I think it's appropriate for the White Mage to sparkle. Though I don't think I care terribly much for the item otherwise.

Old Man KB There are a lot of variables. An important thing to remember is that swordplay doesn't revolve around singular motions. So a perfect attack with a sword can easily be blocked or countered, as is the nature of all attacks, but if the attack leads into another attack as is intended, it has achieved its purpose. If I step in with my sword across to lock blades for example, in a mock attack, it's a perfect attack if it closes the distance so that I can strike with the pommel. Or if I parry and twist to slash down the opposite side of the defending blade. Like I said, variables. Even attacks that leave you open for a counter, if they serve their purpose, are perfect. You count on that opening and you get your enemy to exploit it in your favor. Poor warriors look at the immediate picture, whilst great warriors look at it like a chess game. You need to give and take. All right. Point well taken. In other words it's like baiting the foe into performing something within expectations. All good in theory, but unfortunately, it's frighteningly hard to execute without fail. xP

I'm going to skip the whole "an attack is made to kill>Perfect is doing something in the quickest, most complete way possible>a perfect attack kills immediately>this never happens on gaia except when you go "I STAB YOU IN THE THROAT" in a "Rate the avatar above you" GD thread> therefore I don't agree".
And, instead, just say "yes". "Yes" to whatever we're talking about.

Indeed. I find however that in swordplay its a lot easier on Gaia then in other combat styles. Especially with the katana, given its unique dueling style. Armored targets can make it someone annoying, but against soft targets you should have little difficulty.
Though, my personal preference extends to the b*****d sword or longsword.

Old Man KB Hael got me all excited with this Shaco horror story, and then... BAD SHACO, HOHO-
Actually, I think you'd enjoy facing a good player with the new champ Kag'Maw, given he's an anti-tank by nature.

I'unno about all of that, God. If someone set you up with the perfect attack opportunity, you could probably end it rather quickly. Maybe not in one post, per say.
Wait, why the hell am I explaining this? You're God, you know everything!

Old Man KB There are hundreds of perfect attacks. Absurd by default.
A perfect attack launched against another perfect attack is a flaw.

Quote: I find however that in swordplay its a lot easier on Gaia then in other combat styles I feel the syntax in this sentence is a bit awry, so I'm going to assume you mean swordfighting is one of the easier ways to fight on gaia. And to that? Yeah, I can see it maybe? I think for most people, whatever you know is the easiest. I prefer non-grappling hand-to-hand because I have a handle on the basic strategy and some of the commonly used lingo. Swordfighting on Gaia ends up being two people who understand that a dead on hit from either of them means the other one loses. So swordfights are inclined to be engagements where people don't always go for instant death strikes, because it's sorta cheap. And in that, I can see why swords are fun.
