Ah, I'm sorry about that. Well, hopefully things will get better for you in the future.

Yeah, me too. I am not going to stop trying, but at the moment I am a bit disheartened.

*weak smile* I hate this, but have no choice. I'm growing to hate hope. Hope is what keeps me going and saying I might do better with the next degree. I thought that with my bachelor's degree, then again with the Master's.

I can understand your frustrations, but, without hope, what do you have left?

I always liked the Lantern Corps and the emotional spectrum idea.

I just did a little reading, and it's neat how the blues working with the greens supports them both.

I also like how some emotions literally cancel each other out. Yellow cancels green, blue cancels red . . .
Of course, I also love the idea of Dex-starr, the red lantern cat. He has a truly tragic story, and grew on me quickly.

I knew about how adversarial Yellow and Green were, since they were the original 2 colors, but I didn't know other oppositions existed (aside from white beating black and black beating everything else).

I'm not sure to what extent the rivalries go . . . but could research that. I just know that "hope" nullifies rage, so the presence of a Blue Lantern ring negates virtually everything a Red Lantern can do. This made several battles in the animated show turn in the good guy's favor and served as a great plot device in an episode where the Red Lantern Razr (good guy, actually) went to the Blues to try and solve his issues with rage. In the episode, the AI he actually did love was damaged by a baddie, and Razer's rage was strong enough to momentarily give him powers despite being literally 100 yards from the source of all Blue energy, the Blue power battery. I loved that moment. The show was truly impressive.
I don't think anything nullifies orange (greed), but I do know that the Indigo tribe that is based on compassion can emulate any lantern near them with the exception of black and white. For black lanterns, you have to be dead, and the white ones are to resurrect people.

Well, I know Sinestro, founder and leader of the Yellows, is very much for destroying the Greens.
Oh yeah, I saw an in-depth review of that show. It was neat that there was a good Red.
There's also only ever been 1 Orange ever, as far as I know.

Well, yes and no to the Orange. From what I understand, there was an Orange lantern Corps, but the nature of the greed and orange light led to the corps imploding. At the end, only one lantern remained- Larfleeze. The orange battery gives him all it's power, and he is known to create hardlight copies of Orange lanterns, so there is still a corps . . . it just all belongs to Larfleeze.
GL: The Animated Series was truly superb. The feels. By all that's holy, the feels. I, like so many others, bemoan that there was not a continuation.

Ah, I see, very interesting, and it makes a great deal of sense.
Sadly it seems like some of the best shows get canceled far too soon, while some of the worst shows seem to go on far longer than necessary.
