"You did seem pretty exhausted afterwards," Maia said. "Are there others at HQ? I've never met them."
She scooped Seamus up and gave him a proper cuddle. "I missed you, too," she said. Poor kitty, he'd been lonely. She set a bowl of food down for him and put him down, looking to Lori.
"Yeah," she said, and went to their room to fetch a set of clothes. Poor Toby'd been stuck in his ridiculous outfit the whole time. "Maybe grab Dari something?"

"Magic-users? There aren't many. Not at HQ, but at other bases of operations," Lori said with a shrug. He went to investigate Dari's bag but found him lacking any sort of normal clothing. Long-sleeved button-ups, slacks...
"Could you actually grab something for Dari from Toby's stuff? They're pretty much the same size." Like a t-shirt or something. Something normal that wouldn't make him too hot or too cold if he was suddenly able to feel such things.

Maia selected a t-shirt and a pair of pants. "I'd forgotten Dari mostly wears work clothes," she admitted, as she left their room and looked for Seamus. "Kitty, are you ready to go?" Seamus would like Breyer, there was no doubt; it was beautiful.

"You'll have to bring him shopping," Lori said, coming out in a change of clothes. 'Would you mind if I actually called Luca really quick? It's--" He looked at the clock. "Well. Leave him a message at least."
Seamus meowed and stepped on Maia's shoes half as if kneading them, half as if stamping impatiently.

"I don't mind taking him shopping," Maia said, almost happily. Actually, that sounded fun! Buying every day clothes for Dari. "Neither of them wanted to shop the first time we went to the mall, having someone to shop with will be fun."
"Go ahead and call him," Maia smiled at Lori and bent down to cuddle Seamus. "You're grouchy," she told the cat sidhe, "Did you miss us?"

Seamus did a hopping dance akin to a ferret's and ran off into the bedroom. Lori watched him go, shook his head, and dialed Luca from is now-active cellphone.

Luca answered the phone on the first ring. While he didn't recognize the number, the only person that had his was Lori. Well, besides the library, but they didn't call at this hour. Ever.
"Lori?" There was the sound of moving fabric as Luca sat up. He'd been about to prop open a book, and had been laying in bed.

Lori's voice immediately lit with affection.
"Hey, Babe! I didn't expect you to be up! I'm sorry I didn't call sooner. Things got a little complicated. We're staying in a rath."

"I couldn't sleep," Luca admitted, "I found a good book, though, started reading it--" he paused, blinking. "You're staying in a rath?" he asked. "What happened to the hotel?"

"Nothing. It's just... things went a little weird during the ritual? Dari sort of puddled out so he's recuperating in the rath. The last we saw he was just working on details. We're going to Breyer to try out his ring, though, once we get it back." Forgetting about the angry cat sidhe stomping around the bedroom, he plopped down on the couch.

"Puddled?" Luca echoed, sounding concerned. He knew Dari was a sentient liquid-person but puddling didn't sound good. "I'm glad he's alright," he said. "How'd the ritual go otherwise? Are you alright?" he asked.

"That probably sounds worse than it was." It was horrible. He would never forget that sound. "He was self-contained and rolled his way to the room and they're there right now. There's no service there we're so far out, but I wanted to call you. I'm fine. I needed a nap but everything's going good right now."

"Maybe," Luca agreed. Hearing your friend had turned into a puddle was pretty alarming. "Tell him I say hello, alright?" he asked, then said, "I'm glad you did," he smiled into the phone. "I love you, Lori. Be safe and look after yourself for me."

"Goodnight love," Luca really didn't want to hang up, but it sounded like Lori was fairly busy. He hung up the phone and snuggled into the blankets with his book.
Maia had gathered a few more extra outfits, one for her and Toby. "Ready?" she asked.
