Maddy noticed Rose coming up onto the roof and put out her smoke real quick, putting it in her pocket for later.
"I just thought it would be interesting to sit on the roof today." She said as Rose approached and asked her what she was doing.
She stood up and pocketed her TADS.
"It sure is a nice day. Perfect day to run back to Lumiose and grab a parcel from Professor Sycamore, I say."
She walked around to the other side of the roof so she was peering down at Caleb and his Marshtomp.
"Hey!" She called out to him.

Caleb looked up whenever he heard Maddy. He squinted up at the rooftop before nodding. "Hey..." he answered. He took out his glasses before putting them back on. Much better.

She called out to him. "You're the boss, boss." Rose smiled at Maddy "And besides that, seeing Professor Sycamore sounds fun, I was just thinking that I was a bit bored." "Ivy..." Rose's Ivysaur carefully crossed the roof and joined Rose and Maddy.

Maddy walked near the edge of the roof and, after doing a few quick calculations, jumped and landed safely on the ground, rolling to break the fall. She stood back up and brushed some dirt from her clothes.
"Caleb, wanna go grab a parcel from Professor Sycamore's lab with us? He's too busy to drop it off himself."

MaddyMage Maddy walked near the edge of the roof and, after doing a few quick calculations, jumped and landed safely on the ground, rolling to break the fall. She stood back up and brushed some dirt from her clothes. "Caleb, wanna go grab a parcel from Professor Sycamore's lab with us? He's too busy to drop it off himself." Rose asked her Ivysaur to lower her back to the ground with its vines and it carefully did so, then she recalled Ivysair back into its Pokeball and looked to Maddy and Caleb"Hello" she said to Caleb, smiling as she greeted him

Caleb glanced at his Marshtomp who gave him a nod and a wide grin. Caleb let out a sigh. "Sure...why not?" he replied. He didn't have much else to do at the moment anyways. He waved to Rose.

"Well, let's go then. It shouldn't take long at all." Maddy said with a smile, turning on her heel and heading towards the exit to Anistar City.
"Caleb, you seem a little off. Is something wrong?"
As team leader, it was Maddy's job to make sure all of her team members were well and okay. It got her thinking about who was supposed to make sure she was well and okay.
As they walked, they passed by the large Anistar City sundial. It caught the sunlight beautifully, but Maddy couldn't help but sense a strange power from it. What mysteries did the sundial hold?

Maddy was focused on Caleb at the moment, so Rose allowed herself to be a bit entranced by the Sundial as they walked together, it was indeed a sight to behold, and like Maddy, Rose wondered if it held some sort of secret.

He nodded and gathered his things before he started walking with Maddy and Rose.
"Never better," Caleb replied. He was a bit taken aback by her question, but didn't let it show. Caleb's Marshtomp started putting on his best Garchomp impression until Caleb recalled him back to his poke ball. After letting off some steam from training, he felt a bit better. He just needed some time to cool down more after certain events that happened at Lysandre's cafe.
"Do you know anything about the parcel that we're picking up?" he asked.

Rose looked away from the sundial and at Caleb "Oh, oh, do you think he learned more about the legendary Pokemon of Kalos? That would certainly be very useful" she suggested hopefully

"We're picking up some scanners to help track down Xerneas and Yveltal." She said. "It may give us the upper hand on Lysandre finally."
"Although, by the sounds of it, he may have already found one..." She though in secret.
They left Anistar City and were well on their way to Lumiose when Maddy stopped suddenly.
"What legendary Pokemon are you two interested in meeting?" She asked. "I'm interested in Xerneas myself. As long as I don't get marked again."

Caleb shrugged, "that'd be nice." He wouldn't mind learning more about them.
He blinked a bit when Maddy mentioned devices to help them track the legendary pokemon. He still wasn't too sure what she meant by 'marked', but could only assume he'd find out eventually without asking. Maybe.
"Xerneas." Caleb answered right away. "Don't get me wrong...I wouldn't mind meeting Yvetal as well...but I'd choose a bringer of life over the harbinger of death any day."

Maddy smiled at their responses. "I suppose we're on the same level then." She continued onward. "I wonder what it would be like to live for all eternity..." She tried to imagine what it be like to outlive all your friends and family, but the thought of having no friends left made her a little sad. "..." -- Eventually, they made it to Lumiose City. As always, the city was vibrant and alive, filled with crowds. "This city just never changes..." Maddy muttered, shoving her hands in her pockets as she walked. Professor Sycamore's lab wasn't too far. "I keep forgetting you two weren't there for the big Legendary Pokémon showdown in Hoenn..." She said, out of the blue. "This will be your first Legendary Pokémon encounter, right?"

"This will be your first Legendary Pokémon encounter, right?" Rose shook her head "Not exactly. When I was in the Oblivia Region I visited this Volcano where a Moltres is said to live. I think I heard it call once from inside the Volcano once, but I never actually saw it. I also visited two other sites where an Articuno and a Zapdos were said to live, but I neither saw nor heard them, only the Moltres, I think."
