Tonight I went out and got my fashion on with a close friend of mine. We did a little gossiping, a lot of shop talk, and then a lot of fashion talk (of course!).
Over in a**-end-of-nowhere-Minneapolis, two designers put on a fabulous show sponsored by a lot of my favorite stores. What this meant was an open bar, donated by UV Vodka (ok, not great vodka, but whatever), a really spectacular light show (I took some video of just the light show it was so good, and yet not distracting during the actual walks) and a lot of good freebies.
...we may have stolen the freebies.
We has second row Special Tickets, which meant seated. The level above us was VIP, which meant first row and a goody bag. They didn't quite sell out of those tickets, so we took the VIP bag that was in front of us. Mostly very good coupons, and a free pair of headphones! We consider it liberated.
The show was fabulous. The first designer was more understated, lots of neutrals but with some very interesting designers, especially with pinning. The second designer had a lot of pleating details and poppy bright colors and prints. Bionic Unicorn did the accessories for the second designer but I didn't recognize any of her work. All the models did carry little monster plushes, but I don't think she makes those.
At any rate, my friend and I agreed this was the show stopper:

They have a boutique in the city carrying their lines, and while it'll probably be too expensive to buy, i'm going to go try it on anyway.
