yikes! hanging in there? sad there's been sickness going around it seems.

I'm good now; I figured out how to reduce the nausea. (Bread+water, as well as taking it long after I take the other antibiotic). It's the Amoxicillin/Clavulanic acid combo pill I'm taking for my neck-lump that makes me feel sick. But, I think that it's actually working this time.

I've been a bad vice-captain and not posted on here in ages. razz

Hope you feel better soon, Manguusu!

I've just been swamped with work lately. I need to buy some "Green Juice" to help me boost up again. I love this stuff; it has everything from apples and kiwi to spirulina to wheat grass in it. Hooray for Cali-style everything-that-could-possibly-be-good-for-you-all-in-one-smoothy health!

DON'T STOP THE ANTIBIOTIC PLEASE!!! (sorry for all caps) We have been creating super bugs by people not taking their full antibiotic doses. The bugs live through it and then go on to tell their little buddies how to survive it and then we end up with superbugs like MRSA. So PLEASE finish the antibiotic!

M.Bison: "They let a whelp like you head the Mishima Zaibatsu?"

I understand that; I probably have one of those because the ones I'm on aren't working. And the ones I'm on are very potent. All they do is make me nauseous and they're probably killing the good bacteria in my system. I'm not gonna stop taking them until I hear back from my doctor and he gives the OK, but why take something that doesn't kill the infection?

*shrugs* I am not a doctor yet so whatever your doctor says is probably better than my advice. And undoubtedly it's killing the natural bacteria in your intestines and such... Try taking pro-biotics to counter the effect on your stomach. It will help with stopping the diarrhea. I suggest PB8 or Pearls.

I did my first three dives, yesterday. Scuba diving is hard work! Literally, everthing aches--my toes, my fingers my back, my limbs, even the top of my head. My throat is sore from breathing so much dry air. But it was worth it! mrgreen

Also, my BioMed Stats class starts today. Cue the funeral dirge.

Glad you're having fun! ^_^

I have a story for you people who are interested.
So... Yesterday was my second day of the EMT course I'm taking. I've been getting far too little sleep lately and it's making me irritable. As per the usual, there is one person in the class that is always asking stupid questions. One thing about me is that very few things succeed at angering me. Sincerely stupid people is one of those two things and the other is closed minded people. It's about 2pm and my professor is going over reproductive system and we go on a rabbit trail down the gender queer lane. Our sincerely stupid person in the back is asking sincerely stupid questions about Transwomen. It's not so much that I was frustrated at the interest in Transwomen (I was actually quite happy that someone was so curious)... it was more that I was getting pissed off at the level of incompetence that this person, who is attempting to become an emergency medical technician, was showing. Questions like "can a man who becomes a woman ever have a menstrual cycle?" where the teacher gives the "WTF?!" look and calmly answers the question... things like that are happening. And then... the straw on the camels back. Another person, who I feel sorry for, asked the question "what about if their parents don't approve of them being transgenders?" At this point, all of my hot-switches are flipped because in comes the closed minded approach and before the professor can respond, I loudly say "They can go ******** themselves." My professor stopped, looked at me and said "I appreciate that" and then turned to answer her with a politically correct version of what I had just said.
I hang around after class to apologize to the prof and when I finally get the chance, he tells me that he really DID appreciate it and that he wants the class to attack any bit of discrimination or hatred that we find. He said something along the lines of "you should be more forward with the things that bother you." I then proceeded to tell him that I am Transgendered myself and he said "How awesome is that?" and asked me about the details about it.
I know it seems sort of anti-climactic but in a weird way, yesterday was a really good day.

@ Foxy
I'm glad things turned out well after a mentally exhausting scenario such as that. Normally, when my temper snaps, no one appreciates it. sweatdrop ..And it sounds like you have found a new opportunity to make a real friend.

So... My son turns 10 today! crying I feel so old.

Anyways, I am so far behind where I want to be. We had a bit of drama last week that stressed me out a slowed me down considerably. Now that it's over though, it's been hard to find my motivation. I'm trying to kick my a** into gear, but it just doesn't want to do what I need it to do... My bed is calling me... and I keep almost answering it...

Anyway... We did do our taxes, and I will have the money for a vehicle very soon, which peps me up in mind but not body... I have been cruising the classifieds trying to find the vehicle for me, so far nothing is speaking to me though...

anti-climactic my a**! biggrin that story made my heart lift! mrgreen that's so awesome, congradulations on your glory moment! heart

@ Elta: yer, not old. xd trust me on that. I don't consider folks old till about 50... and I'm told that that's middle aged. I usually count 25-30 for typical "child's age = 0 years" points, and I'm sure that that number is lowering in actuality anyway. so you'd have to have an adult child till you were considered old.

@ Scarlet: WOOOOH!! ^.^ diving for awesomeness and win!

Actually the age people are having kids is increasing, not decreasing, albeit slowly. in 1970, the average age in the US was 21. In 2008 it was 25. In the UK it's currently 29. (!)

I had an AWESOME weekend...
I got an SUV for half of what we set aside for a vehicle.
I got a new radio for it, because it only has a tape deck ...
I got a PS3 with some of the left over money....
And my husband and I had so much fun making fun of several car dealers who thought we were chumps.
I am pretty happy. blaugh

I did my last beach-dive on Sunday. I'm now a certified scuba diver, but this time I lost my mask. $60, in the drink. Kinda ticked off about it. I'm going to Play It Again Sports to get a used one for a bit cheaper. But at least I'm alive and certified. ^_^

Anyone need a dive partner?
