Ryou tensed further, but slowly stopped trembling. he looked emotionlessly at Kira, the boy who had once loved her dearly, the boy who had once tried to kill her. None of his previous actions, of both love and near murder, showed on his face now.

Kira smiled softly.She knew that ryou would most likly never be normal agian but..deep inside..she couldent acept that.For some reason she knew her ryou was in there..somewere. "do you need anything?" she asked softly.

Ryou's expression turned almost shy as he shook his head faintly, glancing down at the floor, not meeting Kira's gaze. He was able to relax, just a little bit, still hugging his knees.

After a long stretch of silence, in which Ryou was studying Kira carefully, the boy asked in a timid voice, "Who are you?"

Kira blinked and opened her eyes.Looking over to him she smiled softly "I am kira.."

Ryou nodded slightly, then tears filled his eyes for a moment. In a shaky, faint voice, he asked, "Then... who am I?" He seemed very distressed not to know who he even was, but not too alarmed at that fact.

"Why does it hurt?" Ryou asked, then took a hold of Kira's hand, placing it against his chest. She would be able to feel his heartbeat, and he took in a shaking breath. "Right there. It hurts me."

Kira frowned her eyes turning soft "you've been threw alot ryou.." she said softly. "Alot of things you shouldent have too.." she shook her head "There are lots of reasons why it hurts ryou..."

Ryou fell silent once more, biting his bottom lip. His grip on Kira's hand loosened, though he still rested his over hers. Tears were still pooled in the corners of his eyes, and he blinked them away, his gaze slowly becoming blank and emotionless once more.

kira gently moved her other hand so it was resting over his."It will be alright ryou...somehow" she said once agian.

Ryou jumped in alarm when there was a loud knock at the door, and hardly heard what Kira said. He shrank away from the direction of the door, pressing his lips firmly together. It seemed that he wasn't about to talk any more.

Kira gently patted his hand "its alright" she said softly and got up.She then opened the door "yes?"

An angry-looking Air stood before Kira. Her eyes, however, weren't the blue color they were before, however. They were a dark brown, almost black in color. There was also something in the way she stood, the expression on her face. "What the hell is going on here?!" She hissed in an undertone.
