, barbaric, blunt, boorish, brusque, brutish, cheeky, you know.. obscene", she mocked. Lacuna chuckled and lit a cigarette before propping her feet on a chair.
"Who are you anyhow?", she question exhaling the smoke. "I don't believe I've seen you before."

Rei looked to Lacuna a long moment before chuckling, shaking his head to her. You shouldn't go about memorizing the dictionary...and my name is Reiku, if such knowledge is neccessary.

"Normally I would go about saying it's a pleasure to meet you, however..", she joked this time finishing off her cigarette as she yawned.

However, I'm a barbaric, ill-mannered, abusive person and it hasn't been? he laughs, the thoughts rather amusing to him, as he'd never considered himself anything more than harshly honest.

Lacuna sighed standing and with a small wave walked to her original seat at the bar. Lacuna felt her heart drop suddenly and let her head fall into her palms in hushed sobs.

Lacuna's reaction confused Rei, and he shifted his glass towards the middle of the table and watched her a moment before shifting from his seat and making his way closer, an odd reaction on his part. Are...you alright? he asked, placing a pale hand on Lacuna's shoulder.

Lacuna shivered at the touch and bit her lip in an attempt to gather herself once more, she made eye contact for a brief moment and with a nod she returned her gaze to her palms.

Rei sighed and nodded some, shaking his head before pulling himself to a stool next to her. Are you sure? Maybe...You should get home, where it's safe? He wasn't sure why he was so adament to be nice to this girl, but he was.

Lacuna felt her hand tremble as she lit yet another cigarette and took a long drag off of it.
"Safe?", she questioned, "What do you care anyhow.. don't you have better things to do?", she could barely keep her voice from cracking between words, but tried as best as she could to do so.

Pushing through the doors, Jak moved straight to the bar, his head down. He walked around behind, grabbing a bottle before heading to a corner, not looking up.

Rei mumbled incoherently to himself and glared to the end of Lacuna's cigarette, extinguishing it before shifting off the stool. I'm sure I do have better things to do, somewhere...Like back at my comfortable little booth over in the corner. he hissed, moving around the counter to grab a bottle of vodka before returning to his seat, looking to Jak a moment before slinking into the booth.

Lacuna sighed and threw the cigarette, or what was left at it, at Rei angerily meanwhile, catching a glimpse of someone she hadn't noticed was in the bar before. Lacuna had used all of her cigarettes and thought for a moment, perhaps they could loan her one.

Rei glared and shot the cigarette back to Lacuna, letting it land just beside her on the counter before pouring himself a martiniglass full of vodka.
